MJPRU admissions are either entrance or merit-based. Candidates have to qualify for the minimum eligibility criteria to apply for any of the UG & PG courses. For PG courses, MJPRU conducts the MJPRU entrance exam. Apart from that for courses such as BPharm, BTech, MBA, MCA, etc., the university accepts valid scores of JEE Main, CUET UG & CUET PG entrance exams. The University offers both scholarships and financial assistance to its undergraduate and postgraduate students. However, students can apply for various scholarships offered by the Government. MJPRU Bareilly admissions are both merit and entrance-based for respective UG and PG courses. For a few UG courses such as BA, BSc, BCom, etc., admissions are offered based on candidates' merit scores obtained in their last qualifying exam. Further, to get admission to courses such as LLB, MEd, MSc, etc., candidates have to qualify for the university-level entrance exam.
