How to Check GATE 2025 Application Form Status

Candidates can check their GATE 2025 application form status by visiting the GOAPS portal or official website - gate2025.iitr.ac.in. Here are the steps to check the GATE application form status -

  • Visit the official website - gate2025.iitr.ac.in
  • Click on the application link
  • Log in using the credentials - Enrollment ID and password
  • Once logged in, candidates can see their name and enrollment ID, and the status of the registration form

GATE 2025 Application Form Under Scrutiny

The GATE application form under scrutiny states that your application form is being reviewed. It’s a process of rectifying your information to verify your eligibility. The GATE authorities run down a verification process, where they recheck whether all the details provided are correct. Candidates should not worry about this. If there is any discrepancy in the GATE registration form, the authorities will inform you of their registered e-mail ID and mobile number. Candidates can refer to the e-mail below to understand the GATE 2025 application under scrutiny process. 

Q:   Do I need 75% to get into DTU?

A:

For admission to most of the undergraduate and postgraduate courses offered at Delhi Technological University, students are required to score 50% to 60% minimum aggregate in their last qualifying degree or course to be eligible. A course-wise list of eligibility criteria for DTU admission is mentioned in the following table:

Hence, as per the table, it can be concluded that while all 75% scorers will be preferred at DTU, the minimum requirement to get admission and be eligible for DTU admission is comparatively low. 

Q:   Can I do M.Tech in IIT Madras without GATE?

A:

MTech admission at IIT Madras is primarily based on GATE scores, followed by COAP counselling. However, as per the basic eligibility criteria mentioned on the official website of IIT Madras, getting admission at the institute without qualifying for the GATE entrance exam is possible. For this, candidates must have a BTech degree from one of the IITs, with a minimum CGPA of 8.0 (on a scale of 10). Such candidates can directly apply for MTech admission through the official IIT Madras website. These applications are then reviewed by the respective departments before taking the final admission decision.

Q:   When will the GATE 2025 registration start?

A:

IIT Roorkee has REVISED the GATE 2025 application form dates. As per the revised schedule, GATE 2025 registrations had started on 28 August, 2024. The last date for GATE 2025 registration have been extended to October 3, 2024 (without late fees). Earlier, candidates had to submit the application form by 26 September 2024, with regular fees. Candidates will be able to submit the GATE 2025 application form with late fees until October 11, 2024 (extended).

To enroll for the GATE exam, candidates have to pay a requisite fee of INR 900 (for female/SC/ST/PWD candidates) and INR 1800 (for other candidates) during the regular period. A late fee of INR 500 is charged for candidates applying after October 3, 2024.

Can I edit my GATE Application Form if it's under scrutiny?

Candidates cannot make any changes or edits if the GATE application form is under the scrutinising process. In such cases, the GATE authorities will contact you personally via e-mail or text.

  • Click on “New Candidate Registration”
  • Fill in the required details, such as name, e-mail ID, mobile phone, etc. 
  • Once registration is complete, candidates will receive an enrollment ID and password on their communication details.
  • Log in using the credentials and fill out the rest of the details, such as personal, communication, exam, educational qualification details, etc.
  • Upload the documents as per the specifications
  • Recheck all the details and make the payment of the application fee

GATE 2025 Application Form and Fees

The GATE 2025 Registration Form is available at gate2025.iitr.ac.in. The last dates to submit the application form without any late fee were October 3, 2024, and October 11, 2024, by paying a late fee. The GATE application fee for female/SC/ST/PwD category students is INR 900 (during the regular period) and INR 1400 (if paid during the extended period). For other applicants and foreign nationals, the application fee for GATE is INR 1800 (during the regular period) and INR 2300 (during the extended period). 

The Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee (IIT Roorkee) will conduct the GATE 2025 exam on Feb 1, 2, 15, and 16, 2025, in two sessions - Morning (9:30 am to 12:30 pm) and Afternoon (2:30 pm to 5:30 pm). 

Q:   What is the last date of filling the GATE 2025 Application form?

A:

GATE 2025 Registrations started on 28 August 2024. The last date for the GATE 2025 Registration has been extended to October 3, 2024 due to several requests from the applicants. Q:   Can I join IISc without JEE Main?

A:

The answer to this question depends on the course you are applying at IISC.

For Bachelor of Technology (BTech) programme, aspirants are offered admission based on JEE Main score. Hoewever, for BSc programme admission,  JEE is not compulsory. Candidates with a valid score in IISER Aptitude Test can also get admission. For other courses such as MTech, MSc and PhD, JEE Main is not required for admission at Indian Institute of Science (IISC).

Q:   Can I get MTech in IIT Bombay with GATE?

A:

Yes, GATE score is required to get admission to IIT Bombay course. However, aspirants who have not qualified GATE can also get admission based on written test conducted by the institute. The shortlisted candidates are further called for a personal interview round. In order to be eligible to apply for the course, an aspirant must have a BE/ BTech/ BSc/ Bachelor of Architecture and Bachelor of Planning/ MSc/ MCA/ MBBS/ MPharm/ BPharm/ BDS/ degree recognised equivalent to BE/ BTech with a minimum of 60% aggregate (55% aggregate for SC/ ST/ PwD category) earned through Associate Membership Examinations conducted by recognised professional bodies to apply for MTech course.

Q:   I got 85 percentile in CAT. Can I get a seat at IIT Bombay?

A:

IIT Bombay CAT Cutoff 2023 was released in the form of CAT percentile. The Cutoff was released for different categories under the All India category. In 2023, the Cutoff percentile to get MBA at IIT Bombay was 90. The IIT Bombay MBA Cutoff percentile has remained constant for the past three years. Therefore, it is less likely for candidate getting 85 percentile to get admission at IIT Bombar, among the General AI category. 

Q:   Can I join IIT Bombay after Class 12?

A:

Admission to the institute after Class 12 is open for BTech, BS and BDes courses. After completing Class 12, candidates must qualify JEE Main, JEE Advanced followed by the JoSAA Counselling for BTech and BS courses. For BDes, UCEED score is required for admission.
