Uttar Pradesh University of Medical Sciences admissions are primarily entrance-based. The university considers national-level entrance-exam scores for some of the courses. UPUMS conducts CPPNET for BPharm, GNM and ANM courses. The university also  accepts NEET, NEET-MDS, NEET-PG, GPAT and NEET SS for specific courses. Candidates after qualifying the entrance exam have to participate in the counselling rounds for seat allotment.

Entrance exam scores  Uttar Pradesh University of Medical Sciences accept for admission to MBBS. In order to pass the offline entrance exam at the national level, one must achieve the NEET cutoff qualifying percentile. The NEET qualifying percentile and scores for each category are listed below.The qualifying requirements and cutoff scores for the NEET 2023 exam change depending on the category. With a cutoff range of 720–137, the 50th percentile is necessary for the UR/EWS category. The 40th percentile is required for the OBC, SC, and ST categories, with cutoff ranges of 136–107. With a cutoff range of 136–121, applicants who qualify under UR/EWS & PH must attain a 45th percentile score. The qualifying percentile for the OBC & PH, SC & PH, and ST & PH categories is 40, with cutoff ranges of 120-107, and 120-108, correspondingly. These standards and cutoff points aid in determining a candidate's eligibility and admission in various categories.
