As per NIT Trichy cutoff 2023, the GATE Round 6 closing rank was 637 for General category candidates in All India quota for Computer Science & Engineering. However, the decision regarding granting such scholarships to the students is made solely by the administration. NIT Tiruchirappalli provides scholarships like Adi-Dravidar Scholarship -Tamil, Adi-Dravidar Scholarship English SC/ST Scholarship, BC Scholarship, and others.

At the postgraduate level, NIT Trichy offers M.A. English courses to students. The candidate must have a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 60% aggregate and the accepted entrance exam is CUET-PG. Admissions to NIT (National Institute of Technology), Trichy is Entrance Based for almost all of the courses. The college accepts different exam scores for different levels of courses.
