NIT Durgapur's faculty and infrastructure .
Placements: I am from the Computer Science and Engineering branch. Internships are valuable, with strong industry connections offering opportunity in top companies In CSE more than 89% students were placed. Top companies like Microsoft and Amazon were the main recruiters.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi and labs are available. Hostel facilities are also good. Mess is also nice with tasty foods. Sports facilities like basketball court, cricket court etc are present. Medical unit is also there. The mess is good providing different options. The food is usually healthy.
Faculty: Teachers are good, helping and always clarify our doubts. It is little bit difficult to pass the semester. Pass percentage is 35%. Many of the students are seen practicing a great deal of training, solve coding contests, undertaking interviews to get high- responsibility and high paying jobs in the software industry.
Other: Fests are good. Scholarships are also offered. NIT Durgapur offers a vibrant campus life, blending academic excellence with extracurricular activities. The campus has a strong placement record, making it a hub for Engineering students aspiring for success.

I am satisfied with college.
Placements: Approximately 74% of students were placed in the 2024 placement season, with the highest salary package offered was 51 LPA, where seven students were placed in Microsoft. This year, seven students received PPOs from Apple, which is a first for our college. The average salary package for CSE was 21.4 LPA, while the average salary package for B.Tech was 7.35 LPA. Approximately 4% of students got less than 5 LPA, 46% got 5 LPA-10 LPA, and 26% got more than 15 LPA. Top recruiting companies included Microsoft, Apple, Adobe, Oracle, Samsung Research, and others. Many students secured internships, including seven who were placed in Apple, as the company visits only a few colleges for placements and internships.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available all over campus. Labs for CSE are air-conditioned and well-maintained, while ECE and Electrical labs are also decent. Classrooms in NAB are new and good, while classrooms in MAB are a bit old. Library contains more than 2.5 lakh books, which is great, but they are not accessible after 9 PM, which is not ideal. Medical facilities are top-notch. Whenever you are feeling unwell, we just have to call the hostel responsible person, and they will arrange for an ambulance to take to the medical room on campus. Sports facilities are good but not the best. Someone are not allowed to play cricket or football on hostel premises, which is not ideal, but we can play badminton, volleyball, and basketball. There is also a common room with a TV, which is used only during events.
Faculty: Faculty members are helpful and great. Most teachers have done their PhDs from IITs, so there is no question about level of knowledge they possess. However, sometimes their topics can be difficult to understand, which I think is common everywhere. Courses are relevant, but there is a system that no other college has. In the first year, all branch students are randomly merged and divided into 8 sections. I don't know why this is, but in my opinion, it is a good approach. Semester exams are hard, and teachers don't award marks easily. At any step, students can lose marks. Pass percentage is approximately 80% - 90%, as far as I know.

It will be good if we don't keep any expectations on campus.
Placements: Placements are good only if students are from a top branch like Computer Science and Engineering. Many top companies like Microsoft, Amazon, and even Apple offer a decent salary package, and students get placed. Many students from remaining departments face to get placed.
Infrastructure: Hostels are not clean and hygienic. Wi-Fi is available in both classrooms and hostel rooms, which is the only positive thing. Classrooms are clean and neat. Quality of food is not up to the mark, dal is tasteless.
Faculty: Professors must be highly qualified, but nobody listens to their class. Teaching quality is good. Attendance is highly required above 75% attendance is mandatory, otherwise, one grade will be deducted. which makes it difficult for students.

The college is very good .
Placements: An average of 90% of people are placed every year in our branch. The highest package offered was 51 lacs, and the lowest was 6 lacs. The average package was 9 lacs. Top recruiting companies are PwC and Deloitte. From our branch, only a few people got internships, maybe 10%. Most of the roles offered are SDE.
Infrastructure: The classrooms, library, and Wi-Fi are all good, but the facilities in our hostel are a little poor. Medical facilities can be rated a 6/10. Sports and games are good. Mess food is good for North Indians, and South Indians can have that food only on particular days. Canteen food is better compared to the mess.
Faculty: The teachers are extremely helpful and knowledgeable. The course curriculum is relevant to our placements. Semester exams are easy to write if a student is well-prepared. The pass mark is 35/100. The pass grade is P; it will be scored by a student in a subject if they get below 50.
Other: I chose this course as I was interested in the software field. I would like to improve my academic performance and also have a better, happy college life. Events, fests, connectivity, and extracurricular activities are good to enjoy, but we as students expect some more activities from the college.

A place where you can be filled with memories.
Placements: I am from the mathematics and computing branch. This branch is new in NIT Durgapur. It is also a part of computer science and engineering. Internships in INTDGP are valuable, with strong industry connections offering opportunities in top companies. In CSE, above 89% of students were placed. Top companies like Microsoft and Amazon visit our college to recruit maths and coding students.
Infrastructure: All the facilties provided are good. Wi-Fi and labs are available. Hostel facilities are good. The mess food is very nice and tasty. Sports are there like a basketball court, a cricket court, and other games. A medical unit is available. The mess in NITGDP has good culinary expertise, providing different options. Though standards are questionable. The food is healthy.
Faculty: Teachers are good. They are always helpful. They clarify our doubts. It is a little bit difficult to pass the semester. The pass percentage is 35%. Many students are seen practicing a great deal of training, solving coding contests, and undertaking interviews to get high-responsibility and high-paying jobs in the software industry.
Other: Fests are held well. Scholarships are available. Students who are applicable can apply. NIT Durgapur offers a vibrant campus life, blending academic excellence with extracurricular activities.
