B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering - Batch of 2022

Our college provided good placements in 2021.
Placements: Almost 70-80% of the students in our batch got placed till now, and the companies are still hiring. The highest salary package offered is 7 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 3 LPA. Several top companies came to our college to hire students like TCS, E-Inofchips, Yash Technologies, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college and the quality of hostel rooms are average but now it is developing fast. New buildings are being constructed and more facilities are given to students in terms of good food, extracurricular activities, and good hostel rooms.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and qualified. The quality of teaching is quite good. But the course curriculum should be upgraded to industry-level readiness. Students are not taught how the workflow in the industry happens and the curriculum contains more theoretical knowledge rather than practical knowledge.

Our college provides an average study but good placements support.
Placements: The campus does not assure placements, though there are 50 chances to get placed. At the same time, the TPO department also provides great support as it constantly provides opportunities throughout the city. Companies which visit different colleges of cities are also providing opportunities. The TPO cell contacts other college and registers students who are interested in placements, which resulted in almost 90% placements. The remaining 10% of the students will soon get placed if they don't have any other career option to pursue or if they don't opt for higher studies. The 8th semester is fully dedicated to the internship, which further guarantees placements to every student. But you have to put efforts from your side. The average salary package offered ranges from 2.5 LPA to 3 LPA. The highest salary package offered in technical companies was 6 LPA (through self-efforts the students got placed in HackerRank company which offered a salary package of 2 LPA and even above). The maximum salary package offered in the non-technical field was 12 LPA on incentive-based. So I am not sure about it.
Infrastructure: There are facilities like Wi-Fi, LAN, internet, fully equipped computer labs and fully-equipped electronics lab. Our college also has coordination with IIT Bombay, which provides training opportunities like programming spark 5 Bots and Firebird V. Events in our college are organised 24x7, and you will enjoy participating in them, but politics are involved a bit. Skills provide recognition.
Faculty: Teachers of our college are somewhat helpful, but yet if you don't behave properly, then they can cause you a great loss in grade. I have seen many students who are struggling to get 5.5 points in 7th semester. Industry support is great, but self-awareness is necessary because students who have high points in academics and don't have knowledge suffered. It is a great disadvantage, so I recommend to focus on internet studies and projects. The project here gets recognition from teachers only, and they provide limited support as long as you report to them. The one thing here is you have to maintain at least 60% attendance as it is mandatory. I have seen some students who were detained and got a year back. Grading is a little hard, so you have to study on your own as teachers are somewhat boring in tough subjects. However, there are a few interesting teachers. Some of them left the college, but there are a few teachers like director sir and others. The study completely depends on you as you have to study on your own to get passed and score well.
Other: I am an electronics geek and a programmer, so I chose this course as I find it more most suitable.

It has good infrastructure and teachers. Placements are also satisfying.
Placements: About 30-50% of students in our course got placed. The highest salary package offered in our course is 9.5 LPA, and the average salary package offered ranges between 3.5-4.5 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 2.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies like Samsung, TCS and Infosys visit our campus for placements. Top roles, like software engineer and processor designer, are offered to the students. Not all students do the internships. The previous year, about 50-60% of students did their internships in different companies.
Infrastructure: All necessary facilities and infrastructure are available. All labs and lectures are well scheduled, and faculty members are regular to them. The hostel is in the middle of the city, so all the daily requirements of student are available. In the hostel, warden and facilities are satisfying. Food served in the mess is average. Food served in the canteen is better, in my opinion. There is a doctors cabin in the university in MBA block, and warden also takes care of medical issues in the hostel. There are many sports competition in which you can take part in. In university, there is a separate sports complex where students can play some indoor games.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are very helpful. Especially in our department, some of them are very knowledgeable and ready to help us every time. They rarely miss any class, and teaching quality is good. The course curriculum is industry-relevant, and there are other activities also to make students industry-ready.
Other: I was very fascinated to go to ISRO, so I have chosen this course to go in. The best thing about our course is you can go to hardware as well as software companies. Our course could have been easier to understand. Many events are organised by the college every month. The college also organises one event in August every year in which some great personality of a country is invited to motivate and inspire the students like last year ISROs former director came to the university. The college organises 3-4 fest every year. Scholarships are available in our college based on your CGPA.

Good infrastructure and helpful faculty.
Placements: All the students who were eligible for placements sat for the placements and were placed in reputed companies across the world. The average package offered was different for different companies. I was placed in TCS in 2013 and the package offered was 3.2 LPA. TCS was the top recruiter for my college. Roles offered was the entry-level roles in the organizations like Assistant Systems Engineer Trainee.
Infrastructure: Multiple equipments were available taking care of the need for all the students, we were having all the labs which required relevant lab experience gain. The library was very excellent and was having a sufficient number of books. The food and facility provided in the hostels were good and the hostel had all the medical facilities and sports facilities including swimming pool, pool table, etc.
Faculty: Teachers were very helpful and qualified and were always ready to help. Teaching quality was also very good. I completed my degree in electronics and communication and the curriculum was relevant to the industry experience gained after the degree.
Other: Electronics and communication is one of the core subjects over time and now as well. Hence choose the course. The best thing which I liked about my course was the faculty. Industry knowledge of subjects over the degree.

Good education is provided but there are no placements.
Placements: We were told that the placement process at Vaishnav is worth it with 60-70% of placements. But the truth is that only TCS recruited 120 to 130 members out of 800 students. The remaining students had to find out jobs on their own.
Infrastructure: The labs and classrooms were good enough for studies. But 1,200 students increased in the first and second years, and the campus was too short to accomodate them. The canteen's food quality was good. I don't know about the hostels, but for the upcoming batches of Vaishnav University, this campus will be central India's the best campus.
Faculty: All the teachers were well-qualified and M.Tech graduates. They always helped us, and good quality of teaching was provided during classes. Attendance was taken on a daily basis, and we worked on live projects. The course was the same for all RGPV students, but recently, our college was converted to a university. So, it published its own books.
Other: The annual fest was conducted in the month of February. Many extracurricular activities were held on a daily basis.

The level of education and Faculty of the college is too good. They don't compromise in the academic part. For placements, majorly IT companies visit the campus taking students of CSE. For electronics and Communication not much companies visit so you have to make extra efforts to have an edge over o

Both the colleges have become a university recently. So they will give it all to make their universities better. Plus, both the colleges are equally rated in top 10 colleges of Indore. But I'll give my edge to Vaishnav as it is a reputed and an older trust.
