LPU BA Eligibility & Highlights 2026
In the field of Arts, LPU BA and BA (Hons) programmes are of three-year duration each. BA, out of the two, is available in five specialisations as listed in the table below. For selection to these programmes, candidates are required to fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria set by the University as mentioned below:

LPU admission to the BA (Hons) programme is merit-based, and candidates are shortlisted based on the marks secured in HSC. Below mentioned is the detailed eligibility criteria for the same:
Eligibility criteria: Class 12 or equivalent with 60% aggregate with English as a subject. For a candidate, who has not studied English as a subject, the condition of English may be waived off provided the candidate in his qualifying exam has studied in the English medium. There is a 5% relaxation for students from North-east states and Sikkim or defence personnel and their dependents or wards of Kashmiri migrants.

LPU BA fees varies based on the selected course. The fee structure includes different components, such as tuition fees, caution money, etc. Its tuition fee ranges from INR 90,000 to INR 6 lakh. The university can revise its fee structure in an academic year. Students must note that the mentioned fee is as per the official website/ sanctioning body. LPU NEST application form fee for a soft copy of the LPU NEST 2026 Kit is INR 1000 for boys and girls. The printed copy of the LPU NEST Kit is available for INR 1500 for boys and girls. The application fee can be paid online if the application form is filled out online. The application fee can be given as a demand draft if the application form is submitted offline. If the DD is not enclosed or DD is wrongly drawn, the application form will not be accepted. The application fee has to be paid to submit the application form.

LPU does not offer direct admission. However, admission to few courses is merit-based. Aspirants scoring a 65% aggregate have a good chance of getting admission in LPU. Candidates seeking admission must visit the official website of the university to apply online. To apply for LPU, aspirants need to register for LPUNEST for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate courses. LPU admission to most of the courses is based on LPUNEST score. However, national-level entrance exam scores are also accepted for admission to BA LLB (Hons), MBA, BTech, etc. Candidates must complete Class 12 for UG courses and graduation for PG courses.
