This is a very good college.
Placements: Overall, 40% is every year. Hayes is ripe for forty-two. The highest package is 14-16 LPA and average 7 LPA. Microsoft, Amazon, Infosys, Deloitte, TCS, and many other companies come. In other words, no such internships are offered by the college and if they are offered, very few are given percentages above the 8 CGPA.
Infrastructure: We don't have any hostel of our own choice in our college. They have put it in a type form with another hostel outside. If you want only a student hostel or a match, then contact them. The facilities here are not that good. From what I heard from my friend, the quality of food is very bad and there is nothing like a sports club. It is just a place to stay and eat, with one and a half seats.
Faculty: Yes, there are teachers, not bad at all, and most of them have passed their Ph.D. What Andorra teaches, we study B. Teach computers so that it will be useful for other civil service exams. The way the Andorra ship guides us is very helpful and they are very friendly in nature.
Other: I wanted to study computer science since I was little, so I took admission in college. I have scholarship facilities here like universal scholarship for West Bengal students and Ishan Uday scholarship for northeast students. In terms of extracurricular activities, there are many sports clubs, gaming clubs, and music clubs. Students participate a lot here.

Sister Nivedita University: A Hub for Holistic Education and Innovation.
Placements: SNU has collaborations with leading organizations in IT, management, and other sectors. Companies like TCS, Cognizant, Wipro, Infosys, Capgemini, and HDFC Bank frequently recruit from the campus. The engineering and technology departments report the highest placement rates, with many students securing positions in top IT firms. The average salary package ranges between 3 LPA and 5 LPA.
Infrastructure: The classrooms are spacious, air-conditioned, and equipped with smart boards and projectors to facilitate an interactive learning experience. SNU boasts state-of-the-art labs for various engineering disciplines, including Computer Science, Electronics, and Mechanical Engineering. Separate hostels for boys and girls with well-furnished rooms (single and shared options). The hostels are equipped with basic amenities like beds, tables, and cupboards. The hostel mess offers hygienic and nutritious meals with a variety of cuisines to suit diverse tastes.
Faculty: The faculty members at SNU are highly qualified, with many holding advanced degrees such as PhDs from reputed institutions. Several professors have significant industry experience, which helps bridge the gap between academia and practical applications. The teaching approach is modern and student-friendly, involving interactive classes, practical demonstrations, and the use of technology like smart boards and simulation software.
Other: Faculty members collaborate with students on research projects, especially in emerging fields like AI, Data Science, and IoT. Many professors contribute to publications in national and international journals.

    Average college and college life.
Placements: Placements at Sister Nivedita University (SNU) have been growing steadily, with a range of companies visiting the campus, especially for teaching and management roles. Students in fields like Computer Science and Engineering often have better placement opportunities, with offers from reputed IT companies and startups. However, the average salary packages are moderate, and while some students secure higher-paying roles, others feel that the university placement support could be enhanced to attract more top-tier companies and diversify the job roles offered. The placement cell is supportive but could work more on improving industry connections and preparing students for competitive interview processes.
Infrastructure: SNU offers a wide array of courses, especially in engineering, management, and the sciences. The curriculum is updated regularly to include current trends, particularly in technology-related fields. However, students sometimes feel that the courses could be more practical and industry-oriented, as they currently emphasize theory over hands-on learning. Faculty members are knowledgeable, but students would benefit from more workshops, labs, and real-world project opportunities. Overall, while the university’s academic offerings are solid, some improvements could be made to enhance the student experience.
Faculty: I liked the faculty at Sister Nivedita University. They were well-qualified and approachable, and willing to help students with doubts and extra guidance. However, some students feel that teaching methods could be more engaging and aligned with industry practices. The curriculum is fairly up-to-date, particularly for technical and professional courses, incorporating relevant topics and skills. However, more focus on practical, real-world applications and hands-on projects could enhance the learning experience. The exam structure is straightforward, with a focus on theory. While exams are fair, students sometimes feel they assess wrote learning over practical understanding. Adding project-based or open-ended assessment could improve skill development and practical knowledge.
Other: I like the food at the fest at Sister Nivedita University. It provides a decent selection of dishes, offering a mix of Indian and continental options. The food is generally fresh and hygienic, catering to different tastes. However, students feel that more variety would improve the experience. Special occasions bring a wider range of options, which is appreciated, but daily meals could be more diverse to avoid repetition. Overall, while the fest is satisfactory, with good quality and cleanliness, adding more frequent menu changes and options for customization would make it more enjoyable for students.

My perspective regarding my own college.
Placements: More than 90% of students were placed from my course. The highest package offered in our course was about 42 LPA, the lowest was 3.2 LPA, and the average package was 6.5 LPA. Companies like Amazon, TCS, and Byjus visit here. A good percentage of students got internships from our college.
Infrastructure: We have a well-decorated and maintained infrastructure. Labs and classrooms are maintained nicely by the staff. We have Wi-Fi, tables, chairs, desks, boards, and projectors. Hostels are also really good. The food quality is decent but not hygienic. We also have good food in our canteens.
Faculty: The teachers are really helpful, well-qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is good. The course curriculum is sometimes relevant. It may make students ready for the industry if they take it seriously. Being autonomous, semesters aren't that tough because you get common stuff over there.
Other: I chose this course because I have a keen interest in technology. The best thing about this course is the teaching. Faculty are sometimes very time-consuming in minimal things, but that can be improved. We do have many fests in our college occasionally, like Durga Puja, Diwali, etc.

Inside Look: A comprehensive review of Sister Nivedita University
Placements: I'm studying yet, my graduation hasn't been completed yet, so I don't have that much experience about the placement. But I have some knowledge about it. I have heard that a candidate must have a minimum CGPA of 6 per semester to sit in on the placement process. Many reputed companies are visiting our college for placement, like TCS, Wipro, and Infosys.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is just awesome. It is well structured. The labs, classrooms, and libraries are well decorated. The Wi-Fi is always available, and it is free also. The food of our canteen and hostel is too healthy and hygienic. The hostel rooms are so clean and very cozy.
Faculty: Our faculty members are too good to us. They are so supportive and helpful. They are also friendly with us. They scarcely sold us. They are always involved with competitive things like coding competitions, coding workshops, quiz competitions, etc. The exam is held in our college in two times. One is midsem, which is held in the middle of the semester, and another one is end sem, which is held in the last period of the semester. Minimum 30-35% is the pass percentage of our college exam.
Other: I have chosen this course because nowadays, artificial intelligence is the most powerful thing in this materialistic world, so its craze can never be faded. That's why I want to make my future from this background. Our campus is so marvelous, and on our campus a lot of festivals and functions are held every winter. There are a lot of extracurricular activities that exist in our college, like basketball, NCC, dancing, and singing. Besides these, the scholarship is also available in our college.

Don't go to SNU without reading these points .
Placements: This is my final year (2024-2025), and I am part of the campus drive for 2025 pass-outs. I will be honest; if you have better options, go for them. As you know, SNU is part of the Techno India Group, so during placements, many colleges compete together. I remember when Nutanix came for a drive; there were students from six different colleges competing together. Mainly, you'll compete with TIU, TMSL, and Asansol and Siliguri colleges. So far, we have had Microsoft, Nutanix, TCS, Accenture, and many smaller companies. Not many students have been placed from SNU, as the competition is high. If you are skilled enough, you can get placed, as companies do come, but not big names.
Infrastructure: The course is good, but the faculty is weak. You'll have economics but not a good teacher. This results in your own loss; people can see that you have learned economics, but you haven't. I don't stay in a hostel, but I have heard that they are too strict, but the food is good. Classrooms are non-AC, with fans, while labs have AC. The library has many unnecessary books instead of important ones, and Wi-Fi is not available for students.
Faculty: We had a few excellent teachers, but also some terrible ones, who were the new ones. But over these three years, many of the talented ones have left the college, so I am not sure how good the faculty will be. You have to study on your own if you really want to learn something. The core teachers are good, but you'll have issues with the others. The course is good, but no course is truly industry-ready. An industry-ready course is a myth; you'll have to learn industry-based skills on your own. No course will teach you web development, Android, Flutter, or anything like that. Semester exams are pretty easy; you just have to maintain attendance and have some basic knowledge of the subject to score a 7+ SGPA. The passing score is 4, but it is good to maintain at least a 7.5+ CGPA. We had a few excellent teachers, but also some terrible ones, who were the new ones. Other: I chose this course because CSBS was supposed to get preference at TCS. But campus life is terrible at this college—no events, no fests, nothing. If you want to study only, go for SNU; otherwise, I can give you an honest suggestion: sit for the WBJEE, and no matter how much you score, you'll have a better choice, as it will cost less. SNU is not value for money, at least for CS.
