Punjabi University Patiala Reviews on Placements, Faculty & Facilities ,

Placements: There is around 60-70 percent campus placements and the companies which arrived are Infosys, HP, Newgen, Tech Mahindra & many more. The average package is around 3-3.5 lakhs per annum. Most of the students are placed in Infosys. There are many activities which help with the placements. Students who have 60 percent above can sit for the placements.

Placements: Placements were poor. About 30% of students were placed. The highest package was 4 lacs and the average package was 2 lacs. Companies which visited campus were Infosys, TCS, Wipro, Emerson, Tech Mahindra, etc. The kind of roles offered to students were software trainee. Internships offered mostly by Infosys. The average stipend offered was 12000.

Placements: Placements were good for computer science students but for electronics, there were very few placements. There were no electronics core companies to recruit the students. Many students were placed in IT companies. The roles offered to them was testing, programming, etc. The average package offered was 3.75 lacs.

Placements: Placements are good. Most of the computer and electronics students get placed every year but for civil and mechanical, there are not enough placements. Infosys, mncsTech Mahindra, and smMNCs visit our University. The salary offered varies from company to company like 5 lacs per annum, more or less. Navy recruitment is also there in our University. There were a lot of our seniors who were placed through the placement programs.

Placements: Placement for IT streams is above average. 70-80% of the students are placed. Placements for civil and mechanical in core companies are poor, though these streams get an equal chance of being placed in IT companies. Companies like Infosys, Mahindra, Talwars, Swaraj are regular recruiters. Very few startups visit campus for placements. The average salary is 3 lakhs. Just 1 or 2 companies visit the campus for internships.

Placements: Placement is below average there. The companies that mainly visited there are Infosys, Emerson and others local companies of Mohali. The highest package offered in the campus placement during my time is 5 LPA. The role offered to the students is mainly software engineer. As Infosys is a mass recruiter, it mostly takes 50% students of CSE branch and among the rest, only 10% get placement. Others mainly prepare for GATE and other exams.

Placements: Placements are excellent for computer engineering students. 99% of the students without a backlog get recruited from the campus drives. But the scenario is not so good for other trades. For mechanical engineering students, core placement companies are very less. Those placed from ME trade are placed in IT or IP firms.

Placements: The placement rate of the university is very good. Many well-known companies like Infosys, Tech Mahindra etc came for placements. Even I got placed in Infosys in my 3rd semester of MTech. Almost 60% students who sit for placements are placed in good companies.

Placements: Placements of our seniors are good. 55% students are placed. The highest package was Rs. 3.2 lakh, lowest was Rs. 2.4 lakh and average is Rs. 2.4 lakh. Companies that visited in our college are Bhagwati Steel, Ashok Leyland, Cheema Boiler etc. Roles offered to the students are supervisor, junior engineer, quality engineer, etc. 40% students have got internship from the college. The highest stipend was Rs. 7000, lowest was Rs. 4000 and average is Rs. 5000.

Placements: 75 percent of the students were placed. Infosys is the major recruiter offering a package of 4 LPA for system analyst profile. Swaraj, JSW steel, Asahi glass, Samudra Institute of Maritime Studies were a few companies to name which offered an average package of 3.8 - 4.5 LPA.

Placements: There is good placement in our college. There are 32 students are placed out of 90 students from the mechanical branch in my batch. The highest package is of 3.2 lakhs and the lowest is 2.4 lakhs. The roles offered for students are of supervisor, junior engineer, quality engineer etc. Above 65% students got the internship from college. The highest stipend is 10 thousand, the lowest is 4 thousand and average is 6 thousand. Overall, good placements.

Placements: Best for placements. If you are good in engineering you will get great opportunities. Many companies came recently, including Tech Mahindra, Infosys and many more companies. You will also be notified after completion of your degree. This is such an amazing thing. Also, you have several seminars regarding placements and almost 70% of students were selected this year. The internships are good and the average stipend is 10k per month.

Placements: Punjabi University provides good placements to the students for the BTech department. Infosys is the main recruiter which nearly recruits more than 300 every year. Almost 15-22 companies visit the campus for placement. Moreover, with the "A" degree certificate, you can apply for overseas also.

Infrastructure: The college is located in a lush green area and the classrooms are equipped with proper benches and projectors. The lab facilities needed improvement at that time. Placements: The placements are decent, especially in the CSE and Mechanical branch. Core companies of ECE didn't visit the campus. When we passed out of the University, the college was doing well. The placements were decent (Infosys being the mass recruiter), the hostels were also good (seven story building with lifts and cold drinking water facilities) and the food was great. The teachers here are very supportive, only if you are interested in studying. The college’s structure is impressive but facilities provided are fewer, for example, there is no AC in the classrooms and no Wi-Fi in campus. Overall, the university's environment is good. Cultural events and college fest are held every year. Coming to the most important point i.e. placements.
