The campus surroundings are lush green and beautiful.
Placements: I'm a 1st-year student now, and I don't know much about placements. Overall, the placement rate is 85%, and our college provides one of the best placements in Gujarat. The highest package is offered in CS.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is very old because it was a King's palace. The college was established before India got Independence, and in 1949, it was handed over to the Indian government of Gujarat. You will love the surroundings as it is lush green and beautiful.
Faculty: Every faculty is a PhD holder and has experience with a minimum of 10 years. There are 39 different departments, and every department has good faculty. The campus atmosphere is good, and you will love it when you visit here.
Other: I chose the core branch because I want to get into aerospace. The top fests of Gujarat are held on MSU campus. Vadodara is one of the best places to live. Scholarships are available.

Overall it is a good college in all aspects.
Placements: I'm currently in the 2nd-year, so I have no idea about placements. But the placements are very good here in almost every stream. In our stream, companies like Reliance (rare) Essar, Infosys, etc., recruit students. The minimum criteria to sit in placement is 60%.
Infrastructure: The hostel is very good and all the necessities are available. Wi-Fi and food facilities are amazing and there is a single room or sharing room by 2 students in one room which is a good thing. Sports are also very good with a huge big ground.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are very disciplined and qualified. Their teaching is very good although it is online, but it suits us. The course curriculum is studied by giving importance to future jobs necessities. Exams are held semester-wise and are online. The difficulty is medium and the pass percentage is 70%.
Other: I chose metallurgy as there is less competition and the field is growing, but it is also necessary to develop other skills so that you are not only dependent on that particular field. The course is according to IIT, so no changes are required. MSU has a lot of activities and events, currently, it is online.

It has amazing teachers, average placements in 2018, beautiful infrastructure and good facilities.
Placements: About 65% of the students got placed this year. Topmost recruiting companies for our course are Reliance, SR, L&T, etc. They offered junior engineer posts and many more. The salary package offered ranges from 3.5 LPA to 7 LPA. About 10% of the students got internships in Reliance through campus placements. Internships are also offered in other companies also from our college.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is most beautiful. It was established by king Sayajirao Gayakwad, and this college is also called Kala Bhavan. Wi-Fi facility is available on this huge campus throughout the day. Oldest and most efficient labs are available. Classrooms are digitalised, and there is one huge library on our campus, which is more useful to students to get different types of study materials. The hostel facility is good, and the mess hall is average.
Faculty: Teachers here are very helpful and most talented in their particular course. They teach us very systematically that we understand things easily. Qualifications of our teachers are also of a high level, and their behaviour is really very good with the students. The course curriculum is also relevant to make students ready for the industry.
Other: I have chosen this course because I am interested in this field. Events organised by our college are also good like technical event named footprints, social events like Paramarsh, Prerna and sports events like Junoon.

In the present scenario, the placements for metallurgical and materials engineering are very poor.
Placements: Placements in MSU are very high every year, compared to other government colleges. All the placement coordinators work well to provide more placements. In metallurgical and materials engineering, the placements are very poor. But for some departments, the placements are increasing year by year.
Infrastructure: Facilities like Wi-Fi, high-quality labs, library, etc., are available in the college. Many classrooms have digital facilities. Digital labs are available. There are new computer labs. The training and placement rooms, classrooms, all are in very good condition. The canteen is good. Start-up camps and national events are organised on the campus.
Faculty: The college offers courses like metallurgical and materials engineering, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, textile engineering, computer engineering, electrical engineering etc. There are highly qualified teachers for all the courses.
Other: Our college conducts a total of four events. Among them, Paramarsh and Footprint are the national level events, and Junoon is the sports event.

The best college for engineering in Baroda.
Placements: An aggregate of minimum 60% is required to be eligible for attending placement interviews. As far as the metallurgical department is considered, the maximum package offered was of 14 lacs per annum, but not every company offers such high package. Training and placement coordinators have a major role to play for placements. If they function well, good companies will definitely come to offer jobs. I can say that the rate of placements is good here.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is really impressive and is spread around a quite large area. Because the college was built in the late 19th century, the architecture is old which adds to its regal appearance. Every building in college has a maximum of 2 floors, and every department has a seminar hall.
Faculty: The permanent teachers have a lot of knowledge but aren't really very articulate. But they are ready to help always. As for the temporary teachers, most of them teach well. Many times teachers don't turn up regularly while some teachers teach wonderfully. So one can't really judge their behaviour as a whole because it depends on the teacher. You have to be attentive to gain knowledge. The curriculum isn't an updated one which is a major flaw I found.
Other: The student union, ABVP has a strong foothold in college governance. There are 4 college fests which are Footprints (tech fest), Paramarsh (non-tech fest), Prerna which is a fest for the differently abled and a sports and cultural fest. Attendance isn't compulsory for lectures.
