King George's Medical University (KGMU) offers a three-year BSc course to students across two specialisations. Admission to this course is based on merit. Students must fulfill the minimum eligibility criteria to get admission to the KGMU BSc Nursing course. The basic eligibility criteria is pass Class 12 with Physics Biology/Biotechnology, Chemistry and English with a minimum of 50% aggregate (40% for reserved categories) from a recognised board. 

King George's Medical University was established in 1905. The university is accredited with A Grade by NAAC and is approved by UGC, DCI, and MCI. King George's Medical University is a public university which is accredited with A Grade by NAAC. Being a public university. The fee for various courses is not very high. Even if the students find the fee a little high, they can apply for the scholarships offered by the university.

KGMU Lucknow offers direct admission to only BSc aspirants. For BSc course, the selection is based on the last qualifying exam of Class 12. For other Medical and Dental courses such as MBBS, BDS, MD, DM, etc., candidates are selected based on national-level entrance exams. KGMU MD cutoff 2024 has been released for Round 1, wherein the most in-demand MD specialsiation was MD in Radio Diagnosis. The last-round closing rank for admission to the MD in Radio Diagnosis course was 143 for the General AI category students. The least important specialisation was Anatomy with a closing cutoff of 83112. DM stands for Doctor of Medicine, which is a super-specialised course in the field of Medical. Candidates can only pursue this course after getting a PG degree in Medical. For admission to a three-year DM course at KGMU, aspirants must get a PG degree in either MD/ MS or any equivalent from a recognised institution recognised by Medical Council of India or State Medical Council. Admission to this course is entirely based on NEET SS entrance exam. The eligibility criteria for DM is standard for all NEET SS aspirants.
