Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University (SVVU) is a State University located at Tirupati, Chittoor district, Andhra Pradesh, India. It was established in 2005 by the Government of Andhra Pradesh under Act No.18 of 2005 & recognized by UGC under section -2(f) of UGC Act. The University has five Veterinary Colleges, one College of Fishery Sciences, one Dairy Technology College, 14 research stations for Livestock, five research stations for Fisheries, 10 Polytechnics for Animal Husbandry and one Fisheries Polytechnic Institution. The University offers UG & PG degree programmes in the three faculties while PhD programme is offered only in Veterinary Sciences.
