Satisfied with placements, but not with hostel and mess. Faculty are fine in their way.

Placements: Coming to placements, the campus role is up to 40%, and our role is 60%. The recruiters won't let you in if you don't clear the entry tests. You have to clear the entrance tests like aptitude, group discussion, and after clearing all those tests, if you enter HR round, and don't answer properly, the faculty can recommend to recruit you.

It is average. The faculty are okay. Infrastructure is okay. College helps if you are working hard.

Placements: As we all know during the placement procedure, no one knows how it goes, but this time, it was better than other colleges. The NCR students also performed well this time. The highest package offered was more than 30 Lacs and average package is about 3.5 Lacs as many seniors told me about their placements.

The worst university with the good infrastructure.

Placements: The placements are decreasing year by year. They are increasing students. In 2016, around 6300 students were placed, which was good, but it reduced to 3200 students in 2017, and to 1200 on this year(2018). Also, the students are increasing continuously in every year by the factor of a or two thousand. They show the wrong stats that there are 100% placements.

Absolutely dissatisfied because of the hostels and the crowd present in SRM.

Placements: The placement scenario in our college is degrading day by day. As earlier, many of the students were placed in different companies (mainly software companies). But because of the recession in 2016, things have changed a lot. But looking at the history of SRM University placement, they have got great milestones, and students belonging to CSE branch are placed easily when compared to others. The highest package offered to a CSE guy was 32 LPA.

SRM honest review - placement, faculty, and courses.

Placements: Most of the students are placed in mass recruiting companies. Last year, very few companies came and quite a lot of students went unplaced. Starting this year, the college is providing free placement training for students and taking steps to ensure maximum conversion for students to get placed.

Faculty members should provide more technical knowledge.

Placements: Placements in SRM are good as many companies visit our campus for placements. Students are well-prepared for placements, and we didn't face any problems during placements until now. But many of the students got placed by mass recruiting companies as students lack technical knowledge. They teach us aptitude but lack technical knowledge.

Dissatisfied with the college.

Placements: There was this orientation programme when I entered the college. Authorities said they have placement of 6000+ students, but today as of 2018, they said it has been very low (1100) only. The highest salary offered is about 8 LPA, and the lowest is 3.4 LPA.

Not satisfied, but it is a good college.

Placements: The placements vary every year. This year, companies like Google, Amazon, Cisco, TCS, etc. have shown up till now. In my knowledge, the highest salary offered was Rs.12 LPA by Amazon. Cisco offered the salary package of Rs.11.5 LPA. These were some above average packages that were offered. But on a regular basis and a mass note, the average was about 4 LPA or 4.5 LPA till now. We expect a few more good companies at the beginning of the new year again. Our students were not able to crack the Goo...

Good infrastructure, and poor faculty members.

Placements: There are many companies which come for placement, and many of my seniors got placed in companies such as Amazon, TCS, Infosys, etc., but not all the students get placed due to lack of technical skills in them. The students are offered packages from around 3 lakhs INR to 16 lakhs INR.

Costly education, good infrastructure and good at placement till previous year.

Placements: SRM university is now changed to SRM Institute of science and technology. SRM is famous for its placements, but this year then placements have decreased gradually. Many bulk recruiters have taken a few number of students compared to previous years. Due to the huge strength of the students, this year placements for all will be a dream.

Absolutely good because of faculty, good placement, really good infrastructure and facilities

Placements: The college provides good placement opportunities. Every year, a lot of companies come. SRM has a good record of placement. HCL, TCS, I-Ball, etc. come to get the students placed. It is the biggest campus placement. Overall, 75% students get placed with a good record. The knowledgeable students get placed.

SRM University condition is not good to take an admission.

Placements: There are poor placements in this campus. SRM University only has IT company placements. Mechanical placement is very poor. The overall placement condition is not good. The average placement package is very low, around 3-4 lakhs per annum. In the mechanical department, 70% of the students are unemployed.

One of the top colleges with good placements, infrastructure, but no study & research culture.

Placements: The placements were good for 2014-18 batch, in that, almost all the placements intended students have been placed in the School of Computing and Electronics by 7th semester. Mechanical and other similar departments have major companies coming in the last semester. Around 70% students (of those sitting for placements) have been placed in the software department by 7th semester. The highest salary offered was offered by Cisco (9 LPA+4 LPA benefits), and the lowest salary anywhere was 3 LPA. The av...

SRM university, pay money and enjoy your degree and leave your future to the god.

Placements: The placement in this college is average, and you can get a 4 lakhs package if you come to the average students. A very few of the students get dream placement in case, the branch is good, and for the rest of the branch, it isn't like that. Very few companies come with few vacancies and a high-pressure requisition. The average salary is approximately 3.5 Lakhs per annum, which is nothing considered, what you pay for the tuition fees.

A few teachers are extremely dissatisfying

Placements: In the academic year 2016-2017, placements are not so good as compared to previous year.Total of 68 companies came for placement and recruited only 889 students. If you want to join this college, have a knowledge of all departments because the placement varies a lot for courses.

SRM Kattankulathur – read this review to know about which is the best and the worst colleges.

Placements: The placements are pretty good here, most of the students who opt for placement gets placed to some companies, whether service based or product based. As of last year, more than 50 product based companies visited SRM, but the strength of students have increased drastically. So it will be a tough competition, rest assured service based will always have your back.

Mess food is very bad. Pathetic hostel. No facilities like cooler at the time of summer.

Placements: Here, the placement record is very good. This year, there were 488 students placed from SRM University from the mechanical branch. But this was the lowest number because last year, there were 1100 students who were placed from the mechanical branch. There were lots of companies like Cognizant, TCS, Tech Mahindra, Accenture and others that selected students from our campus.

Above average placement, good opportunities and infrastructure, lively and competitive atmosphere.

Placements: Good opportunities in computer science and management companies. Salary offered is quite good, can go up to 21 lacs. However, only a few core companies come for ECE. Most of the companies allow only class toppers/branch toppers to appear for their process. Mass recruiting IT companies take students in bulk. Almost everyone gets placed.

Highly expensive but if money is no problem and it is a fine choice.

Placements: Placements were great. There were hardly any eligible students who were not placed. At least none in my knowledge. Though most of the recruitments were done by mass-recruiters, it would be wrong to say that prospects were not great if you are up for them. IT companies recruited in bulk, but core companies were also there, though placements in these companies were scarce and thus difficult.

If it is the last option you then you should come here, else, try again next year.

Placements: The placements in SRM is a long season. First, all the mass companies come such as TCS, Infosys, Wipro, etc. The students are allowed to apply and interview for one mass company and one core sector company. All in all, most of the students get placed in mass companies. The average salary is around 3.5-4 lakhs per annum. To sit for placements one should not have any withstanding arrears.
