Dissatisfied because of placements

Placements: I have been placed in Wipro Technologies. But during our time of placements, the placement percentage and the companies which came for placements both were less as compared to our seniors. Some of the companies which came were Payoda, Zoho, TCS, Wipro, CTS, Infosys, Capgemini, Bank of America, Amazon and much more.

Placements not up to the mark but overall, the university was good.

Placements: The placements of the seniors were okay. But in our year, many placements didn't happen because not a single individual wanted to get placed in their core companies. It's better to fill the off-campus placement form in advance because that will help you more in getting placed rather than wasting your time going in and out of Chennai.

SRM - Life lessons learnt; educational lessons, not much.

Placements: Bad placement record for the batch. The funny part is that even the mass recruiters didn't recruit masses. No one got an internship from college. I was lucky enough to get it in my father's company but not everyone can say the same. The college took zero initiative when it came to internships, apart from the very obvious recommendation letter.

Good placement opportunities but everything else is down the scale.

Placements: The placements are pretty good. We have a lot of opportunities here. If a person fulfils the company criteria and studies well, I think he can easily get a 10-lakh package. People often don't work hard and blame the college for their failure and it's the reason why they are failing. On my part, I've realised that my college has provided me with a lot of opportunities but I was not prepared for it. So it's a mistake on my part, not the college.

Good food and good placement but costly.

Placements: The placement of our and senior batch was good. Almost all the students studying in the college and have 60% throughout got placed. The highest salary offered was 10LPA and the lowest was 2LPA. Companies like Thermo FIsher, Amazon, Cognizant, Wipro, Infosys, etc. recruited the students. Roles offered were that of software development engineer, intern, operations, etc.

Goof faculty. But it's a school. You'll get trapped and not feel like you're in a college.

Placements: The placements were decent. The ones who scored more than 8.0 CGPA were placed in core companies and the rest were in bulk. But 90% were placed in companies like Wipro, TCS, Infosys. These companies visited the main campus. As the placements are centralized, therefore, companies come to the Chennai campus from where the students are recruited. The students are given good training by the faculty for getting ready to face the interviews.

Good placement record but awful faculty.

Placements: The placements are quite good. 90% of my seniors were placed in companies like TCS, Wipro, Capgemini and Accenture. Mostly software testing jobs were offered. My senior got a 21-lacs package from Mu Sigma for 3 years. For placement purposes, you have to visit the main campus in Chennai. Every type of company shows up there being mass, core or start-up.

Good infrastructure, average placements.

Placements: Placements opportunities are mainly with IT giants. Besides these, other companies come as well. Placements take place at the Chennai campus, so if you are a good student, then placements in core companies are a possibility. Almost 80% of the students who sit in placements for IT companies get selected. Companies which visit include Schnieder Electric, TVS, TCS, Cognizant and Wipro.

Very expensive and below average hostel infrastructure. Good placement percentage.

Placements: The placement in the college for CSE department is quite good. If you don't have any backlog and you are a student with above 6 CGPA and your aptitude is average, then getting a job in a mass company is very easy. For core companies, you need to maintain good CGPA and you should have deep knowledge of at least three of your core subjects. The main problem for the NCR students of SRM is that they need to go to the Chennai campus for the whole period when the placements are going on. During that p...

Better go for the campus at Chennai rather than NCR.

Placements: Students of this campus went to the Chennai campus for a couple of months for placements. Very few companies come to the NCR campus. The placement is excellent. Almost cent percent students with no active backlog of my branch were placed before the seventh semester examination. From the mass recruiters to companies with highly attractive packages arrived during the placement season. There were many students who did their internship during their eighth semester. The infrastructure and placements are average. The degree has value as it is from Chennai.

Placements: The placements are not very good and you can expect an average job coming out from this college. The core companies do come for placement but there are very few who are selected. Mass companies take the students, and the highest salary for the 2016 batch was 8.4L and the lowest was 2L. Companies like Musigma, TCS, Wipro etc do come for placements. But, internships are not offered here.

An acceptable college for self-learners, but not for spoon-feeders.

Placements: The one thing I love about this university is the placement. Although the placement time is quite hectic as the people from NCR campus have to travel to Chennai campus and the bright sun of Chennai during the placement season makes it even worse, but still there are ample opportunities if you are an aspiring engineer. The number of core companies coming is very high and moreover, if you cannot clear those, many mass recruiters are also lined up for the placements. ...

Campus is best in infrastructure and greenery. Computer labs are with both windows and MAC operating system. College’s central library is 24 hours available .Few bad things about the college is its placement and faculty. Students from IT and computer science department are generally placed .Faculty is not well experienced. College is lacking in industry exposure. There are not any company visits in the campus. Few companies which come belongs to IT industry.

I graduated in 2015 in the field of mechanical. The college campus has good infrastructure .The 25 acre area along with the sports facilities help the students to inculcate healthy team spirit. The college has separate hostels for girls and boys and mess facility is also provided with healthy and hygienic food. The major issue with the NCR campus is that the students have to go to main campus which is in Chennai for placements very few company visit NCR campus for placements. The mechanical core...

The faculties are not so much experienced though they try their best to maintain an education standard by being strict when giving marks. Placements is a rather laborious process as of-campus students i.e., we and fellow students from the other offshoot colleges need to go the main campus for placements. Our campus life is average.

Placements: Most students got placed in IT and CS courses with an average package. We have to go to Chennai for placements because, in Ghaziabad, companies do not visit our college. Top roles offered were based on projects in top companies like TCS and Wipro.

It is an average college.

Placements: Almost 100% of the students got placements in every branch. The lowest salary package offered in all branches is 3 LPA, and the highest salary package offered in computer science engineering is 40 LPA. In other branches, the highest salary package offered went up to approximately 6.5 LPA. Students have to find an internship on their own as our college does not provide any internship.

Top recruiting companies were TCS, Infosys, CTS, Wipro etc. Mostly, the students got internships in government organisations like BSNL, MTNL etc. Top roles offered were an associate software engineer.
