NLU Kolkata cutoff 2024 for BA LLB (Hons.), BSc LLB (Hons) and LLM admission is based on the CLAT score, followed by the CLAT Counselling. The closing rank in 2024 for the BA LLB (Hons) course stood at 262 in Round 1 and 279 in the last round of CLAT cutoff for the general AI category candidates. For the LLM programme, the Round 1 and the Last Round closing ranks were 452 and 620.

The WB National University of Juridical Sciences does not offer direct admission. Candidates need to qualify the accepted entrance exams for admission. The university considers CLAT score for admission to BA LLB (Hons), BSc LLB (Hons) and LLM courses. NLU Kolkata conducts an entrance test for admission to LLD, MSc and PhD courses. Selected candidates need to participate in the counselling round for admission.

The application fee for CLAT exam was different as per the category of a candidate. For General/OBC/PWD/PIO/OCI/NRI, the application fee was INR 4,000 and for SC/ST/BPL category, the application fee was INR 3,500. Extra charges of INR 500 were applicable if candidates wanted to obtain previous years' CLAT question papers from the exam authority. Apart from CLAT application fee and cost of question paper bundle, candidates had to pay any other charges.

CLAT Round 3 Seat Allotment has been released. For WBNUJS Kolkata B.A. LL.B. course the ranks have not been released for the General category candidates. However, there are ranks for few other categories. Candidates seeking admission to WBNUJS Kolkata must have a valid score in CLAT in order to be eligible for the counselling. The CLAT Consortium will conduct at least five rounds of seat allotment for CLAT 2025. Before each round, the consortium will share the seat allotment list for the remaining seats. In case there are still seats vacant after the fifth round, the counselling mop-up round will be held at institute level. In CLAT 2024 as well, there were total of five CLAT seat allotment rounds until all seats at the participating NLUs were secured by candidates.
