Q:   Is it worth pursuing M.E./M.Tech at YMCA University?

    A:
    {Source: M.E./M.Tech students & alumni}

Based on the reviews and feedback from students and alumni, here's a summary of the pros and cons:

    Pros:
    * Campus life is great, with many clubs, sporting grounds, and facilities.
    * Faculty members are generally experienced and knowledgeable.
    * Research opportunities and seminars are organized regularly.
    * Hostel facilities are available for girls and boys, although the condition may vary.

    Cons:
    * Curriculum is outdated and redundant, leading to limited job prospects.
    * Placements for M.Tech (CSE) are poor, and students often struggle to find jobs.
    * Teachers may lack qualifications in M.Tech and prioritize theoretical over practical learning.
    * Facilities such as drinking water, canteen food, and washrooms need improvement.
    * High expectations regarding grades and attendance can lead to stress.

Considering these points, while YMCA University may have some strengths, the overall experience seems to be mixed. Students may face challenges finding suitable employment due to the outdated curriculum and poor placements. However, those interested in research or wanting to gain hands-on experience may still consider attending the institution. Ultimately, it depends on individual priorities and goals.

Q:   How is the overall infrastructure of YMCA University?

    A:
    {Source: M.Tech students & alumni]

The university allows girls to move around outside within restricted timings, and dress code is flexible. Sports facilities and additional expenses like eating out are available, and there is a moderately busy calendar of college events. The mess food is of acceptable quality and hygiene, and attendance policies are enforced with penalties for incomplete attendance. There is no language challenge, and student support services are available. The academic schedule is moderate with monthly exams, and teaching methodology is textbook-based with case study discussions. The campus is secure with guards and CCTV cameras, and outsiders cannot enter without permission. The college has a strict policy against ragging, and leaving the hostel premises requires authority permission. All modes of transport are available from the campus.

Based on the reviews provided, the overall infrastructure of the college appears to be mixed. Some reviewers have praised the college's computer labs, Wi-Fi facilities and library, which they describe as well-maintained and with a good collection of books. However, other reviewers have criticized the college's hostel facilities, citing a lack of clean drinking water, dirty washrooms and poor maintenance. Additionally, some reviewers have noted that the college's infra structure is not up to par, with one reviewer describing the hostel building as "old" and another mentioning a shortage of clean drinking water.

Summary: While the college seems to have some strengths in terms of its technological infrastructure, particularly its computer labs and library, its physical infrastructure, such as the hostels and washrooms, may require improvement.

    Style over substance, YMCA.
Placements: The students are eligible for campus placements starting in the 6th semester. The minimum CGPA requirement is 7 without backlogs for campus placements. Campus placement was bad; many of the chemical companies didn't come for recruitment and the curriculum is mostly outdated and redundant. Professors aren't also great.
Infrastructure: Campus life was great. Many clubs, both technical and non-technical, are great in their own regard. Sporting ground are great and big and include football field, running track, cricket net, etc. It is the best part about the college. The hostels were okay at best and hostel blocks are separate based on academic performance.
Faculty: The curriculum in general was fine but redundant for the most part. The topics covered are outdated and leave a lot to be desired. The exams were also just right after the lab practical exams, leaving not much time for studying. The curriculum is usually finished 2-3 days before end-of-semester exams.

It is great for the computer science and information technology departments.
Placements: The university provides a wide range of opportunities for bachelor's and master's degrees. In comparison to the master's degree, the opportunities for bachelor's are comparatively greater. Top recruiting companies for the course are Capgemini, Accenture, IBM, Cognizant, Josh Technology, Wiley Three, and many more. The highest package for master's in our batch is about 10 LPA, and the average is about 6 LPA.
Infrastructure: It has neither a huge campus nor more infrastructure but has enough facilities for your development. The college does not have sufficient hostel facilities for all students. For boys, hostels are available only in the first year.
Faculty: Faculty members of the college are good and very experienced. They also have fresher teachers who have good knowledge of the latest curriculum and technology and are pursuing their Ph.D. currently. The most experienced teachers are professors, and under them are assistant professors. There are guest faculty members. Each department is headed by a HOD and all come under the VC. Semester exams are very well designed according to the curriculum. The passing percentage is 40 marks for all the exams. We require 40% exclusively in internals and externals to pass the course.
Other: It is one of the best colleges in Haryana for computer science and information technology branches. You can prefer it if you are not getting good NIT and IIT.

All you need to know about ymca.
Placements: Students after 2th sem are eligible for placements, well-known companies like AWS, Infosys, and IBM come to the campus. On records, the highest package here is 25lpa and the highest internship offered is 45000 per month. I plan to try off-campus placements as soon as I complete my degree.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is very good. It has very student friendly design. They conduct many events. It includes both technical and cultural events. The faculty is well experienced and has very good knowledge about the subjects. Campus is still under construction and there are very few facilities as it is still in the beginning stage.
Faculty: As already mentioned the faculty are highly qualified and experienced some are from IIT's itself whereas there are several professors who are qualified from esteemed foreign universities. You can interact learn and reach out any faculty at almost anytime and most of them are quite generous to help.

Review of J. C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA.
Placements: You don't believe in placements. M.Tech placements are very poor for the CSE branch. If they place you in a company, they will tell you in your final semester not to do the job and will ask you to sit in college. No classes happen in our college. You have to sit and pass your time.
Infrastructure: I don't know about the college hostel but the hostel building is too old. In our college, there is no proper drinking water. The washroom is not cleaned and only the faculty bathroom is cleaned. They will lock it and have the key with them.
Faculty: Faculty members are not qualified in M.Tech. If you ask for some coding from your teachers, they do not give a solution. They simply tell us to search on google. They teach us only theory rather than practical. I suggest every college deal with practicals so that theory knowledge comes automatically.
Other: I will not recommend anyone join M.Tech at JC Bose YMCA University.

Our university is not the best.
Placements: Around 67% of M.Tech CSE students are placed. The highest salary package is 9.7 LPA and the lowest salary package is 4 LPA. Top Recruiting companies are L&T, Mahindra & Mahindra, Infosys, TCS, Accenture, etc.
Infrastructure: College has well-maintained computer labs. Wi-Fi facilities are available. Library is good which is both offline as well as an online library portal with all journals access for research students. Canteen food quality is average and also a shortage of clean drinking water.
Faculty: Teachers are good, experienced, and helpful. Some teachers have an ego problem, they fail the students. Our last semester of M.Tech is tough. Everything happened at the last moment like attendance criteria, report submission, and research publication.

Review of J. C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA.
Placements: No backlogs are allowed and 70% are required to sit in placement. This university allows TCS, HCL, and other top companies for hiring students. Software developers, web developers, and fronted and backed developers get the opportunity. Approximately 4 LPA is the lowest offer and the highest package is 15 LPA.
Infrastructure: The library is famous for its books collection you can prepare for any exam and related to college subject you choose many types of book. The library allows online studies. Their infrastructure maintains the student requirements according to studies, computer systems, and so on. Girls' and boys' hostel facility is also available at this university. The food provided was good.
Faculty: Most teachers are Ph.D. qualified and also belong to IIT colleges and NIIT colleges. Their teaching experiences help students in various fields like writing research papers and thesis. Every time college faculty organize various seminars and webinars for the mental and educational growth of students.
