GLCT gives students the strength to talk.
Placements: Political parties are trying with huge companies like Infosys, IBM, etc. So by 2029 or 2030 let's expect something more. Currently, there is no room for placement. College is doing nothing but from union, we can expect good and positive changes.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure needs improvements, hostel faces a lot of difficulties with basic amenities. Ladies waiting room and classrooms are not well maintained also needs a lot of improvement. Principal and other faculty members are not concerned about the lack of facilities or infrastructure.
Faculty: Teachers are not hardworking even though they are well paid. Teachers are highly qualified. They have a lot of knowledge but they don't put effort into us. Semester wise exams are very lag that it will be difficult for us to cover portions and remember them.
Other: Campus events and fests can be enjoyed fully if we are a hosteller.

What is LBSIW: Let’s Explore.
Placements: The percentage of students placed annually is 75%. The highest package is 17 LPA, and the lowest is 3.2 LPA. The average package is 4 LPA. Top recruiting companies include IBM, UST, Infosys, Target, Visteon, and more. There are both technical and non-technical roles available.
Infrastructure: We have lab facilities, classrooms, and seminar halls for each department as well as a common one. There is a central library, which includes a digital section. Wi-Fi is available to students once they submit a request for free access. The college has a canteen, a store, and a juice bar. We also have a basketball court, and the college supports various sports and games.
Faculty: The faculty members of the college are well-experienced and easily approachable. The curriculum is relevant and well-structured, preparing students to step into the technological world. Students can score good marks if they prepare well for the semester exams.
Other: I chose this course because it offers better career opportunities. The best aspect of the course is the campus placements. The college organizes various fests such as YD, Yavanika, and the sports meet. It also has many clubs that promote extra-curricular activities among students. Scholarships are available for students in need.

Great curriculum, academics, and environment.
Placements: *50% *During 4th year, good colleges arrange campus placement drive for students. Better or more recognised colleges are able to attract MNC companies whose packages start at Rs. 3 Lac PA and go up to Rs. 7Lac at an average. Smaller companies offer Rs. 1.8 Lac onward. Through multiple grounds of placement, gradually, majority of students get placed. But after top companies have visited the colleges, the Next companies are smaller and according package keeps dropping towards 1.8 lac. Major companies only examine those students who have above 60% marks in 10th, 12th and graduation.
Infrastructure: The food served here is quite delicious and nutritious. The meals are appetizing and healthy which ensures the well- being and overall satisfaction of students. The hostel food is well-cooked and flavourful, good variety in the menu and multiple options are available for students.
Faculty: The curriculum should also be open to evaluation and change, as needed. Flexibility is the key. The school curriculum may sometimes have to respond to include new and important subjects, e. g. information about the pandemic, the need for individual action for tackling climate change etc.
Other: BBA course prepares one for managerial roles to match the demand of various industries. One can easily find a well-paid entry-level job, on completion of the programme. There is no end to excellent job opportunities for candidates who pursue an MBA after BBA.

B.Com. in Computer Application - Batch of 2025

Absolutely dissatisfied because of management.
Placements: In B.Com Computer Application, there are a total of 52 students in our class. No students got internships from our course. No companies are recruiting for our course. No roles are offered in our course. The college is not providing better education facilities. Very disappointing.
Infrastructure: When the NAAC visit was declared in the college, the college authority provided the Wi-Fi facility (just to show that there is Wi-Fi available in our college). The management is not providing Wi-Fi properly, and they are not providing a basic college environment.
Faculty: My class tutor is better at teaching but not friendly with us. The semester exams are difficult to attend. The course is not curriculum-relevant. It does not make the students industry-ready. There is only a low pass percentage. They don’t know how to manage a college.
Other: I chose this course because I am interested in the computer field and business. I don’t feel like it’s a college life at this college. The college management is not good; they treat us like school students.

I am absolutely satisfied.
Placements: About 75% of our college students get placed at companies like Wipro, IBM, Cognizant, etc. They got a salary package of 4 LPA - 13 LPA. Most of the students get placed in the B.Tech computer science and engineering course. Since it is a women's college, it is a great opportunity for women to get jobs.
Infrastructure: In our college, we have the latest model laptops and systems. All labs are air-conditioned with work during the college hours. In our college, each floor has one computer lab. The quality food is provided by the hostel. The hostel provides non-vegetarian food every weekend.
Faculty: In our college, we have highly qualified teachers. They teach us the most advanced technologies. They also help us to be involved in extracurricular activities. Students with back papers are comparatively less in our college. Teachers help us to participate in all tech fests and related programs.
Other: I chose B.Tech CS because it provides us with a handsome salary. Our college conducts tech fests. There is a famous dance team, a fashion club, and a K-pop dance team.

Bachelor of Law (LL.B.) - Batch of 2026

Review on Government Law College Thiruvananthapuram.
Placements: Though there's a placement cell in the college, the college doesn't provide placements to the students. Being law students, we can either enter litigation or the corporate field. Entering the corporate field is very competitive now, and without placement opportunities, we'll need to find a job on our own.
Infrastructure: Government Law College Thiruvananthapuram is a 150-year-old campus, and the infrastructure here needs to be improved. There are not enough classrooms to accommodate all the batch students, no recreation area, no rooms for sports facilities, no gym, not even an auditorium. The college compound is very small, restricting the authorities from building all these amenities.
Faculty: All the teachers here are highly qualified and well-educated individuals. But most of them are very egoistic and tend to take revenge on students by reducing their internal marks. Still, there are some teachers who are very helpful, motivating, and encouraging. The curriculum was a bit outdated, but it was recently revised, including the new BNSS, BNS, etc., instead of the old IPC, CRPC, etc. The university lags behind in conducting semester exams on time and puts a burden on the students. The pass percentage is very low here due to the difficulty of the exams.
Other: I chose this college because it is a government institution where you are supposed to pay only a very little amount as fees for the same kind of education that would cost you lakhs. The college needs infrastructural improvements and should provide placement opportunities to students. The students are working on conducting events, fests, and all with their limited resources, which is highly appreciable.
