Absolutely dissatisfied because of faculty, strength and placements.

Placements: Our seniors (whose strength was less than our strength) were provided with more placement opportunities than us. I don't know exactly about the percentage of the students who got placed, but it would be almost 60%. The average package offered was 3.5 lakhs per annum, and the highest was 16 LPA, which was offered by Amazon. Out of 9,000 students, only one student was offered that package.

Overall, SRM is an above average college. It is your hard work which decides your future.

Placements: The placements are good in terms of the number of students getting placed, but the profiles offered are not well. There are many students in the college, so every student has to face very high competition. If you learn and focus on academics, then you'll be placed in a good company. There are many mass recruiting companies. Aim for dream companies or work in startups for better work experience. Many dream companies like Amazon visit our college. You need to get very high GPA (around 9) to sit fo...

Average college, Beautiful Scenario, average placements.

Placements: Most of the Companies visit the campus during the placements are MNC companies and mostly look for a computer Science student. Average package maybe around 4-5 lacs Almost 80 percentage of the students get placed during placements Freshers are offered with trainee programme at beginning of their job career and eventually they will be offered higher sum of bucks as per their hard work and effort for product design or something Almost everyone does internship, in fact that's kinda compulsory thing...

The review of SRM University.

Placements: If you are not good at your studies, then you will get average placements. If you work hard and do some extra courses and maintain a good CGPA, then the chances of getting placed with the good salary package are very high, and it all depends on the students whether he/she is serious about his/her future.

Not worth the effort or money.

Placements: There are more than 200 companies which come for placements in our campus. More than 50% students get placed easily but to mass in taking companies like infosys and tcs. The interviews depend on the interviewee mood, if a HR interviewer comes it will be easier to answer questions but technical round is tougher. Placement cell offers interview training, aptitude classes but for a fee.

Good college in Tier 2 engineering colleges (Tier 1 being IITs/NITs/BITS). .

Placements: The placements were good for the entire batch. Around 90-95% of the batch was placed. Although dominated by IT roles, there is an opportunity for niche roles in the Electrical and Electronics sector for good performers. Companies like Siemens, Schneider, ABB, HUL, KPIT, etc. Visited campus. Packages range from 3.25- 7 LPA. Thr college has Excellent placements for IT, CSE grads.

Our college has average faculty, decent placements and good infrastructure.

Placements: I am a student in the final year, currently pursuing B.Tech from this University. I will trace back my journey from the first year. During the joining and counselling time, when I came to Chennai for the first time, I was awestruck by the huge buildings of the campus. As I'm from a small town, I was attracted to all these very quickly. During the counselling, we were made to run from one building to another building.

SRM IST- A platform to learn, leap and lead.

Placements: The placements in our college are average as the batch has less number of students and the department is small and not so well established. Very few core companies actually come and consider taking students but all the others are IT firms and this is a matter of concern for most students.

My personal opinion regarding SRM University.

Placements: About 60% of the students were placed out of which only 10% students got placements in core companies. The rest were taken up by mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro and Cognizant. The average salary offered was 3.5 lacs per annum, and the job profile for most of them was of an assistant system engineer and associate software engineers. Some other companies that visited the college were Mu Sigma, Schneider, HUL, IBM, etc.

College is good for those who are willing to take the opportunities. The placements are okay.

Placements: This year, the placements in our college are low. For EIE department, companies like Siemens, Wabag, TCS etc.., come to the college for placements. We have very less core company placements this year. Compared to the last year, this year placement was less, as only 36 people got placed. The exam pattern was mostly unfair. Unnecessarily time was wasted for the students.

SRM University B.Tech. Experience- A mixed bag.

Placements: SRM University is a college that will get you placed. No doubt about that. But it is like a mass hiring agency for the IT majors at the entry level. There are some high paying roles on offer, but it is mostly entry level IT jobs irrespective of which stream you are in. Putting it in purely financial terms, the return on investment is pretty bad.

Better join in other colleges if you are really rich you can join in the college.

Placements: The placements are below okay when compared to the college fee. You should have basic knowledge of programming languages like C, Java etc. You must have good communication skills to get placed. Some companies hire you based on your CGPA and it has to be more than 8.5.

How difficult is life in SRM.

Placements: The placements rate is going down. Companies are looking for more quality students. Mass recruiters recruits very less. So placement rate is falling steeply. On a average 5-6 Lacs salary. Top salary notched up to 27 Lacs. But college brings lots of company. And if you are good in your field then you will definitely will get placed. Some Company comes which give us stipend upto 50k and some as low as 2k. But very less company provide internship offer to us.

Absolutely dissatisfied because of faculty members and the worst placements in 2018.

Placements: EIE department has least placement opportunities. We get only few core companies. This year 36/90 got placed on my department who got registered for placement. But this year Top companies like simens, Johnson control, wabag, TCS EIS, HUL took two students each from EIE department. The highest package was 7.5 LPA and least was 3.05 LPA. Compared to lats year this year placements wer good. 5 people got internship opportunities. We have a good placement cell who take care in all issues related to p...

Hidden Facts of SRM students must know.

Placements: Placements are provided for students of good grade. Others are simply filtered out getting a letter from students. Still srm makes pretty decent placement Average 10-20% of class strength get placed. Srm provide training from 1st sem for placement but only useful only when u qualify with CGPA to sit placement.

Not the best choice but is fine.

Placements: Almost every person gets placed if you have no backs and arrears. The company coming gives a package from as high as 25lpa to as low as 2lpa. With a little effort a good placement can be achieved. I am a pre final year student and I have already recieved an internship offer and most probably will get a ppo.

Placements: Placement for automobile is bad. Companies which come take mechanical students and automobile students are left stranded. 3-4 LPA package is offered Mostly internship is offered to students. Companies that come for recruitment are: 1. Continental Tyres 2. Suzuki 3. Chevrolet etc.

SRM Institution of Science and technology review.

Placements: To be honest, the placements is not at all satisfactory. At the end major placements are by the mass recruiters which offers the package around 3-4 Lacs. These private companies won't assure you for the job security. Last year only 2 or 3 students from mechatronics dept. Were placed in the core companies.

Placements: Placements for our batch started from the month of August, in the midst of 7th semester. All the major and core companies are about to recruit in the 7th semester only. The eligibility criteria for placement in most of the companies is 8.5-9.0 CGPA.

Not recommended to the students, who want to reach great heights in their life.

Placements: The placements in our college are not at all good. Only a few got selected among the thousands of students. Moreover, there are job opportunities even after the degree. The campus placements solely depend on the qualified and deserved students. The strength of the department is about 1000, and only 30 among them got placed. Not worth the money. If you want to reach greater heights, then don't join in this college.
