Q:   Is BCA at YMCA University worth the investment?

    A:
    {Source: BCA students & alumni}

Based on the feedback from students and alumni, here's a summary of the pros and cons:

    Placement and Career Opportunities:
    * About 50-60% of students get placed every year, with average packages ranging from INR3-3.5 LPA.
    * Recruiters include TCS, Wipro, Amazon, Adobe, and Samsung.
    * Alumni have reported receiving job offers with salaries ranging from INR4-8 Lacs per annum.

    Faculty and Curriculum:
    * Teachers are generally knowledgeable and helpful, but some may lack teaching skills.
    * Course curriculum is somewhat outdated, and could benefit from updates.
    * Practical and theoretical classes are taught separately by different teachers.

    Infrastructure and Facilities:
    * Infrastructure is average, with some buildings being newly constructed.
    * Hostels are available, but conditions vary.
    * Medical facilities are good, but sports and games facilities could be improved.

    Student Life and Events:
    * Campus life is decent, with occasional events and festivals.
    * Students report enjoying themselves despite some restrictions on rules and regulations.

    Conclusion:
While BCA at YMCA University may not be ideal, it seems to offer decent placement prospects and a reasonable education experience. However, prospective students should be aware of the potential drawbacks, such as outdated curriculum and varying infrastructure standards. Ultimately, whether or not the programme is "worth" the investment depends on individual priorities and goals.

Q:   How does the placement cell for BCA at YMCA University assist students in getting placed?

    A:
    {Source: BCA students & alumni}

Placement Cell Assistance for BCA Students at YMCA University

Based on student reviews and feedback, here's what we've gathered about the placement cell assistance offered to BCA students at YMCA University:

    * Faculty Support: Students appreciate the supportive nature of the faculty members, who are willing to guide and help them throughout the placement process.
    * Curriculum Relevance: The curriculum is considered up-to-date and relevant, with main subjects like Operating System, OOPS, and DSA being taught, which are important for interviews.
    * Senior Guidance: Seniors are reportedly helpful and provide guidance and notes to junior students, making it easier for them to prepare for placements.

It appears that while the university has made efforts to establish a strong placement cell, more emphasis could be placed on providing better infrastructure and resources to aid in the placement process. However, overall, students seem to appreciate the support received from faculty members and seniors during their time at YMCA University.

I'm satisfied with the study material and the way students get teached.
Placements: The highest salary package offered is 10 LPA and the minimum salary package offered is 2.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies are TCS and Wipro. Almost 60% of students got placed with no backlogs. Placement facilities are very good and the companies approached are reputed.
Faculty: Faculty members including helping hands are very friendly and helpful. They provide students with the best security and have great knowledge in their respective fields. Helping hands are all so very polite and respectful towards every student. Teachers have a great knowledge and a very long experience. Course is very relevant and due to the knowledgeable teachers the study is easy. Pass percentage is 33% which is a bit high but with the help of faculty members it gets easy to pass.
Other: I chose this course because of my interest in this field.

Decent placements, supportive faculty, good infrastructure.
Placements: Around 60-70% of students from my course (BCA Data Science, Batch 2024) were placed. The highest package was 10 LPA, the lowest was 3 LPA, and the average was around 5 LPA. Companies like TCS, Infosys, and Wipro recruited from our batch. Approximately 40% of students secured internships in companies like Deloitte and Cognizant, primarily in roles like data analyst and software developer.
Infrastructure: The college has decent infrastructure, including Wi-Fi-enabled classrooms, a well-equipped library, and modern labs for practical sessions. Hostel facilities are satisfactory, with clean rooms and decent food in the mess. Sports facilities are available but could be improved. Medical facilities are basic but functional.
Faculty: The faculty is knowledgeable and approachable, always willing to assist students with doubts and projects. However, some teaching methods could be more interactive and engaging. The curriculum is fairly well-structured and covers essential topics, helping students acquire basic industry-ready skills. While it is relevant to current trends, there is scope for updating it further to align with emerging technologies. Semester exams are moderately challenging, encouraging students to understand concepts thoroughly. The pass percentage is around 80%, indicating a balanced level of difficulty and preparation required.
Other: Yes, I would recommend this college for those looking for decent placements and good infrastructure, though some improvements in teaching and facilities are needed.

Life at ACEM. It is not the worse.
Placements: Placements are only for students with no backlogs and a CGPA of 7.0 or higher in previous semesters. The top companies that visited the campus were Zomato, Infosys, Zepto, TCL, etc. The average package was around INR 10,000 per month. The roles offered in my course were mostly web developer positions.
Infrastructure: The classrooms at this college are quite large, but the benches and seating arrangements are just average. The campus has Wi-Fi, but it doesn't work most of the time, so we will have to use our own data plan. There is a canteen on campus where we can hang out and eat with our friends.
Faculty: The curriculum of the courses at YMCA University is relevant to the field, but it includes some extra subjects like English (ecc, wsr), and EVs (1,2), which are not relevant to the course. Semester exams are something we have to study for, and they are designed so that we can fail if we don't take them seriously.

You can choose this college; there are setbacks, but still, they can be worked around.
Placements: Students with more than 7 CGPA in all the semesters and no backlogs are placed in the placement cell. Top recruiting companies are Zomato, Infosys, Mahindra, TCS, etc. The highest package received is seven Lacs per annum (700,000 y), and the average package received is ten thousand (10,000) per annum.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available on the campus, but only limited to the building. I've never eaten hostel food but it doesn't seem that bad, according to some of my friends. The hostel building looks like a hospital, with a big dining table for everyone to eat together and rooms with windows, B.Ed light, and a fan. Labs are available depending upon your course; you'll find related labs.
Faculty: Some teachers are quite helpful and knowledgeable, but some are just not so much. There are 3 exams conducted: 2 sessional exams and 1 pre-university test, then the university exam for the semester. The curriculum depends upon YMCA-affiliated university.
Other: There are fests organized mostly during February. There is a freshers' party and farewell party, for which students have to contribute too.

This college can't give you college experience.
Placements: Placements here are quite good. As BCA came in the college for the first time, so I do not know much about placement of BCA students. But the placement for other Computer Science students is good, and many students got placed. The top recruiting companies select students based on technical skills and intellect.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good. The college spreads over 27 hectares of land but feels boring after some time. The Wi-Fi is so bad that you can't even text anyone. Labs are quite good and well maintained, but they don't allow students to use the labs in their free time. Hostel is good according to the fee they charge. The mess is also good, but the college canteen is very bad. The stuff here has no taste. It just feels that I wasted my money every time when I eat from the college canteen.
Faculty: Teachers here are helpful and supportive by nature. They help the students irrespective of their gender. They are knowledgeable and have experience in teaching. The curriculum is not that much relevant to the course; there are many subjects which have nothing to do with the course but just add mental pressure on students. Semester exams are difficult to pass even. I don't know why, but they set the exam paper very tough and give the most unexpected questions in the exams.
Other: I personally like this course because of its affordability. The only thing I want that should improve in this course is that the unnecessary and irrelevant subjects should be removed from the course that put unnecessary pressure on students. Events organized here but not that much huge and engaging; they are just organized in the room like seminar hall, and sometimes some students don't get notified if there is any function in the college. Scholarships here are given on the basis of the caste system.

Our college is good in some places but not everplces firstly they would change there checking type .
Placements: Currently I am in second year but when I am talking to the seniors they said they can not get any internship until the last year and not so many companies come into college The exact amount is I don't know but it would be maximum 3LPA They posted many companies like google adobi TCS etc.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure are quite good classrooms are good as well are desks are comfortable also but labs are not so good the systems are very old and they teach us in tubro c but that's the 20 year back technology and Wi-Fi are not present in any classrooms .
Faculty: Some teachers are very knowledgeable but not every teacher are knowledgeable No they can not doing any kind of curriculum relevant and they can not make us to industry ready The exam are not that difficult but the checking are very bad because they check very tight the average marks of passing is 30 if some student get 29 they can not give them 1 number to get pass .
