    Exploring Tezpur University .
Placements: The placements are good in the sense that every engineering department student above CGPA 7 is eligible for campus interviews, and many get selected. Even if not placed via campus interview, many opt for off-campus placement, which is easy to get as we are Tezpur University passouts.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of Tezpur University is by far the best in the way. It is the 3rd most ranked university in the Northeast. Of course it has good hostels and playgrounds, swimming pool, yoga center, computer center, gym, central library, etc.
Faculty: The faculty members of the university are IIT passouts; some are Tezpur University passouts with good learning and mentorship for the students. Students are guided by professors, assistant professors, and research scholars. The exam is taken half yearly every year.

Campus life is good, and you will have plenty of free time to prepare for any competitive exam.
Placements: Most of the students get placed, while those who don't often opt for M.Tech. Top recruiting companies include BHEL and Indian Oil. Last year, the highest package offered was 18 LPA, with an average package of 5 LPA. Internship opportunities are also good.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are clean and well-ventilated. Labs are well-equipped with all the necessary instruments for experiments. Hostels are also clean, and the rooms are pretty good. Each hostel has its own canteen, which stays open until 2 AM, and campus Wi-Fi is accessible.
Faculty: Teachers are nice and teach very well. If you don't understand something in class, you can ask your doubts after the class ends; they will help you for sure. The difficulty of semester exams is well-balanced, but the end-term exam is a bit harder.

    Tezpur University's B.Tech Review .
Placements: 30-40% of students get placed here. The highest placement is 12 LPA. The lowest and average placements, I have no idea about, but you can check in Tezpur University's liked page. Companies like BEL, Amul, Ag Software, Oil, Larsen and Turbo, etc., visit here. Students find internships by themselves. Offers like GET, SDE, Consultancy are offered.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is a bit slow but manageable. Projectors, desks, and benches are proper, and labs are good, filled with necessary equipment. The infrastructure is very good. The hostels are average, the canteen is there for packaged foods, and the mess food is average. The hostels are not very clean but manageable. The health center is there, so no need to worry. You can enjoy all sports and games here.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified enough. The course curriculum is pretty relevant and includes everything other colleges have. Semester exams are difficult towards the end but still manageable if you have done well in sessional and mid-semester exams. There are 2 sessional exams, 1 mid-semester exam, and 1 end-semester exam, totaling 150 marks.
Other: I chose CSE because it's the booming industry. Placements could have been better here, okay. Fests like Insignis, Tecxetra, etc., are there. Scholarships are provided for those in need.

    Really good infrastructure, facilities etc.
Placements: 70 to 80% of the students were placed in our course. The highest package offered in our course is 50 LPA, the lowest is 1 LPA and the average is 25 LPA. The top recruiting company is Apple. 100% of students got internships from our course. This is all the information about our batch and course.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure available for our course/department are very good there were smart classrooms where monitors are present and AC, fan, etc. The classroom also has AC, fan, etc. The library is very huge one of the largest libraries at Tezpur University.
Faculty: The teachers were helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality of the teachers was good. The course curriculum is relevant and it makes the students industry-ready. Firstly there were 4 exams in every semester 1,2, mid and end term. The semester exams in the colleges are difficult rated 8.5 out of 10.

Average college with very beautiful campus!
Placements: I am in electrical engineering course; around 50 students are enrolled in our course. Talking about the previous year, around 80% of the students got placed in electrical batch. The package offered was quite decent, with an average of 8 LPA, and the highest package was around 20 LPA, while the lowest package was 4 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Reliance India limited, Assam State Electricity Board, Celstream Technologies, etc. Around 75% of students were offered an internship programme in companies like ITC limited. Various roles are offered in the course, such as product designer, product manager, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure available on the entire campus is magnificent. However, currently, the institution does not have an electrical department available. But the rest of the academic facilities are very well maintained and provided for students. Classrooms are provided with smart projectors and digital screens. The library is good enough, with a collection of around 20,000+ books and journals. Wi-Fi is also provided on the library campus. Hostels are quite good, as most of the hostels here are electricity-neutral and well-equipped with solar panels. Mess quality in hostels is not too good. However, a canteen is available for students in the hostel. The institute has its own health center available for medical facilities. A wide variety of sports are also available.
Faculty: Faculty members are really helpful here. They have very good knowledge of the subjects. Their teaching qualities are also decent enough to make you understand the concepts. However, a few may be very boring. The course provides a wide variety of knowledge and understanding about the curriculum. The course is totally relevant. It will help students explore wider aspects of industry. Semester exams are not very tough! As it is primarily from the discussed portions of the classroom. One with a basic knowledge of class notes can easily pass the exams. Semester exam pass percentage is around 80%. .
Other: In my electrical batch, around 40 students are enrolled. The reason behind choosing this course is obviously due to my bad rank in JEE Main, and this was the only course I was getting. The best thing about this course is that you can get a good PSU's job through it. I think there should be more focus on providing practical knowledge in this course, as the complexity of the theory makes it difficult to understand. You will find lots of recreational programs on campus; various events like Inscignis, Techxetra, and food festivals are generally organized here. The campus is very beautiful, as it is covered with lush greenery and good infrastructure. However, connectivity is not very good here. Scholarships are also provided by the university; for more details, you can check the university's official website. Extracurricular activities like debates and quizzes are generally organized here.

This is the best north-east college ever and the infrastructure and facilities are really good.
Placements: To be honest, placement here can be a little disappointing, but it is getting better day by day. The major hindrance is the location factor but the TnP cell works very hard to bring companies and provide students with equal opportunities. CSE has an average placement, followed by ECE. In the core branch, most people go for exams like GATE ESE, State PSU exams or any higher studies; however, some people also get placed on campus at PSUs like OIL, Electricity Boards and all.
Infrastructure: Tezpur University has well-developed hostel facilities for its students. There are a total of 11 hostels on campus, which provide accommodation for both undergraduate and postgraduate students. The hostels are divided into separate blocks for male and female students. Each hostel has its own mess facility, providing affordable and nutritious meals. The rooms are well-furnished with basic amenities like beds, study tables, and cupboards. The hostels also have common rooms with television sets, and some have sports facilities like badminton and table tennis courts. Regular maintenance and cleaning of the hostels is ensured by the university administration. Overall, the hostel facilities at Tezpur University are considered to be of a good standard and meet the needs of the student community. At the end, one thing I want to say is that you have to face some problems.
Faculty: Academics here is quite hectic as we are under continuous assessment. We give 4 exams in a semester Test-1 (25 marks) Midsem (40), Test-II (25) and Endsem (60). Professors here are quite qualified, as most of them hold Ph.D. degrees from good and reputed colleges like NIT and IIT and have many years of teaching experience.

Q:   Is B.E. / B.Tech at Tezpur University worth the investment?

    A:
    {Source: B.E. / B.Tech students & alumni}

Is B.E./B.Tech at Tezpur University Worth the Investment?

Here's a summary of the pros and cons:

    Pros:
    * Beautiful campus with lush greenery and good infrastructure
    * Qualified faculty members with a strong industry connection
    * Relevant course curriculum with emphasis on practical knowledge
    * Decent placement record with average salaries ranging from INR4-INR12 lakhs
    * Opportunities for internships and on-campus/off-campus placements
    * Availability of scholarships for deserving students

    Cons:
    * Limited placement opportunities for certain branches (e.g., Electrical Engineering)
    * Difficulty in getting placed in core companies due to location constraints
    * High competition for limited seats and opportunities
    * Limited exposure to international companies and organizations
    * Average quality of hostel food and infrastructure

    Verdict:

Q:   How effective is the placement cell for B.E. / B.Tech courses at Tezpur University?

    A:
    {Source: B.E. / B.Tech students & alumni}

    Placement Cell Effectiveness

    * The placement cell is considered effective, with increasing numbers of students getting placed every year.
    * While some students reported disappointment with the placement scenario, especially due to the university's location, others praised the efforts of the TNP cell in bringing companies to campus.
    * According to one review, last year's placement report showed 28 out of 42 ECE students getting placed with an average salary package of INR4.93 lakh.
    * Another review mentioned that while the placement scenario is improving, the major hindrance remains the university's location, which affects the number of multinational companies visiting the campus.
    * Additionally, some students pointed out that the placement cell focuses mainly on core companies, leaving room for improvement in attracting more startups and non-core industries.

    Industry Exposure and Internships

    * Students praised the internship program, mentioning that every student is guaranteed an internship after completing their sixth semester.
    * Industry exposure is deemed essential, with some students stating that the placement cell could improve by organizing more industry-specific projects and workshops.
    * One review highlighted that some PSUs are already looking for placements, indicating potential growth in this area.

Overall, while the placement cell effectiveness varies among students and alumni, it appears that the university is making efforts to improve the placement scenario and provide industry exposure to students. However, there is still scope for improvement, particularly regarding the university's location and the type of companies attracted to campus.
