Campus life is good, and you will have plenty of free time to prepare for any competitive exam.
Placements: Most of the students get placed, while those who don't often opt for M.Tech. Top recruiting companies include BHEL and Indian Oil. Last year, the highest package offered was 18 LPA, with an average package of 5 LPA. Internship opportunities are also good.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are clean and well-ventilated. Labs are well-equipped with all the necessary instruments for experiments. Hostels are also clean, and the rooms are pretty good. Each hostel has its own canteen, which stays open until 2 AM, and campus Wi-Fi is accessible.
Faculty: Teachers are nice and teach very well. If you don't understand something in class, you can ask your doubts after the class ends; they will help you for sure. The difficulty of semester exams is well-balanced, but the end-term exam is a bit harder.

I am satisfied with faculty, teaching, curriculum, infrastructure, but placements can be improved.
Placements: From the statistics, the university is quite new, and the figures are good. Placements were average. The salary packages offered were also average. About 30% of the students got placed in various companies with technical as well as managerial posts. Companies like Amazon, Oil India Limited and Power grid were offering the highest salary.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the university is very good. It has centralised Wi-Fi connectivity. Classrooms are equipped with projectors and video teaching aids. The library houses an enormous collection of books for not only all the courses but extra areas as well, which provides a good recreation for the readers. Hostel rooms are very good, and the quality of the food is up to the mark.
Faculty: One of the strong points of the university is its faculty and the course curriculum that it adopts. The teaching faculty is very helpful, knowledgeable and always ready for supervising the students in all aspects at any time. They are also highly qualified for the job, and teaching methods and approach is very appreciable.
Other: The college conducts Techxetra Annual, Technocultural Fest, lot of extracurricular activities and competitions. It has a central Wi-Fi connectivity. The campus surroundings are clean. Internship programs and scholarships are available on the college.

Talented and friemdly faculty, world class infrastructure, hectic course curriculum, average placeme
Placements: Placements are mainly concentrated with the School of Engineering and School of Business Administration. Though compared to IITs and NITs, placement is inferior, still most of the leading recruiters do come for campus placements. Big Names like Amazon, Intel, SAP Labs, Huwaei, IBM, Microsoft, Vodafone absorb aspiring students from CSE and ECE departments, PSUs like OIL, Power Grid, BHEL have currently started recruiting students from Mechanical, Civil and Electrical deptt. Too. Mass Placement is notch seen here. But CSE and ECE Deptts do witness 40% placements. Average package is 4.5 lacs per annum with an amazing 14 lacs per annum maximum (Amazon and OIL) Food engineering department invites companies like Patanjali, Dabur and Marico. Though the placement scenario is not that much satisfactory till now but with the invoming of PSUs and IT giants, it is sure to improve in the comimg years. Moreover, Tezpur University is placed in the 601-800 band in World Rankimgs along with prestigious IITs. Research is quite well dwvwloped with The Physics deptt. Ranked 4th in India recently.
Infrastructure: Tezpur University is a central university. Since it is centrally funded, its infrastructure is quite superior compared to the other universities in the state. Hostels have a wide range of facilities. Overall there are 14 hostels: 5 boys and 9 girls! 3 Wi-fi routers are available in each wing of the hostels and they give superb NET Speeds upto 2-3 Mbps. Hostel Canteen is opened upto 2:00 at night. Mess food is satisfactory and definitely worth the money, though it differs from hostel to hostel. Bathrooms are quite hygienic and equipped with tiles and shower facilities. 24hr Water Supply and Electricity is available. Washing machines are there too! Regarding Sports Facilities, there is a huge central playground with heavy floodlights. One mini indoor stadium, two volleyball courts, two basketball courts and one tennis court is situated inside the campus. A newly inaugurated swimming pool is also present. Labs are well-equipped and air conditioned Computer Labs have the latest OS and also very advanced CPUs. The Central library is huge with more than 80000 volumes all together. Online Renewal facity is given. A health centre is also situated inside the campus with complementary 1st aid and counselling. Together with a gymnasium and a music practice room, the infrastructure is quite upto the mark one must say. Campus life is amazing. Classrooms are spacious, wide and have projector facilities too.
Faculty: Most of the faculty are highly qualified and talented to brush concepts of students to a great extent. Most importantly they are very friendly and anyone can approach them for any counselling. Mentoring facility is provided too and is a compulsion. Course curriculum is very hectic, I must say. But nevertheless very systematic. 4 tests are held every semester with meticulous evaluation. Max credits for each course is 25 and one cannot exceed such credit in a single semester. Relative Grading is observed. Evaluation is transparent and fast. SGPA and CGPA s are given for each sem to every student. Minimum of 75% attendance is compulsory for every student and for every course.
Other: Tezpur University is located at Napaam near Tezpur, which is called the Cultural Capital of Assam. So definitely a lot of cultural fests are observed every year which witnesses a lot of vivid talents on the stage every year. The annual Techno-cultural event, Techxetra, is one of the most popular fests in North-Eastern India in which hundreds of young people from different colleges and universities crowd the campus. Apart from it, Fests like InScignis, Sampark amd the Annual Meet also makes the campus premises electrifying. Quizzes and debates are held almost every fortnight. And the Annual Meet witnesses vivid sports activities throughout the Campus. Bus Facilities are available from 6 am in the morning to 8 pm at night.

In my campus, infrastructure is the best but placement is medium.
Placements: In Tezpur University, Placement Scenario is medium. Around 30-40% student got the job from my senior batch. But In mechanical engineering, all girls are placed. The highest package is around 6.5 Lacs per annum and the lowest is 3 Lacs per annum. And from my university, some students are placed through GATE exam. In my university placement cell is also available which are very helpful for recruitment process and internship.
Infrastructure: Tezpur University has the best infrastructure. In this University full campus is Wi-Fi campus and have a central library which is very helpful for all students. And Health centre is also available on this campus. All sports are available on my campus. The smart classroom is also available. In my department, a central workshop is available which is well designed and all types of equipment are available in this workshop. Canteen food is good but it is slightly costly. Hostels room are good.
Faculty: In my department, Faculty is good and all are well educated. Many faculty members are completed them higher education from IIT's and the foreign countries university. They teach the students through slides as well as using whiteboards for clear the doubt. And in my department, the students and faculty ratios are 10:1.

Dissatisfied with the placements and food supplied.
Placements: The placement scenario is very bad. There are no good placements in almost all the branches. CSE may have little good placements. I don't know about the exact figures of the packages. Many companies visit, but they take only a few students with them. Companies like TCS, OIL, etc., visit the college. There is a placement cell, and it is quite efficient.
Infrastructure: The college is average in infrastructure. Wi-Fi speed is good sometimes, and sometimes, very bad. Not sufficient books are there in the library (e.g. Almost 300 students are running for 30 same books). The classrooms are pretty good. The medical facilities are also good. Sports and games are well. The quality of labs and classrooms are good. The worst food is supplied in the canteen, they are quite hygienic but not healthy at all. The hostel rooms are better.
Faculty: The faculty are quite good here, though some teachers can't teach, and they make the subject or topic uninteresting for us. They are qualified and knowledgeable except the faculty members of the practical laboratories. They will just tell you about the procedure and can't explain the concept behind the experiments. The student to faculty ratio is good. We didn't get industry exposure yet. The course curriculum is pretty useful.
