IIT Delhi Scholarship Details ,Hauz khas

Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi) offers several scholarships both at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels which are based on the financial situation of the students or their academic performances. A programme-wise split of IIT Delhi scholarships are mentioned in the table given below:

UG Programmes

Institute Free Studentship (UG)

- Open for 10% of students admitted

- Given on the basis of income alone

Scholarship for SC/ ST/ PwD Students

- Offered tuition fee exemption and other benefits

- Given to SC/ ST/ PwD students irrespective of their parents’/ guardians’ income

Donor Scholarship

- Offered through grants received from different individuals, trusts and organisations

Institute Merit-cum-Means Scholarships

- Offered INR 1,000 per month and tuition fee exemption

- Open for 25% of students admitted under UG level in the Engineering & Technology stream

- Parental income must not exceed INR 4.50 lakh

Institute Merit Prizes and Certificates

- Offered a one-time award of INR 2,500

- Given to the top 7% of students of each four-year BTech and five-year dual degree

PG Programmes

Scholarship for MSc students

- Offered INR 1,000 per month and tuition fee exemption

- Open for 25% of students admitted to the MSc programme

- Parental income must not exceed INR 4.5 lakh

Scholarship for MTech, MS (Research) and MDes students

- Fellowships and scholarships instituted by industries and individuals are offered

Scholarship for PhD students

- Offered to students admitted on a full-time basis

- Offered Teaching/ Research Assistantship, provided they are not getting any other equivalent fellowship

Really good college and nice crowd. Only the top students of the country get admission here.

Placements: Almost 90% of the students were placed. The highest package was above 1 crore, and the lowest was around 10 lacs. Companies that came for placements were Google, Microsoft, Nvidia, and many more core and non-core companies. The percentage of students getting internships was also high, about 80%. The roles offered were in tech, the core chemical field, consulting, analyst positions, etc.

IITD is one of the great experiences for my educational journey.

Placements: In our last batch, around 14 students were placed. The highest salary package was 14 LPA, and the lowest salary package was 6 LPA. EdTech company was highly interested in our batch. Internships offered were in research field. Course will prepare students more for tech side as compared to teaching side.

IIT Delhi: The average college in India.

Placements: IIT Delhi has a strong placement record for Textile Engineering students. About 80% of students secure jobs through campus placements. The placement cell works with top recruiters to provide students with valuable preparation resources and support.

Review of IIT Delhi, B.Tech in Chemical Engineering.

Placements: Our batch has not experienced the placement session, but the placement percentage is around 90%. As per observation, placement offers are less than in previous years, but there has been an increase in internship offers, especially in our batch. There is a significant increase in the number of internships offered.

One of the best IITs in India, IIT Delhi.

Placements: The percentage of students who get placed is very high; it’s around 98 percent, and the highest package offered is around 58 Lacs. The lowest package offered is around 8 Lacs, and the median is around 14 Lacs for my course. The percentage of students who get internships or study projects under professors is 100 percent; that is, all of them will get any of them for sure. All about IIT Delhi electrical branch.

Placements: As you know, IIT is known for their packages in reputed companies, as I am in the electrical branch, so the lowest package is around 15 lakhs and the highest goes up to 1 crore and above; the average is around 22 lakhs. Most of the students get internships from my course.

Yes, there are fee waiver for family income less than 6 Lacs and it depends on category too, if you are from backward caste with less income, you will get 60-100% fee waiver and scholarships.

The fees for IITD is around 1.75 lacs for B.Tech but there are scholarships for the non-creamy layer of the society.

Yes, if anyone get a seat through counseling after GATE exam in any college he/she will get a stipend. So whether it is IIT or NIT you will get stipend. All the best.
