National Level Exams:

• CAT (Common Admission Test): Widely recognised as the premier MBA entrance exam in India, CAT scores hold significant weight in the JIS University admission proc
• XAT (Xavier Aptitude Test): Another prestigious exam administered by the Xavier School of Management, XAT scores are also highly valued by JIS University.
• CMAT (Common Management Admission Test): Conducted by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), CMAT scores offer a wider range of testing centers and dates compared to CAT or XAT.
• MAT (Management Aptitude Test): A popular exam conducted by the All India Management Association (AIMA), MAT offers multiple testing windows throughout the year, making it a convenient option for many aspirants.
• GMAT (Graduate Management Admission Test): While primarily targeted at international students, GMAT scores can also be used for MBA admissions at JIS University.

University Level Exam:

JIS University Entrance Test (JET): JIS University also conducts its own entrance exam, JET, specifically for admission to various programs, including MBA.

The college provides excellent placements and good ambience for students. Placements: 90% of students got placed in campus recruitment. Many students were selected from different companies, and some students also got recruited by Flipkart and many other renowned companies.

MBA is one of the popular courses of JIS University. When it comes to placements, the university offers decent placements annually. As per the latest report, the participating recruiters presented 70% job offers in the Management sector during JIS University placements 2023. The key highlights of JIS University placements for the overall Class of 2022 and 2023 are tabulated below:

JIS university allocates seat to the candidates on the basis of WBJEE score and even conduct its own entrance examination known as JELET . 

As per the latest report, the JIS University recorded 85% placement rate in the academic year 2022-2023. Earlier, the University recorded 84.4% placement rate in the academic year 2021-2022.  JIS University has concluded its placement drive for the batch passing out in 2023 with 50.79% placements rate. As per the latest report, the the highest and average package offered during JIS University placements 2023 stood at INR 7 LPA and INR 4.5 LPA, respectively. The top recruiters of JIS University in 2023 included Wipro, TCS, Outlook Group, Paytm, Alstom Transport Solutions, Mphasis, Cognizant, Tech Mahindra, Cipla, Pantaloon, Nestle, Dabur, NRS Medical College, Sagar Dutta Medical College and Hospital, Cafe Coffee Day, etc.

JIS University admission is open online. Till now, no schedule has been released by the university. Since the application portal is live, candidates can apply online for their preferred course. JIS University admissions are open for the 2024 session. The university offers various courses such as BTech, BPharma, MBA, PhD etc. at the UG, PG and PhD level. Apart from the UG and PG courses the university also offers three Diploma courses, i.e., Diploma in Hotel Management, Diploma in Food Production and Bakery and Diploma in Fodd and Beverages services. 

JIS University offers a UG course of BPharm for a duration of four years via its School of Pharmaceutical Technology. This course is approved by the Pharmacy Council of India and offered in affiliation with AICTE. To enhance the learning experience of students, the department is fully equipped with the latest analytical instruments like Heidolph rotary evaporator, Multi-station dissolution apparatus, Shimadzu UV spectrophotometer, Bruker FTIR, Agilent HPLC, Eppendorf deep freezer amongst a very few along with modern laboratories. Students also get to attend multiple seminars, workshops and training programs during the commencement of the programme. Candidates can admission to this course with a valid score of JET/WBJEE.

Candidates should have passed the Class 12 examination from a recognised Central or State Board or its equivalent in Science stream with a minimum of with 60% aggregtae with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English. JIS University course admissions selection criteria are entirely based on the university-level entrance exam called JIS University entrance test JET-2024 for UG and PG courses. This is to note that, the aptitude test followed by GD/personal interview will be practised for every course admission at JIS University.
