I'm satisfied with the campus atmosphere and placements.

Placements: Around 100% of placements are provided in our course. The salary offered is Rs.18,000 - Rs.25,000 per month. All the major shipping companies visit our college to recruit students. All the students get placed in our college except for those students who are interested in their higher studies.

IMU Chennai is a dream for several aspirants.

Placements: IMU Chennai is one of the most reputed colleges. Earlier, this college offered 100% placements, but now, this college offers 70-80% placements. The minimum package offered is 6 LPA, and the average package is 8 LPA. This college does not provide internships. The students can apply for off-campus internships. Many of the deserving cadets are selected by companies before the completion of their courses. To take admission in this college, you have to qualify IMUCET.

Our college is a nice college.

Placements: Placements are good because students will get a sponsorship from Executive Ship Management which means placements are 100%. Students will get placed in Executive Ship Management for on-board training with a waiting period of a little bit more than a year.

I am fully satisfied with the mess food and the ambience of college campus.

Placements: SIMS provides placement for everybody for all kinds of courses. ESM is the top company which recruits students from all kinds of courses. 100 percent of students get internships from the course I am pursuing which is DNS(Diploma in Nautical Science). Sometimes BP shipping company comes too, to provide placements for students in SIMS.

Not that good, Anglo or Tolani is better.

Placements: All students here get sponsorships from different companies for pursuing programmes like M.Sc. in synergy fleet management. In the training period, you get 400-900 dollars for MMSI, M.Sc. in fleet management, etc.

Our college is situated near the sea coast line.

Placements: Students are offered with a job with the average salary package offered of almost 1 LPA-1.5 LPA with a contract period of a maximum of 6 months. Additional wages depend on companies, and about 100 students got placed in campus selection. The top role offered in our course is CPTN. Top recruiting companies for our course are Synergy, Woollam, Cisco and Marine World.

The college is quite simple and good enough but needs a lot to improve.

Placements: Around 50% of the students get a chance to get placed in MNCs. Every cadet needs to work on board as a trainee marine engineer.

Very much disappointed due to zero placements. Faculty members are good.

Placements: Zero Placement. Everything from recruiting companies to the internship was just there for the name. We have to find solutions to everything on our own. So I don't recommend my college to any of the students of this industry.

Placements: I am B.Sc Nautical Science final year cadet. My course completion date is 31st july and by march 6th there are total 45% cadet placed who are all clear in their exam and still 2 to 3 companies will come so placement percentage will reach upto 75 to 80%. MOL is the top recruiting company. Top salary is 600 US Dollar and the lowest salary is 400 US Dollar for deck cadet.

Placement was very good especially for B.Sc. nautical Science.

Placements: All the students who are all clear in semester exams gets a placement opportunity and in every batch around 70 percent students get placed in good companies. Students with arrears in semester exams also get a placement opportunity but on promise that they would clear it before course completion.

I think the college is worth joining but the only problem is the fees which is about 5.7 LPA.

Placements: As per the placements, in DNS course we only get admission if we are sponsored by any shipping company. For DNS you are having placement even before you join college. Also, you can register yourself for sponsorship test in IMI so whenever a company will come the institute will call you at their campus to give the test of that particular company. Therefore, we can say placements are 100 percent.

The best college for merchant navy.

Placements: We have got sponsorships from companies that's why the placement was 100%. Cadet's salary after the course depends on the company but it is almost 500 dollars. Top companies who visit our college are MAERSK, FML, etc. Almost everyone who has succeeded in their terms got to join the ships.

It is a good college to study in marine.

Placements: Most of the time, our college puts high efforts in providing placements for students, but due to market situations, there will be a problem. However, for our course, our college provided a company where we attended the interview and got placed. Still, there is a little more improvement.
