The club culture of this college is also a thing that I like.
Placements: I got placed in a reputed company through my college placement. The support and guidance throughout the month were excellent. They always show us the path to start our career, and they have collaborated with many good companies. The placement provides quality opportunities for students by offering interviews in reputed companies. I got placed in Zeitgeist company as an HR executive, which is a well-reputed company. Overall, the placement experience was good.
Infrastructure: The overall experience is good. I came to know more about technology. I mixed with fantastic students, and the clubbing culture, especially the competition to join tech clubs, is very high, which shows the standard of these tech clubs. The facilities in the college classrooms are of a very high standard. Sports are widely practiced here, with some international-level badminton courts too.
Faculty: In each department, they have a minimum of 12 to 15 staff members, and they have a great relationship with students. My favorite faculty is in the Bachelor of Commerce because they have very cool staff. I like all the faculty members. Each semester, we have four exams: two CIA tests, one Model test, and the final semester exam. If we study, the exams are easy, and almost all students pass.

B.Tech. in Instrumentation and Control Engineering - Batch of 2027
4.8
5Placements4Infrastructure5Faculty5Crowd & Campus Life5Value for Money
Only good education; infrastructure and facilities are bad.
Placements: We have a placement percentage of 98%, and the highest and lowest packages offered in our course are 80 Lacs and 4 Lacs. The average package is somewhere around 18 Lacs. Recruiting companies like Google and Microsoft come for placements. Currently, 30 percent of the students have gotten an internship.
Infrastructure: The hostels provide Wi-Fi and 24/7 electricity and water. Although the Wi-Fi could be better, it totally depends on which room you are in. The mess food is decent, and the sports facilities are good. The only problem is most of the teams don't have a proper coach. The classrooms are big and spacious.
Faculty: The faculty are well-educated and qualified. The professors can be more understanding. The curriculum plan is very good and efficient. The semester exams are of average difficulty, with a pass percentage of 35%, and there’s also a 75% attendance requirement for all classes.

The college is good enough to provide us with opportunities, but it lacks in extracurricular activit
Placements: I don't have any figures, but the percentage of placed students will be around 90%. The highest salary was 53 lakhs, and the average salary was 27 lakhs. I don't have any idea about the lowest salary; it may be around 12-15 lakhs. All big companies visit the campus, like Google, Microsoft, Adobe, D.E. Shaw, etc. The internship percentage will be around 30%-50%, but I don’t have specific figures.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good enough, with very fast Wi-Fi and good labs, but there is no AC in any classroom or some labs. Other facilities are decent, but the hostel is not so good in terms of infrastructure, like the quality of washrooms. There is also no washing machine in the hostel.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful if you study well and pay attention in class. They are well qualified and knowledgeable, but the quality of teaching is not so good. This is partly due to the students, as many don’t take an interest in the subjects, which causes teachers to lose interest in teaching as well.
Other: In the computer science course, the curriculum is not very industry-oriented. Additionally, the college doesn't provide enough funds for sports materials.

B.Tech. in Civil Engineering - Batch of 2025

4Placements4Infrastructure4Faculty4Crowd & Campus Life4Value for Money
Overall it is good given the exposure to academics, admin roles, and extracurricular activities.
Placements: Statistics of internships for civil engineering are yet to be released. Oracle is the highest recruiter so far in the software domain, while SLB is the highest in the core sector. Many students opt for higher studies through GATE, IES, or foreign universities in core fields. On average, placement opportunities in core sectors are okay.
Infrastructure: Regarding Wi-Fi, there is a new installation happening in three zones: hostels, admin, and academics. Currently, it's being installed in hostel zones and is likely to be completed by the end of December. Labs are well-equipped with instruments and computational subscriptions for students, and overall, they are good. Classrooms provide a solid foundation, but students are expected to put in additional effort. Grading is not too tough, and the environment is student-friendly. The library has many books available, allowing students to borrow up to 5 books per month. Mess options are flexible, and food quality is frequently checked and revised based on student feedback. Medical facilities include a good on-campus hospital, with other hospitals nearby for emergencies. Sports and games facilities are well-maintained, with coaches and a well-equipped sports complex.
Faculty: Teachers are knowledgeable, and the teaching quality is good. The current curriculum is okay but may become outdated in the fast-moving world. Industry readiness would be improved with more training. Semester exams are not difficult, and very few students fail.
Other: I chose civil engineering because I can write GATE and opt for PSUs, given the knowledge provided by faculty members. I can also try for IES, and I am happy that I can work more in the civil/people-related field. I wish there was more exposure to industry. There are many clubs, sports, fests, and workshops happening on campus. Personally, I am part of the dance team, and it's great to be part of such teams, as the college is supportive of extracurricular activities.

M.Tech. in Material Science and Engineering - Batch of 2019
4.2
5Placements3Infrastructure4Faculty5Crowd & Campus Life4Value for Money
Education is good. Professors are highly qualified.
Placements: Last semester, students were eligible for college placements at different companies, but it's up to the individual's ability to secure jobs in the best companies. The highest package for a B.Tech in Computer Engineering is between 34 Lakhs and 12 Lakhs per annum. Almost all students are placed in this college, but in recent years, the placement ratio has been low due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Infrastructure: Generally, the rooms are 25 x 25 feet square, with 3-sharing accommodations for first-year students. After the first year, students may move to another hostel with 2 or 3-sharing, depending on room size. There are 22 boys' hostels and 6 girls' hostels. The hostel facilities include a wardrobe, one bed per resident, 2 fans, and 2 tube lights per room. Washing machines, restrooms per floor, and drinking water facilities are also available. The meal quality in the first-year mess is not very good, but it improves in the second year. The registration process for the hostel is done on the college MS portal. (For more information, one can visit their website).
Faculty: I chose this course because I was interested in computer language during school, which led me to choose this course. The student-to-faculty ratio is low, and the faculty members are well-educated. All professors have qualified for all government qualification exams. The time duration of the exam is 3 hours per subject.

The placements are really good, along with the facilities.
Placements: 97+ percent of students got placed in Chemical Engineering from NIT Tiruchirappalli. The highest package is above 60 LPA, and the lowest is around 7-8 LPA. Top recruiting companies for B.Tech include Google, Microsoft, Oracle, and many more.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure available for all courses and departments, like Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, and library, are good. The hostel facilities are decent, neither very good nor very bad, and the quality of food available in the mess and canteen is okay. Medical facilities are also good.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful, and their knowledge is very good due to their years of experience. The teaching quality of the professors is solid. There are two cycle tests and one end-semester exam per semester, with the pass percentage varying with the average.
