I am very satisfied because of the connection between the students and the teachers.
Placements: Around 50% of seats are reserved for Mizo people and the other 50% for JEE students. I am not so sure about the companies recruiting students. Around 90% of students got internships in multiple companies and government. Our university is below average.
Infrastructure: There are 2 hostels only for B.Tech students. There are 10 hostels on campus. Free Wi-Fi is available in every hostel and every building in the department. Our classrooms are quite good. We have a canteen for B.Tech. The quality of food is fine. For sports activities, our college is average compared to other universities.
Faculty: In my opinion, the teachers are very helpful. I think they are qualified enough to teach us. Teachers have very vast knowledge. The course curriculum is relevant. It makes students industry-ready. The difficulty of semester exams is average. The pass percentage is around 70%.
Other: I chose this course because I wanted to become a civil engineer from a young age. The best thing about this course is that we can practically apply what we learn in theory. I wish to improve practical equipment. Many events are conducted like Virthil, departmental sports, hostel sports, etc.

Overall, I'm satisfied with our college, and I would rate it 3.5 out of 5.
Placements: Not more than 30% of the students of our batch got placed through college placements. Almost 50% of our seniors got placements. Companies like Wipro, Infosys, and Power Grid visited our college to hire students. The highest package offered was Rs. 40,000 per month and the lowest was Rs. 19,500 per month. There is a placement cell under Zo-Tech committee, but it is not useful. Information about placement offers or campusing by companies are given at the last moment, and only a few can attend the interviews. Overall, placements in our college are average and need few upgrades.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good. Most of the electronic devices in classrooms were damaged. Labs and Wi-Fi facility were upgraded recently. Every year, two fests, i.e., inter-department and inter-hostel sports are organised in our college. Small clubs and groups organise other activities. The canteen was upgraded recently, and the food served now is good and much better than the previous one. There were no infrastructure issues during my tenure at the college. The hostel and classrooms are fully structured and equipped with all the necessary equipment. Loo area needs a bit maintenance and cleaning. Overall, the infrastructure is satisfactory.
Faculty: Teachers in our college were quite helpful though most of everything was done by students. Most of the teachers were qualified, but some had trouble explaining specific topics. Teaching quality was average for some subjects and excellent for others. Presentations, real-life experience sharing, etc., were used for teaching. Faculty to student ratio was around 1:6 in every semester excluding the first year, for which the ratio was 4:51. Industry exposure was not provided much; there was only one industrial training for a course of 30 days held for every 5th-semester student. Only a few things were useful in the curriculum as majorly practical studying was required for better understanding.
Other: In every even semester, there is a department fest conducted for three days. The university fest is organised for a whole week. Departmental fest mainly concerns the engineering department, and it is open for all. While the fest named Vibrio is not open for everyone; it is open for the students of our university, but some events are open for all.

The college is good so far, and hope it will grow even more to reach the point of excellence.
Placements: We are the first batch, so there are no placements yet on the campus for the students. We hope to be the first to get a job through this university for our department. Even among students, we will be appointing the placement in charge, where we can highlight ourselves to the world. We hope some good companies visit the campus for the future ahead.
Infrastructure: Our facilities are average, and the new equipment is coming in. I think our department has the best infrastructure, and our faculty members are friendly and approachable. The quality of food available in the canteen is average. If there is a competition, it will be much better, and the menu will be much tastier. The hostel rooms provided on the campus are good, but as it is becoming old, the bathrooms need repair, and some rooms have leaks, which I hope will be fixed as soon as possible.
Faculty: There is a good interaction between students and faculty. The teachers are qualified enough and share their knowledge with the students, and they provide the best they can. Powerpoint presentations are often used, which help us see through the different angle of studies, where we can visualise the actual application of the things we studied. In case of industry exposure, since we are the first batch, we have a few, which will increase in the coming future.
Other: The events held were good, where we can share our ideas in the case of Zotech Fiesta, where many activities are held like gaming, science-fare, and our civil program, where we share the recent trends to the visitors through our model. There are also events like Virthli, which lasts for one week, MZU sport, hostel sports, etc. The new Wi-Fi system is efficient. The campus surroundings are fresh as jungle surround us, but there is a problem regarding transportation, where the roads are not properly maintained. This has been a heat issue for the departments like physical science, and school of engineering and technology.

It's quite good, but not at its best!
Placements: So far placement is not so good, only few got placed. Those who were placed start from the lowest salary at 3 Lacs to the highest salary at 10 Lacs per annum. No companies came to our institution, but some PSU's placement took place. Most of the students got internship programme which is termed as industrial training. As a scholarship we got? 24,000. There is a placement cell, however most students does't utilise it.
Infrastructure: Facilities provided inside the campus by our institution is so far so good. Our labs and classrooms are equipped with the most possible advance technologies. Canteen foods are okay, from time to time we are satisfied with every orders we made. Hostel is also good enough.
Faculty: We got faculty members which are brought up from the most reputed institutions across india. They are highly qualified and helpful. Sharing their knowledge to students is their main objectives and their teaching is quite good, it is intuitive. Student to teacher ratios would be approximately 1:6 ratio. Yes we do get an industry exposure based on students interest. Course curriculum is quite good, but it is little outdated and need some improvement to achieve current technology and academical advancement.
Other: Activities inside our institution is sufficient for students who need to built up or improves their personalities. Activities which comprises seminar, workshop, college events, etc. Were organised to achieve its best possible goals.

Just satisfied but not up to the mark if you are seeking for a competitive world.
Placements: We would coordinate with NIT Mizoram for the placement cell. Two students from my senior batch were placed at Wipro. From my batch one student was placed at Wipro for a package of 3.3 Lacs for the role of Software Developer. Apart from Wipro, no other MNCs has visited the place. Apart from MNCs, Indian Army and Indian Navy had shown up as well for the recruitment at our place. In Mizoram University, as the department was newly placed, not much regarding placement was to be seen. Regarding internship, one of the senior applied at IIT Bombay and got it. Don't have idea how much he would have got as stipend. Recently a placement cell has been formed but lack to see active participation from Faculty on this although students try hard for it due to the fact that the money is not being provided to the faculty for such placement activities.
Infrastructure: As newly placed, there are labs, classrooms, library, medical facilities, sports and games available for students. But not that good labs as compared to those typical Engineering colleges would have and classrooms as well. Food of the canteen is satisfying but cost is high. Hostel rooms are good but the materials used are of low quality. I was just satisfied with the infrastructure. Just satisfied. Not more than that.
Faculty: Faculty members are good enough, qualified and knowledgeable. They have good knowledge but due to lack of industrial exposure, we were't able to get the required working knowledge that a company would expect from us. Final year project would mean focusing only on M.Tech kind of projects but not relating to industrial type.
Other: Events, Fest, Campus Crowd, Connectivity, Campus Surroundings, Scholarship, Extracurricular Activities are satisfying things that our University are fulfilling.

Dissatisfied with the quality of infrastructure we get. The placement program is the worst.
Placements: The placements in Mizoram University are bad. The different companies visit if NIT Mizoram chooses to merge. During my 3½ years, only 2-3 students got placed in the different companies. The placement cell heads don't work good, and it is because of them the placements are poor at Mizoram University.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the campus is bad. The Wi-Fi connections are available, but there is no internet access. The labs are equipped with the latest technology. The classrooms are good. The quality of food available in the canteen is not up to the mark and worthy. The hostels on the campus are good. There is the issue with the Wi-Fi in the hostel. The roads are among the most dangerous way in Mizoram.
Faculty: The faculty members are the best, helpful, and highly qualified, but they cannot make the students understand. The syllabus of our course is outdated. There is no industry exposure. The faculty don't interact with the students. As they were strict, the students find the difficulty in interacting with them.
