Q:   Does IIT Delhi provide hostel accommodation to its students?

A:
Yes, IIT Delhi offers adequate hostel facilities for all students. The hostel at IIT Delhi was built in the 1960s. And, they're managed well to date. The room for the first year's B.Tech is a 3-seater (which was two-seater earlier). In some hostels, there are two-seater rooms too (as there are 13 hostels with different maps and infrastructure). The rooms are less spacious if you and your roommates wish to stay in the room all the time (it doesn't happen though). Below mentioned is a review of the IIT Delhi hostel facilities, as per a recent graduate: "There are 3 beds on which many people sleep (mostly 5+ at exam times). There are 3 tables, 3 chairs and 2 almirahs with four slots each. There are two LAN ports for 3 people. You manage it as there is a Wi-Fi facility too. Also, in a room, there are two fans, two tube lights and four electricity boards."

Really good college and nice crowd. Only the top students of the country get admission here.

Infrastructure: IITs have top-notch facilities and infrastructure. Chemical labs are equipped with the latest technologies, apparatuses, and equipment. The library is open for about 20 hours and is also equipped with Wi-Fi. The quality of food in the mess and canteen is excellent. The sports facilities lack a bit; the fields are very crowded.

IIT Delhi: The average college in India.

Infrastructure: IIT Delhi's hostel infrastructure is in dire need of an upgrade. Many of the hostels are over 60 years old, and have seen minimal renovation or upgrades in recent years. A modern update would greatly improve the overall living experience. The IITD hospital also has its limitations, with a shortage of well-qualified doctors and outdated facilities. This can make it challenging for students to receive quality medical care on campus. On a positive note, the library stands out as a valuable resource...

One of the best IITs in India, IIT Delhi.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure, of course, and college are very excellent. The classrooms, the entire academic block, and the library are very well designed and highly maintained by the college management. But coming to the hostels, they are little older buildings, and all of them need to be renovated for better comfort of the students. The campus is completely covered with Wi-Fi, and coming to the mess served in my campus, it’s okay but needs to be improved in taste because the varieties served are good, b...

Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure available to our department will surely be the best, as it is one of the most reputed colleges all across India. The hostel has all the facilities, including a mess and a gym. Medical facilities are also provided; there is a hospital on the IIT Delhi campus.

Good facilities, excellent placements.

Infrastructure: The hostel rooms are bad. For 1st year, you either get a triple-sharing room or a double-sharing room. The one I have gotten in my first year is the triple-sharing one. It has 2 big almirahs, 2 mirrors, 2 small almirahs, 2 cupboards, 2 fans, and three beds. The food in the mess is quite good, but sometimes they mess up with the taste. There is a hospital on campus where students can go for check-ups without any charges by showing the medical booklet provided by the institute. There are many faci...

IIT Delhi is the best for academics and overall improvement. Students can learn various skills.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure for academics and extracurricular activities is top-notch. The library is top-class. Hostels are also good, with each hostel having sufficient facilities and a night mess. Cleaning is also good at the hostel. Though the hostel buildings for B.Tech are old, one may find it difficult as they mainly have three-occupancy rooms at the hostel.

Infrastructure: Well, here as in lab all the facilities were provided by the college that we need in lab and also it provides a guide session about our course that what should we do or not. Well, my hostel is Jwalamukhi and it provides too much facilities like cleaning facilities, playground, TV room, common room.

This college can be a bit stressfull sometimes, but overall a dream college for all.

Infrastructure: The labs are in holder buildings known as blocks. They are a bit worn down due to them being pretty old. Rest no information. Regarding hostels, it is a bit cramped. Three people are allotted a room for two. Sometimes water supply gets shut off at night. For sports, there is a badminton and basketball court and a Table tennis table. Wi-Fi is also good. Food can be bad sometimes.
