B.Tech. in Civil Engineering - Batch of 2027
Offered by Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute - VJTI Mumbai
3.8

The college has great events and placements. It only lacks infrastructure.
Placements: The college has a very good placement rate. In the last year, around 75-80% of students got placed on campus. The highest salary package offered for civil engineers is 14 LPA, and the average salary package offered is 7 LPA. Almost all college students get an internship. Some students got paid internships and some got unpaid internships.
Infrastructure: The civil department in the college has very good infrastructure. All the facilities are provided in classrooms. The lab instruments are precise. Wi-Fi is available throughout the campus area. The hostel conditions are not that good. The hostel has poor infrastructure, but the mess food is good.
Faculty: Most of the faculty members are PhD holders from IITs. They have vast knowledge in their respective fields. The schedule of the college is so busy, like 9 to 5 job. The college starts from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. Semester exams are quite tough, and the minimum percentage required for passing is 35%.
Other: I have chosen this course because I want to apply for a government job and civil has a vast scope for them. The college should provide lectures for competitive exams like engineering services exams. Events are so well-organised and they are good.

B.Tech. in Electronics and Computer Science Engineering - Batch of 2027
Offered by Mahavir Education Trust's Shah and Anchor Kutchhi Engineering College (SAKEC)
4.8
5Placements5Infrastructure4Faculty5Crowd & Campus Life5Value for Money
Our college has good infrastructure, and if possible they will extend the college campus.
Placements: Shah and Anchor Kutchhi Engineering College has demonstrated commendable placement performance across its various engineering courses. The highest salary package offered in the 2023-24 placement season was 32.57 LPA. The average salary package offered was 4.95 LPA. The lowest salary package offered was 3 LPA.
Infrastructure: The campus provides seamless Wi-Fi connectivity, enabling students to access online resources and stay connected. The cafeteria offers a variety of vegetarian meals and snacks, maintaining hygiene standards to ensure quality food for students. Facilities for indoor and outdoor games are available, which promote the physical well-being of students. A gym is available for fitness enthusiasts. SAKEC does not have on-campus hostel facilities. However, students can find accommodation in nearby areas like Govandi and Chembur. The college assists by providing information on available options. Overall, SAKEC strives to provide a comprehensive environment that supports both academic pursuits and personal development.
Faculty: Shah and Anchor Kutchhi Engineering College (SAKEC) is recognised for its qualified and supportive faculty members. Students have noted that professors are helpful and guide them through various processes, including placements. The course curriculum at SAKEC is designed with industry relevance in mind. The college emphasises skill enhancement for sustainable development in specialised domains, such as VLSI Design and Technology. This focus aims to prepare students for employment, higher education, and entrepreneurship.
Other: The course which I choose is overall the best and the placements of ECS are quite high.

Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) - Batch of 2022

Average - go for it only if you live in Navi Mumbai and don't want to travel a lot.
Placements: If you can get a better option, then do not come here. I have not seen the top companies coming out here; it may be average for MBA courses but not for other courses. Do not expect a good package after completing your studies at this place. It has quite a reputation but the reality is different.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is pretty basic. The curriculum is also average. Benches are broken. Mics for lectures do not work. Old classrooms. Collects a good amount of money and donations but hardly anything on infrastructure. Not a great college at all.
Faculty: Annual fests are pretty nice. Exams and curriculum are decent. Teachers are qualified. The curriculum is not that great. Lecturers hardly seem to care. They do their jobs and leave. Though they are available for doubt-solving,. The college seems to be more invested in festivals.

B.Sc. in Computer Science - Batch of 2026
Offered by Sanpada College of Commerce and Technology

A Review Of The Sanpada College Of Commerce And Technology .
Placements: Sanpada College of Commerce and Technology (SCCT) offers a B.Sc. in Computer Science programme. While placement data can vary year to year, generally, a significant percentage of students secure placements with reputable IT companies. Key Highlights:Placement Opportunities: A strong placement record with a good percentage of students securing jobs. Top Recruiters: Includes well-known IT companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, and potential others. Salary Range: Offers a decent salary range with a competitive average package. Internship Opportunities: Provides internship opportunities in various IT companies, giving students valuable industry experience.
Infrastructure: The SCCT hostel offers varying levels of accommodation, with options ranging from single rooms to dormitories. The mess provides meals with varying degrees of quality and a range of options, while the canteen offers snacks and beverages. Basic medical facilities are available on campus, and students have access to sports facilities and opportunities to participate in sporting events.
Faculty: Quality of teaching at SCCT varies depending on the individual faculty member. Some professors are highly qualified and experienced, delivering engaging lectures and providing valuable guidance. However, the quality of teaching can be consistent across subjects. The curriculum generally covers core computer Science concepts but may not always align perfectly with the latest industry trends. While it equips students with foundation knowledge, additional efforts might be required to gain specific industry-ready skills. The difficult of semester exams can range from moderate to challenging, depending on the subject and the professor.
Other: I chose the B.Sc. Computer Science course at SCCT primarily because of my strong interest in technology and its rapidly evolving landscaped. The prospect of learning about programming, software development, and emerging technologies like artificial intelligence and data Science deeply intrigued me. The best aspects of this course include the opportunity to gain a strong foundation in core computer Science principles, hands-on experience through practical assignments and projects, and exposure to industry-relevant technologies. The faculty, while varying in quality, includes some experienced professionals who bring valuable industry insights to the classroom.

B.E. in Electronics and Computer Science - Batch of 2026
Offered by Vivekanand Education Society’s Institute of Technology
3.2

Helpful but not knowleagable faculty, good placements for CS related branch, good infrastructure.
Placements: My batch electronics and computer science is our first batch. It was started in 2022, so ours will be the first one for placements next year. The ETRX branch which was previously named, in that batch 4 students have been placed out of 60, so almost 7%. The highest salary package offered is 4.5 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 3 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Deloitte and TCS. Around 30% of students got internships at companies like Berkeley, Cognizant, etc. Top roles offered are analyst and consultant.
Infrastructure: The Wi-Fi and AC is not present in classroom, labs are equipped with AC but no Wi-Fi and the library has a very poor quality Wi-Fi but decent infrastructure and AC. The quality of facilities available in hostel is decent as they are partnered with stanza living. The mess and canteen quality is good and medical facilities are available on demand, also there is a turf for football and a ground fir cricket and other events.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful but not qualified and knowledgeable. Only few are good at teaching and the teaching quality is poor. The course curriculum is very revelant as the college is autonomous and it makes the students industry ready. The semester exams are also very easy due to the college being autonomous. The passing percentage is 95% as each sem almost 1~2 students drop out from a batch of 60.
Other: My batch is ECS for year 2022-2026, I choose this course because I liked both hardware and software. The best things is that ECS remains one of the best branch for doing Masters. I wish that our faculty can be improvise. The events and fests are mostly organised by students and mostly campus crowd attend it. Campus crowd is decent, connectivity is bad from railway station. The campus is good but short in size although everything is well maintained including the bathrooms. Various scholarships are given to students with 7+ CGPA.

Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS) - Batch of 2024
Offered by Chandrabhan Sharma College of Arts Commerce and Science

Absolutely dissatisfied with the college providing no placements and having higher fees.
Placements: Only sales and call centre jobs were offered by small firms that visited for the placements. The packages offered ranged between 15000 to 20000 only. There is no special placements cell in the college. The teachers just share the jobs on WhatsApp groups and the students apply from there.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of the college is decent. They don't have their own ground. The canteen is always closed and no hostel facility is provided by the college. The college supports sports only if you are already good at it. The classrooms and labs are good with the teachers using projectors to teach.
Faculty: Majority teachers are good but a few of them come only to pass time. They don't bother about the students understanding anything, they don't even complete their portion on time. The students have to rely upon themselves to study for the exams regarding a few subjects, the rest are good.

Yes, a student who dropped Physics in the 11th standard under the CISCE Board can still apply for B.Sc. programs at colleges under Mumbai University, as long as they meet the specific eligibility criteria for the course they are interested in.
