Review of J. C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA.
Placements: My course is Data Science which was recently introduced. Some students have secured placements in top product companies off-campus, while others have been placed in tech companies on campus. However, many students are struggling right now. To be honest, it's a game of luck and skills. Internships in top companies are rare.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is quite good. Wi-Fi is accessible everywhere but sometimes doesn't work. Hostel is only for girls right now and a boys' hostel is under construction. Girls hostel is newly constructed and has good and clean facilities. Mess food is above average.
Faculty: Most of the teachers are helpful and well-qualified for their roles. They help students in a good manner. Course curriculum is relevant and updated because of the newly introduced. But in core branches, the traditional curriculum is followed. We have end-semester exams and two class tests.
Other: I chose this course because it's in Haryana, my state, and Delhi is nearby so it's easy to attend various events and explore things. Campus is not very large so one has a good social life. There are various scholarships available.

Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure for the Information Technology department are average, with basic labs, classrooms, and access to Wi-Fi, though some equipment needed updating. Library has sufficient resources but could benefit from more digital access. Hostel facilities are manageable but not very modern, and food in the mess and canteen was decent but lacked variety. Medical facilities are available for basic needs, and sports infrastructure supports common games but requires better maintenance.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, well-qualified, and knowledgeable, providing valuable guidance in both academics and practical applications. Teaching quality is above average, with a good mix of theoretical and practical learning. Other: I chose this course because I am interested in technology and want to build a career in IT. Best parts of the course are the hands-on projects, practical learning, and helpful teachers. But, the course could improve by including more updated topics and better lab facilities. Campus has fun events and fests, and students are friendly and diverse. Surroundings are average, and connectivity to the campus is decent. Scholarships are available for those who qualify, and there are good opportunities for extracurricular activities.

Placements: 10 percent of the students were placed in local companies. The highest package is 5 LPA, the average is 2 LPA, and the lowest is 1.5 LPA. Top companies are not coming to college. The college and any company have not offered any internships at this college. The top roles offered are software engineer and web developer.
Infrastructure: The facilities of this college are average; no special facilities are provided by the college. Hostels are available at this college, AC or non-AC.
The quality of food is not good and other facilities are below average. The mess is very bad. The canteen is not available at this college.
Faculty: Teachers are average.
Teaching quality is below average. The semester exams are very difficult.

My College Experience at J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology (YMCA).
Placements: Decent placement for B.Tech students, but other courses have nearly zero placement. Mostly, Computer Science students get placed, but the Electrical department has below-average placements. Almost all Mechanical and Civil students get placed, but in bulk and at very low packages.
Infrastructure: The university campus is approximately 25 acres. It is centrally located in Faridabad, Haryana, providing easy access to Delhi while maintaining a peaceful campus atmosphere, with good metro connectivity. The infrastructure is equipped with well-maintained laboratories, smart classrooms, a library with extensive resources, and Wi-Fi across the campus. The university promotes physical activities with facilities for cricket, football, and other sports. Students can engage in regular tournaments. Girls' hostels are modern, while boys' hostels are under construction. Most male students live in nearby PGs and flats. Hostels have a mess, but food quality is average. Active technical, cultural, and social clubs like robotics, drama, and coding clubs are present. However, no festivals are organized, only Ethnic Day, and the campus is too small to manage the number of students studying.
Faculty: Curriculum is outdated, but facilities are good. Attendance of 75% is mandatory, which makes it very irritating and leads to a lot of time wastage. The library has almost all books. The curriculum is majorly focused on theory subjects rather than coding and skills needed for jobs. We have to manage our skills by ourselves, and teachers are lenient in checking.
Other: College doesn't provide internships; we have to find them ourselves. Also, the college doesn't give permission for internships before the 8th semester, which is very bad. We have to rely on ourselves.

Placements: Nearly 85% of students are placed last year from JC Bose University, Faridabad (YMCA), in Computer Engineering. The highest salary package in CSE offered was 45 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was 3.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies include Google, Amazon, Adobe, and Flipkart. Students with a CGPA above 8.5 are eligible.
Infrastructure: Whole campus is Wi-Fi equipped, and classrooms are fully ventilated, although classroom conditions are not very good. Mess and canteen are newly built, and food quality is good. Hostels are not provided for boys and girls, but faculty members are provided with first-class hostels.

The college is located inside a village with school teachers.
Placements: Can't depend on colleges for placements; they also do not promise placement. They only complete their courses. Also, their area is as small as a society park. In summers, it's disgusting because you'll not find clean water anywhere on campus, and forget about the toilets.
Infrastructure: It's a small college, with only one building having 3 floors where they manage all the courses offered. Also, the washrooms are super dirty, and sports are not taken seriously. No student can leave before 3:30 pm from campus, as there is only a single canteen.
Faculty: Teachers are not well-prepared for their subjects. Teachers change in the middle of the year without prior notice. They treat you like nursery students and frighten you by saying that they are going to call your home because you're not paying attention.
Other: You could not travel to this college with public transport; only by college bus or personal vehicles. The nearest metro is 14 km away.
