For the academic year 2023-24, the process started in the month of July and ended in the month of August. Panjab University offers two-year MBA programmes across four specialisations via the University Business School and across seven specialisations via the University Institute of Applied Management Sciences. Other than these,  Dr. S. Bhatnagar University Institute of Chemical Engineering and Technology offers an Integrated BE (Chemical) - MBA to the students. Admission to all MBA courses is entrance-based at all these institutes. While for Integrated MBA, students need a valid score in JEE Main exam, admission to UBS and UIAMS is subject to a valid score in CAT and PU MET exams, respectively.

Panjab University NEET Cutoff 2024 was released for the last round, on the basis of students' performance in the NEET UG exam. As per the cutoff list, the last-round closing rank for the General All India category candidates was closed at 778 for MBBS. Yes, there are 18 hostels at PU CHD. Among them, eight are for boys and ten for girls. There is one Working Women Hostel that is equipped with all modern facilities. There is also an International Hostel to accommodate international students/faculty. Hostel seats are limited and are provided purely on a merit basis to campus students. The number of seats available is displayed on the university website well before the start of admission.

A national level entrance test for postgraduate programs in India is called the Common University Entrance Test (CUET PG). The National Testing Agency (NTA) is in charge of conducting it. The test consists of three portions and is based on multiple-choice questions:
