My experience at Pandit Deendayal Energy University.

Placements: Pandit Deendayal Energy University offers a very good opportunity. Chemical engineering is good and has vast future. The highest package is around 12 LPA and the average is 7 LPA. The lowest package is around 6 LPA. Recruiting companies are Reliance, ONGC, and Tata.

Infrastructure: Food of mess is not so good. Hostel has AC and rooms are fine. Mess food is not good. Sports facilities are so good. There are many clubs. So if someone is appearing for higher sports PDEU gives a very good opportunity.

Faculty: Teachers are very well-qualified and helpful. Maximum teachers have knowledge about the course they are teaching. They are mostly Ph.D. and M.Tech qualified. They are serving PDEU for something ranging from 5 years to 12 years.

Other: I chose chemical engineering because there is vast growth in chemical engineering these days. PDEU offers a very good intellectual and helpful environment for new engineering students.

Placements are low but there are many events and workshops to develop skills.

Placements: Average placements in chemical engineering are around 4 LPA to 5 LPA. In this college, I think 30 to 40% of students get average placements. The highest package is around 7 LPA to 8 LPA. The minimum package is around 3 LPA to 4 LPA in chemical engineering.

Infrastructure: The hostel infrastructure is absolutely nice. We should not get Wi-Fi only get ethernet for laptops. But cafeteria is large and clean and also gets good food. Some special items get on events like Independence and Republic Day. Also, there is a big sports complex.

Faculty: Faculty members and curriculum are nice in the first year. Honestly, the exam system is well. Some of the faculty members are best but some faculty members read through the PPTs and go out. Our curriculum is absolutely nice. To be honest, semester exams are easy for those who study regularly.

Other: For those who choose to enjoy college life, it is a very good college.

Faculty satisfaction, Great social environment and mediocre placements.

Placements: The placement offered at PDEU are mainly concentrate in the energy sector, it includes companies like Reliance industries, Tata group, ONGC, Adani power etc. The placements are average at best the average CTC for 2023 was 7.5LPA for the entire university whereas the branch specific average for chemical was 6.5LPA which is mediocre at best.

Infrastructure: The hostel infrastructure is far better than other government or private institutions. The hostels have Air conditioning and personal washrooms. The drawback is that these hostels are not available for Ahmedabad students. The classrooms and libraries are also air conditioned which provides a great environment for learning.

Faculty: The faculty of PDEU lacks teaching passion and charisma as a whole. Even though there are good teachers in the university they are assigned to higher semester students which degrades the learning experience of new students. The exams conducted are relatively easy but they are still relevant.

I recommend students to take admission in this college.

Placements: CD cell handled the placements of our department. Around 90% of students get placed in reputed companies such as TCS, Wipro, Tata Motors, Halliburton, Amazon, ONGC, Indian oil, etc. The roles offered were junior executive and junior engineer.

Infrastructure: Hostel provided hot water for bathing and cool water for drinking. It served very good food every day. Medical facilities and a doctor were available. It had two big grounds for cricket and football.

Faculty: Teachers in our college were good, well-qualified, knowledgeable, experienced, friendly, and easily approachable. Semester exams were difficult to crack. The pass percentage was 40%.

Other: I chose chemical engineering because of my Nain trade which was very famous. I received a scholarship of Rs.50,000. Fests were organised once in two weeks

In this college, the interaction between students and teachers, seniors and juniors are not good.

Placements: The top recruiting companies are Reliance and Tata Chemicals. Some students prefer to go for higher studies, some go with the business, and some sit for placements. Out of them, 70% of students are placed. The highest salary package offered is 16 LPA. Professors in the chemical engineering branch teach perfectly.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is the best among all the colleges in Gujarat. Private washrooms are available, and air-conditioner in the hostel is also provided. The food is not tasty but the service is fine. The canteen is perfect and sports and games also good. Wi-Fi is available in this college. The library is fine but sometimes books are misplaced.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is good, but in every semester students need to learn at least one subject from youtube. Every semester students will get one subject teacher not perfect at teaching. Semester exams are easy to pass.

Other: The connection between teachers and senior with students needs to get stronger. Teachers should communicate on a personal level also. Fests are held, and the clubs are interesting in this college.
