PAU Entrance Exam Pattern
There are three different exams – PAU CET (Common Entrance Test), PAU MET (Masters Entrance Test) & Agriculture Admission Test (AAT).
The PAU Common Entrance Test will be conducted for the following courses:

Important Points to Remember
- Only those candidates who are residents of Punjab or Union Territory of Chandigarh are eligible for seeking admission to all Undergraduate, Masters’ and Diploma programmes except for MBA Programme for which 85% seats are filled from candidates with state domicile and 15% from other states.
- Candidates should reach the venue mentioned in the Admit Card at 9.00 A.M. sharp on the day of the Entrance Test. Candidates will not be allowed to enter the Examination Centre without Admit Card and original identity proof.
- Date of entrance test/counselling/document verification/interview will not be ordinarily changed even if the University is closed on that day on any account. If any change, it will be notified on PAU website.
- If the number of admitted candidates is less than 30% of the admission capacity in any Self-supporting programme, that programme will be suspended and the application fee will be refunded to the candidates.
- No MET examination will be held if the number of applications are less than or equal to three in any of the Master’s programme. If the students are admitted without MET then the PAU Fellowship in case of such programmes will be awarded from the 2nd semester of the academic year on the basis of OCPA of the students.
