SASTRA (Shanmugha Arts, Science, Technology and Research Academy) has a very good teacher student interaction and is an ideal place to learn. It has a very vibrant campus and intakes students via JEE score as well as on the basis of +2 board marks. The marking system consists of 50 internal and 50 in end semester exams. Continuous evaluation of student takes place as there are internal exams every month. Apart from academics it also provides a very good platform for extra cultural activities lik...

The semester abroad program at the university abroad is a value addition. Overall a campus placement is assured.

Unlike peers SRM and VIT, SASTRA has no entrance test of its own, and there are almost three long months to apply at SASTRA, well after many universities and colleges have wound up their admissions. SASTRA also claims that it doesn’t believe in university rankings by various magazines, but admits that it participates in one such ranking. SASTRA also has an uncommon 70:30 dual stream of admissions for its flagship BTech program, the need for which is not clear. Growth has been so far so good at ...

I had a best experience of SASTRA and still cherish that I am a SASTRAITE. The exposure and timeliness are the key things you will make up for yourselves. TCS is the core recruiter and almost sweeps of all the students. College is a bit strict which is indeed needed for an Engineering college to gain respect among parents. Surely, Best place to study, cheer-up and get graduated.

With awesome infrastructure and challenging course structure, you will be prepared to face corporate with up to date knowledge. The faculty members have sound corporate experience. And the credit system that Sastra follows is fantastic. There are options for semester abroad programme and exchange program. And also open elective system makes students to finish their 8th semester papers well in advance and utilize the whole 8th semester for project work.
