NITS- Though not the best but not even that bad.

Placements: The placement is fine and is reliable to some extent, ignoring the recession of last year. The maximum package reaches 80 LPA, with 3.5 LPA being the lowest and the average is 8 LPA. For a branch like CSE, placement is almost 100%. More than 80% of students get placed overall at NIT Silchar. The placement of core branches is a bit low but the maximum reaches above 20 LPA. One of the best NITs in northeast with very beautiful campus.

Placements: In the electrical engineering department, more than 80% of students get placed. The highest package is 50+ LPA, and the average package is 12 LPA. Top recruiters are PSUs over Infosys and Microsoft. All students must do internships; it is in our curriculum. Most students preferred to do internships at PSU's.

Placements: placement percent of EE department in NIT Silchar is 80–85 percent. The highest package is 52 LPA, Average package is 12.5 LPA, and the lowest is about 6 LPA. The top recruiting companies are Amazon, Google, Oil India, NTPC, Samsung, etc. About 50–55 percent got internships in different companies like Amazon, Samsung, Infosys, Oil India, NTPC, and many other core companies.

NIT Silchar: the most underrated NIT.

Placements: In my course, about 92% of students were placed last year. The highest package was 45 lacs per annum. The lowest was 6 lacs, and the average was 11 lacs. The recruiting companies include ONGC Oil, India Limited, Mahindra and Mahindra Tata. About 60% of students got internships.

Brief review about NIT, Silchar .

Placements: In my course every year, 70–80 percent of students got placed. This year, the highest package was 55 LPA. And the company was Amazon Web Services. Doing an internship is compulsory for everyone in our college. But this year, 15-20 students out of 77 got paid internships.

NIT Silchar's overall review by a 2024 pass out.

Placements: In my batch, around 70% of students are placed. The highest salary is around 70 LPA and average package for my branch is around 11 LPA. The top recruiting companies are Atlassian, AWS, Goldman Sachs, Oracle, and PSUs like EIL, BEL C-DOT, CDAC, etc. The top roles offered in my course are of GET and SDE.

Placements: 85 per cent of students were placed in my course. The highest package offered in my course is 80 Lacs per annum. The average package offered in my course is 30-40 Lacs per annum. All about the pros and cons of NIT, Silchar.

Placements: I am in Electrical Engineering and in 2023, 87% students were placed from my department. Since I am from a circuital branch, the students can either opt for core jobs or IT jobs. The median package offered was 13.95 LPA. The highest package was of 80 LPA and the lowest was 3.2 LPA. The top companies that recruit from our college are Amazon, Microsoft, Atlassian, etc.

NIT Silchar life by a 2nd year undergrad.

Placements: Last year, more than 80 percent of students were placed, with CSE having more than 95 percent of placements. The average was 17.5 LPA for CSE undergrads. The highest was 84 LPA for CSE. This year, the highest and average will both increase significantly. The overall placement is very good when compared to other NIT.

Placements: The number of students placed in our course was nearly 90%. The highest is approximately 40 lacs, the lowest is 6 lacs, and the average is 15 lacs. Amazon, etc. Above 85% of students got internships from our course. Robotics engineer and data analyst are the top roles offered so far.

Overall, college is the best for students who want to achieve something in their lives.

Placements: More than 95% of students got placed on campus. Swiggy, Myntra, Atlassi, Amazon, Accenture, Oracle, Microsoft, Capgemini, and Wipro. Almost more than 95% of students got placed through PPO (pre-placement offer), as it helped them get through their dream companies of their choice.

My experience as a first year in NIT Silchar.

Placements: A good percentage of students got placed this year. Especially about 75 percent of students from the CSE branch were placed, and 60 percent of students from the EC branch. The percentage drops to 40 when we consider the civil and mechanical branches. The highest package from CSE is 40 LPA, and the lowest is between 3 to 5 LPA. The companies visiting NIT SILCHAR include Wipro, TCS, Microsoft, Amazon, and many others.

Placements: Campus placements are outstanding. In 2022, during the placement session, CSE had an average placement of 24 Lacs. Average because placements are good, but you have to study and do everything on your own.

Placements: The percentage of students placed in our course is more than 95%. The highest was 54 LPA, the average was around 15 LPA, and the lowest was about 5 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Amazon, Atlassian, MICROSOFT, etc. Getting an internship is hard. If you are consistent and work hard in your studies, then you will definitely get an internship. Most apply for teaching roles such as software engineers, and some apply for core companies.
