NEHU is not great but not so bad either.

Placements: Placement is very bad. Somehow they managed to get one or two companies to the university. They send the students to other colleges for campus drives. In our time I. e,2018 there were only 2 companies came for campusing, one of them was a startup. I. e, Placement of NEHU in technical Dept is horrible.

It is a great campus to learn about subjects and life as well.

Placements: Placement in the department is not quite good. I was from the second batch of the department. But as the college is growing, the placement opportunities are also increasing. Even though the students are not getting placed from college, almost 80% of the students are placed through off-campus and working as clinical engineers. Some are also involved in research projects around the country. Students of the department also go for placements in other sectors.

It has the appropriate faculty, the best infrastructure and good placements.

Placements: Our seniors are in the Hyperloop project team. Some well-known technical companies such as TCS, CTS, Tech Mahindra, and many more visit our campus for placements. The lowest salary package offered was around 3 LPA. The average salary package offered was 5 LPA. A large number of students get internships starting from industrial to institutional internships that too in prestigious IITs. One can also go for an institutional internship on the campus. There is a placement cell, and the placement head...

Satisfied with the college. Overall, the quality of the college is average.

Placements: According to my knowledge, placements of the college are average. Companies that visited our campus in the past were Wipro, Dell, HDFC Bank, Airtel, Indian Army, Zaloni, etc. The percentage of students getting placed every year is about 30%-35%. Internship opportunities are good. The average salary package offered by the companies is about 4 LPA. Our university organises summer internship programs in collaboration with other colleges and institutions. Mostly IT companies visit the campus. Studen...

It's a good college, students can excel here if they focus on their goals.

Placements: Placements of the college are average. The deserving students always make it through. So, if you need a job, you have to earn it. Companies like Dell, TCS, Wipro, Zaloni, Indian Airforce and Indian Army have recruited our students.

It provides a good campus life but offers low placements.

Placements: Only about 30% of the students are getting placed every year in the college. The highest salary package offered is about 4 LPA. The placements are good and are mainly based on information technology and management streams. Companies like Wipro, HDFC, Airtel, TCS, and Dell etc., visit our university for placements. There is a placement cell over here which ties up with other universities for placements.

NEHU, Shillong in a nutshell.

Placements: Placements in the college are not that good as the efficiency of students is not well. The training and placement cell in college is quite good. Companies like Amazon, Wipro, Zolacode, TCS, and Regalix, etc., visited NEHU for placements. According to the records of the placement cell, an average of 40-55% of students got placed. But the salary package offered was very poor, as only 3.50 LPA to 4.50 LPA was the average salary package offered to students. Being a very new student of this universit...

NEHU - A view from the inside.

Placements: Minimalistic placements. Not a lot of companies came over. Even the ones that did weren't as good. Approximately 20 students from a batch of 240 students got placed. Internships aren't compulsory so there are no companies that come over for them. Students aren't interested in internships either.

The best college in Shillong or rather in the Northeast.

Placements: The placements during my batch were not really satisfying as there were only fewer companies that came to our campus like Infosys and TCS. Very few students attended the placements as most of them either wanted to pursue higher studies or were looking for a job in the city itself and did not want to go outside. It was however the same for the seniors as well.

Nice environment to study with good facilities and opportunities.

Placements: Placement was an issue a few years back, but now after the AICTE approval, placements have increased and are going to get better for the years to come. The average salary offered is around 3.5 lacs per annum. College teachers guide the students to do internship based on their personal interests. A placement cell is established, and it helps the students in all possible ways.

Placements: There were no placement programmes conducted by the Department both for the seniors and our batch. Although we were exposed to some kind of orientation programme conducted by AIESEC, Shillong in collaboration with the Career and Counselling Cell of the University. St.Edmund's college is indeed the best in shillong and may also be the best in the entire Northeast.

Placements: There isn't much placement made before. It's said that most of the teachers and faculty members guides you for further studies outside the country only and not giving placements. Being a college for general lines and some professional courses it does't give much placements.

It is a beautiful place where one can have an excellent time for studying.

Placements: The placements are quite nice. Quite a number of companies grab the creamy layer students of the institute. I have heard about Amazon and Infosys taking part in the placement operations. Also, at times, Indian Army also made changes with the students of this institute.

My college was dull in all the aspects.

Placements: I did my B.Tech in ECE(this option is not available here above). No on-campus placement and internship on the campus. Only some students got placement in pool campus drive at the other colleges. The jobs were IT-related like TCS, IBM, Tech Mahindra. There is a placement cell, but not much effective. The placement is pathetic.

Placements: It is very good to be in such a college with most of the experts and experienced faculty members. Regarding our placements, many of my friends have got it. Some of the students have done the internship. The monthly stipend offered is around Rs. 9,000. I want to go for the higher studies, so I didn't apply for the job.
