STEP 1: VIT Vellore BDes Application Process 2024
The mode of application is online for BDes. Candidates need to pay an application fee of INR 1,350. Find below the steps to apply for VIT Vellore BDes:
Step 1.1: Visit the official website of VIT Vellore, https://vit.ac.in/.
Step 1.2: On its homepage, click on the 'Admission' tab and further click on 'Undergraduate Programmes'.
Step 1.3: Hover to the required course and click on 'Apply Now'.
Step 1.4: Register with valid login credentials, including email ID and mobile number.
Step 1.5: Fill out the remaining application form with other required details.
Step 1.6: Pay the application fee and upload the documents.
Step 1.7: Submit the form.

The following documents are required to be scanned and uploaded while filling VIT Vellore application form:
- Age proof certificate/ Aadhaar Card
- Class 12 hall ticket (for result awaited candidates)

STEP 2: Selection Rounds
VIT Vellore shortlists candidates for BDes programme based on UCEED score. VIT conducts VIT DAT for students who have not attended UCEED exams. VIT-DAT is a written exam of two hours duration consisting of objective-type questions. Candidates shortlisted based on entrance exam are further called for a personal interview round. Candidates also need to present portfolio for selection. Below is the selection weightage:

STEP 3: Merit List
VIT Vellore will prepare a merit list based on Class 12 marks and a valid UCEED score.
STEP 4: Counselling
The shortlisted applicants will be called for counselling (virtual or physical). Candidates who has qualified and has been called for counselling does not guarantee admission to him/ her. This depends upon the performance in the interview/ skill test and the availability of seats. The final list will be prepared based on the performance in the interview/ skill test at the time of counselling.
