Very expensive university, loved my college life.

Placements: Placements at SRM Institute of Science and Technology, KTR campus, are not good. If you want TCS or Infosys, then you can apply for this institute. The average salary offered will be 3 LPA or 3.5 lakhs per annum. Last year, I heard that around 4,000 students were placed. Out of which, around 500 got an average package of 5 LPA to 6 lakhs per annum.

Satisfied with the faculty and infrastructure, facilities are a bit outdated. Placements are decent.

Placements: The placement percentage in the college is pretty decent. The exposure is great. Every year 70% of the students get campus placement. There is a Career Development Centre specially for the increased placements in the college. However the last year placement percentage was decreased.

Day to day, it's becoming the worst with respect to placement opportunities.

Placements: When I joined SRM, the number of placed students were more compared to now. Every year, the placement offers were gradually decreasing. Now, the lowest salary will be around 20. Maximum, all companies visit the campus. The internship offers were very high. There was a special placement cell in SRM.

One of the top-ranked private university in India with a decent crowd from all parts of the country.

Placements: Mechatronics is generally taken by the students, who are going to pursue masters after their B.Tech. Don't expect to be placed in a good core company(the chances are rare), but getting placed in an IT or a software company is easy. Only 1 of 30 students got placed in a good core company.

Experience till now that I got in this college SRM, and I will not prefer you to take admission.

Placements: The average salary package offered by the companies is 3-4 LPA, and some are not even getting the job. Even the placement cell is taking money from students for giving job opportunity, but if you don't get a job, then they will not give you the refund. Even it's to hard to get a job because the other colleges of SRM came here for placement thing because of that your chances of getting a job is also reduced. I will barely prefer this college to someone, and even they also force you to take a job ...

Good infrastructure and facilities, but poor faculty.

Placements: The placements are quite good for computer students, not for other departments. The college faculty do not have much talent. So, we have to learn on our own. It is one of the awesome colleges in Chennai to enjoy college life. Placements are not much as expected. The students who need good placements, kindly, don't join this college.

The benefits of having robots could vastly outweigh the problems.

Placements: Placements from the top level IT companies are the first choice for the university, but student groups are encouraging other companies to visit the campus. The core companies are only recruiting students with high CGPA, which is more of a concern. Each department should be much more productive.

This institute is overrated, doing B.Tech from here is waste of money and time.

Placements: The placement of the college is not at all good as for a batch of 900 students, around 300 students get placement. At the time of joining the institution, they promise you will be placed with a good package, forget about a good package, you even not get a placement. The average package is around 3 LPA, and 1 or 2 students get a package above 15 LPA.

Satisfied with the campus life but faculty members are bad.

Placements: You will definitely get placed if you are good at extracurricular activities. For mechanical students, the core placements are less. Around 100 companies will visit, but most of them will be of IT sector. The university will try hardest to push you. They will be conducting many pre-placement talks. You can get placements very easily.

Biotechnology in SRM Institute of Science and Technology.

Placements: The Placement Records For Biotechnology is below average, The Students Mostly Prepare For Further Post Graduation or Research. As a research Reference this university is quite good, if you are in biotechnology department then you can get all type of facilities that could help your research. And the facilities of placement are good though they are doing a lot better in Computer Science, most of the students From CSE get placed and those from Biotechnology who have learned coding, programming, oth...

Never take admission in SRM.

Placements: The lowest package offered was 2.5 to 4.0 LPA, the average was 4 to 6 LPA, and the highest was 7 to 8 LPA. Around, 1600 students take admission only in CSE department every year. In the other branches, around 5,000 students get admission. So, it is waste of money to come here and get your career in danger. Here, they always talk about the GATE, GRE, and CAT exam as they know the placements are not good at SRM. I suggest you take admission in your city college as it is better to live with your fa...

A place to learn and build some great memories.

Placements: The placement cell is helpful and efficient in getting the students placed. But, you need to stand out because there is too much crowd in SRM. Many efforts are needed from the student to grab a decent placement. Getting placed in IT mass recruiters is comparatively easy though.

My experience in SRM, Kattankulathur.

Placements: Good amount of companies visited but not everyone got placed. Earlier companies like TCS Infosys used to hire in bulk, but this time they also hired less than 50% of last time. The average package is what the mass recruiters offer, that is 3.3 LPA, and it is not tempting.

Dissatisfied with the placements but if you work every day for 4 years, you'll have a good package.

Placements: The placements for our seniors are around 50% for CS and IT (2018) batch, and for other branches, it was around 20-30%, and that too most of them were not placed in their core companies but IT companies. The average package is 3 LPA, and the highest is taken mostly by CS and IT students around 11 LPA-20 LPA. The placement is decreasing every year since I joined SRM, but that's also because of the situation of our country. Mostly, the students have to find their own internship, and stipend depend...

SRM, better than most private universities.

Placements: I am not yet placed, but they are giving us pre-placement training (for 3rd-year students). The training is conducted by CCC (campus corporate connect). They have a 20-day planned course to improve our skills and confidence on coding in any language. It is very helpful but at the same time, exhausting, but it's worth it.

Th college had good infrastructure but dissatisfied with the way of teaching.

Placements: The placement ratios do not justify the number of money students has to bear to get a degree from SRM University. The highest package has got in the last few years is around 30 LPA-35 LPA, and these are some rare cases. The average packages are around 4 LPA-4.5 LPA for CSE/IT students. It is even less for other branches. Most of the students get placed in mass recruiting companies due to very few options in hand. The review of SRM University.

Placements: The placements are horrible. Rarely good companies come to the campus for internships and placements. Most of the companies that come are here for mass recruiting. I feel this is due to the low-level teaching of the college. Most of the people compromise and settle for these companies while some who are good at self-learning. The students apply through off-campus and get a job.

It is an average college, and not worth the money.

Placements: 99% students are placed in IT companies with a package of less than 3 LPA. But, the college fee is 2.15 lakhs, and I don't think it is good. No core company came last year for recruitment until the end of 8th semester. So, regarding placements, it is not recommended.

The college has extremely poor placements.

Placements: The placements are difficult to get. Every year, lots of students admitted. For the department like IT, CSE, and software, the students are about 2,500. The campus placements for all the other branches takes place from Kattankulathur, and thus there is more competition. This year, the placements are poor, despite being fewer students when compared to our batch.

Placements: No placement are there for the MBBS graduates. So I don't know what to fill here. The other campus students get regular campus interviews, and there are good placements in the engineering and the arts college. But, in the dental and the medical colleges, until now there are no placements.
