The nature's beauty: NIT Silchar.
Placements: The placement statistics of NIT Silchar are very good. Almost 90% of the students are placed in the Electronics and Communication Engineering branch. The highest package for DCR is 60 LPA, the lowest package is 10 LPA, and the average package stands at 17 LPA. Almost 60% of the students got internships this year, and the top company was Nvidia.
Infrastructure: In NIT Silchar, the classrooms are good and have the capacity of 90 students per room. We have a large new gallery where it has many rooms, and each room can contain 150 students. In the hostel, we have double-seater rooms, and we are getting 24-hour LAN facility. The quality of mess food is not so good. We have a health center where medicine is available. We have grounds for every sport, like badminton, cricket, basketball, football, etc.
Faculty: Here in NIT Silchar, teachers are well-qualified. They are very friendly and always ready to help us. They are well-qualified and came from reputed institutes like IITs and NITs. The semester exams are medium to hard level. We have mid-semester exams, minor tests, and end-semester exams.
Other: The campus is good, and the reason I chose this college is that it is very close to my hometown. Here we have basically two fests known as Tecnoesis and Incandescence.

Outstanding beauty of NITS.
Placements: The percentage of the placed students is very good in our college; almost every student got placement. The percentage placement is around 90 to 95% from every branch. The highest package in 2024 is 60 Lacs per annum and the average package offered is 12 Lacs per annum. Job recruiting companies are L&T.
Infrastructure: The facilities that are available in our hostel is they provide a sub chair, B.Ed, fan, water, light, electricity, and cleanliness. We have Ethernet in our hostels and the connection is very poor. The food quality in the mess is very poor. We also have a sports faculty members offered by the Gymkhana union body.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are already helpful, qualified, and highly skilled. They have a good knowledge of every subject and their way of teaching is very unique. No, the course is not relevant for us. The semester exams are easy if we study and the pass percentage is very high; almost every student got passed except for 5 to 10 students.
Other: The best thing about this course is I wanted to pursue my engineering degree from India's finest engineering college, so I got in and it is an honor to pursue my B.Tech engineering degree in civil engineering. There are two major facts in our college: the first is our technical fest and the second is our cultural fest. Our technical fest is held in the month of November and the cultural fest is held in the month of February.

Review of NIT Silchar College.
Placements: In NIT Silchar, placement opportunities are decent. This year, the average placement offered in electrical engineering was around 12 LPA CTC, and the highest package offered was around 52 LPA. Companies like Amazon, Paytm, HCl, Byju's, Microsoft, etc. This college is good for the IT sector and decent for core branches in terms of placement.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is not so good in NIT Silchar. Some newly made buildings like New Gallery, Library, and the admin building are good, including some newly made hostels like Aryabhatta (for 1st years) and BH9. But most of the infrastructure is outdated as NIT Silchar is an old institute started from 1967.
Faculty: Faculty are not so good, especially in my branch electrical engineering. But some faculty members of other branches are good and friendly. Curriculum is good, it's not too hectic. In exam time, you may feel pressure due to a lot of exams like mid-sem, minor test, endsem, assignments, etc.

Overall the journey is superb.
Placements: Last year, around 90% of students were placed on my campus. The highest package was 66 LPA, and the average was 18 LPA. The top recruiting companies are Amazon, Adobe, Siemens, Myntra, HDFC, and some top MNCs, etc. The placement cell in my college also offers some PPOs for my branch students.
Infrastructure: In the classroom, there are two boards, and the classroom can accommodate 80 students. The hostels are average; in the 1st semester, they provide 2- or 3-sharing rooms. In each room, there are two lockers, one fan, one LED light, and one study table and chair per person. The room also has one small balcony.
Faculty: There are many qualified and knowledgeable teachers. The course curriculum is perfect. The examination system is simple and does not create much stress, but there is a 75% attendance criterion. Semester exams are moderate, and faculty correction is lenient. Overall, academics are good.

NIT Silchar - beyond the fairytale campus.
Placements: The placements in civil engineering are not up to the mark in recent years. You need to have an extraordinary CGPA or good coding skills in order to land any job of any profile. Placements in core sectors are very few; about 65-70% got placed, out of which most are coding jobs and have nothing to do with civil engineering. Sadly, this is the state of core jobs all over the country.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is outdated and old. The hostels are good but you would have several problems related to LAN and cleanliness. But sports facilities are great; to be honest, you have a cricket field, a football field, an indoor sports complex, a trekking club and other sports clubs that conduct parallel sports too, like chess and all. Medical facilities are available but only on paper; for the slightest convenience, you need to rush to Silchar Medical College. Mess food is okay; don't expect something extraordinary.
Faculty: The curriculum, as is the case in most of the engineering colleges all over India, is outdated. The professors will get after your life for 75% attendance criteria and failing to do so will result in you preparing medical certificates and running to the HOD for his sign. Teaching quality is pathetic and teachers aren't that helpful at all, with some exceptions. Lab teachers, however, are helpful, particularly the master's students.
Other: Events and fests are grand and the whole college joins the celebration. The Diwali festival, Chhatt Mahaparv and Holi are also celebrated with grandness and vibrancy. Campus life is just too good with the eye-catching natural beauty of the lush green campus.

The college is good with its friendly atmosphere and scenery.
Placements: Placements are based on the individual talent of the person. Placement cannot be decided by the branch of the person. Placements are good in the college. The overall placement of the year 2023 is 89.41%. The median package offered in NIT is 12.61 LPA.
Infrastructure: A sports complex, cricket ground, and football ground are present in the college. Hostels are provided based on the JEE Main rank and sometimes on the semester grade points, which are finally divided by the year you are studying at that time. The classrooms were good.
Faculty: Our faculty is nice, and they will teach lessons in English as per the students' choice. The difficulty level in the semester exams is based on the paper made by the faculty. The exams include mid-sem exams, minor tests, and end-sem exams, and others will be taken as attendance, class tests, or notes or assignments.
Other: Two fests will be held in an annual year in which one is a technical fest, and the other is the cultural fest. The surroundings in the college are greenery as we look around.
