JEE Advanced AAT 2025 will be held in June 2025 as a pen-and-paper-based test of 3 hours. The candidates will be evaluated on their knowledge in General Knowledge, Geometry Drawing, 3D Aspects, Freehand Drawing, Imagination and Aesthetic Sensitivity. The final date to submit the AAT application form 2025 will be in the first week of June. No separate AAT 2025 admit card will released. Candidates will be required to present their JEE Advanced 2025 admit card at the centres to attempt the examination. Read to know more about AAT 2025.AAT 2025 results will be announced soon after the exam. The qualifying status for the examination has been released through the AAT result 2025. Qualified candidates will be eligible for BArch admissions into IIT Roorkee, IIT Kharagpur and IIT Varanasi. 

Q:   I have not qualified JEE Advanced. Can I still apply for AAT?

A:

No. To be eligible for AAT, all of the candidates are required to have attempted and qualified JEE Advanced. Only those candidates who have secured the minimum passing marks in JEE Advanced will be able to log in and register for AAT. For AAT registration process, the candidates will have to provide their registration number and date of birth. Without the credentials, the candidates will not be able to register for AAT. No offline applications will be accepted.

Q:   When will AAT 2025 be held?

A:

The authorities conducted AAT 2025 in June 2025. The entrance examination will be held from 9 AM to 12 Noon for all eligible and registered candidates. AAT 2025 will be held as a pen-and-paper-based test and the candidates have to complete the examination within 3 hours. The examination will be held in English and the candidates will be assessed in their knowledge of General Knowledge, Geometry Drawing,  3D Aspects,  Freehand Drawing,  Imagination and Aesthetic Sensitivity.

Q:   When will AAT 2025 application form be available?

A:

AAT 2025 application form will be available online. The eligible candidates will be able to access the AAT application form 2025 at jeeadv.ac.in. The final date to fill out and submit the application form of AAT 2025 will be in June. No applications will be accepted after the final date. Candidates will be able to access the AAT application form online at jeeadv.ac.in. Since there will be less time provided to register for AAT 2025, the candidates are advised to complete the process as soon as possible.

What is AAT?

The Architecture Aptitude Test (AAT) is conducted every year for the candidates who wish to take admitted to the BArch programme offered by the IIT Kharagpur, IIT Varanasi and IIT Roorkee. One of the most important eligibility for appearing in the AAT is to qualify JEE Advanced. However, it is important for every candidate to note that admission to undergraduate architecture courses will not be as on AAT rank or score rather it will be based on the candidate’s rank in JEE Advanced.

AAT 2025 Result

AAT 2025 result has been released. The authorities can check the AAT result 2025 online at jeeadv.ac.in. Through the result of AAT 2025, the candidates can check their qualifying status for the examination. For future reference, the candidates are advised to download and print out the AAT result.

Q:   Will my AAT scores be considered for BArch admissions into IITs?

A:

No. AAT scores will not be considered for BArch admissions into IITs. The candidates are just required to qualify AAT to be eligible for admissions. During the allotment process, the candidate's qualifying status in AAT and JEE Advanced ranks will be taken into consideration by the authorities. Therefore, the candidates are required to accordingly submit their choice of colleges for BArch admissions during the counselling process.

Q:   Which details will be available in the AAT result?

A:

Through the AAT result, the candidates will be able to check important information relevant for their counselling and admission process. Along with personal details, the result of AAT will consist of the candidate's registration number, category and examination qualifying status. The scores obtained in the entrance examination will not be provided in the AAT result. Only the qualifying status is required for BArch admissions into the participating IITs.

Q:   Where can I access the AAT result?

A:

AAT result will be released online at jeeadv.ac.in. No other mode will be used to declare the result of AAT. To access the AAT result, the candidates will have to provide their JEE Advanced registration number, date of birth and mobile number. After logging in, the candidates will be able to check the qualifying status for the counselling and admission process. No scores will be provided in the AAT result.

AAT 2025 Counselling

Candidates who qualify AAT 2025 will have to participate in the JoSAA 2025 counselling and seat allotment process. During the process, the candidates will have to register and fill in their choice of colleges and courses. Allotment of seats will be done based on the candidate's rank, preferences and availability of seats. After the allotment is announced, the candidates will have to complete the admission process within the given timeline.

Q:   Is JoSAA counselling fees refundable?

A:

Seat acceptance fee, once paid, is not refundable. However, if a candidate later validly withdraws from the seat allocation process, then the seat acceptance fee paid will be refunded after deducting the JoSAA withdrawal processing charges of INR 7000. If a candidate’s seat is cancelled due to not meeting the eligibility criteria or due to unresolved discrepancy(ies) in the uploaded document(s), then the seat acceptance fee paid will be refunded after deducting the JoSAA processing charges of Rs. 5000. However, in general, the refund policies for counselling fees may vary depending on the institution and the specific circumstances surrounding the payment. It is best to check the official website of JoSAA or contact their helpline for the most up-to-date information on their refund policies.

Q:   What to do after Registration in JoSAA?

A:

After completing registration in JoSAA, candidates need to fill in their choices of branches and colleges in order of preference. According to the qualifications of candidates, the available choices for admission will be listed. Once the choices are entered, candidates will be able to arrange them according to their preference by selecting "Arrange Filled Choices".

AAT 2025 Application Form

The authorities will release the AAT 2025 application form online. All eligible candidates will have to fill out and submit the JEE Advanced AAT 2025 application form until the final date. During the AAT 2025 application process, the candidates have to register, check the displayed details and select their choice of exam centre from the available list. If the candidates do not submit the application form before the final date, then they will not be allowed to attempt the examination.

Q:   Will I be able to select my choice of centre during the AAT application process?

A:

Yes. During the AAT registration process, the candidates will be able to select their choice of exam centre. Once the candidates are logged in, the candidates will have to select their choice of exam centre from the available list. It is to be noted that the selection of centre has to be done in the order of preference. Since the exam centre allotment will be done based on the candidate's preferences and availability, the candidates are advised ot be careful.

Q:   I made a mistake in my AAT application form. Can I make the changes?

A:

No. The candidates will not be able to make any changes once the AAT application form is submitted. Since the authorities provide less time for the candidates to complete the AAT registration, they are advised to carefully and quickly complete the process so that they are registered for the entrance examination. No correction facility will be provided. In case of any mistakes or problems in the AAT application form, the candidates are advised to immediately contact the authorities.

AAT 2025 Syllabus

AAT 2025 syllabus is released online at jeeadv.ac.in. Through the AAT syllabus 2025, the candidates can check the list of topics that are required to be studied for the entrance exam. Candidates are advised to check the syllabus carefully to plan out their preparation process and have a higher chance of securing good marks in the entrance examination. AAT syllabus consists of topics that will assess the candidate's freehand drawing, geometrical drawing, three-dimensional perception, architectural awareness, imagination and aesthetic sensitivity.

AAT 2025 Exam Pattern

The authorities have released the AAT 2025 exam pattern. Candidates can check the details on how the entrance examination will be conducted through the AAT exam pattern 2025. According to the AAT exam pattern, the authorities will conduct AAT as a pen-and-paper-based test. The total duration of the examination will be for 3 hours. A:

No. The authorities will conduct AAT offline i.e., as a pen-and-paper-based test. The candidates will have to attempt the examination offline by marking the answers in the OMR sheet or drawing the answers. No other mode will be used to conduct AAT. The examination will be prepared to assess the candidate's General Knowledge,  Geometry Drawing,  3D Aspects,  Freehand Drawing and Imagination and Aesthetic Sensitivity.

Q:   What is the division of questions in AAT exam pattern?

A:

AAT paper is divided into five sections. The total number of questions available in the paper will be different for every section. For Geometry Drawing, 3D Aspects, Freehand Drawing and Imagination and Aesthetic Sensitivity, there will be 3 questions in each section. However, for the General Knowledge section, the candidates will have to answer 4 questions. The total number of questions in the AAT paper are 16 questions.

AAT 2025 Preparation Tips

Some of the important preparation tips for AAT 2025 have been given below.

  • Firstly, the candidates were advised to know their syllabus and exam pattern of AAT 2025 well. This helped them to know what had to be studied and how the examination would be conducted.
  • A personalized timetable had to be prepared so that the candidates were able to cover the entire syllabus well before the examination.
  • Mock tests had to be conducted regularly so that the candidates understood their commonly made mistakes and worked on them.
  • Revision had to be done to not forget whatever was studied by the candidates.

AAT 2025 Admit Card

The authorities will not release the AAT admit card 2025. Candidates are required to present their JEE Advanced 2025 admit card at the examination centre. Without the admit card, the candidates will not allowed to enter the exam centre. Details regarding the allotted exam centre and other instructions were given to the candidates separately. JEE Advanced 2025 admit card was released online.

Q:   Will AAT admit card be released?

A:

No. The authorities will not release AAT admit card. The candidates will have to present their JEE Advanced admit card at the examination centre. Therefore, the candidates are advised to keep their JEE Advanced admit card carefully since it will be required during the AAT admission process. If the candidates are not able to present the admit card and identity proof to the authorities at the centre, then they will not be allowed to attempt the examination.

Q:   What do I have to carry to the AAT exam centre?

A:

While reporting at the AAT exam centre, the candidates will have to carry their JEE Advanced admit card. Along with the admit card, the candidates will also have to present their photo identity proof to the invigilators. In case the candidates are not able to present their JEE Advanced admit card and identity proof, then they will not be allowed to attempt the examination. Therefore, the candidates are advised to read the guidelines carefully before reporting to the exam centre.

Q:   When will the JEE Advanced admit card for the coming session be released?

The JEE Advanced 2025 admit card will be issued a few days before the exam day. The exam will be held on May 2025, tentatively. The conducting IIT will release JEE Advanced admit card under the respective logins of the registered candidates at jeeadv.ac.in. To login, candidates have to use their JEE Main 2025 application number and date of birth. The JEE Advanced admit card 2025 will be available for download until exam day. The exam date, time, reporting time, exam centre venue and all important instructions for exam day will be mentioned on the JEE Advanced 2025 admit card.

The Ashoka Aptitude Test is conducted in several sessions at different times throughout the year. It is advisable that candidates start preparing for the entrance exam at least two months is advance. For instance, if your exam is to be conducted in December, you should start preparations in October.

The JEE Advanced AAT is required for admission to BArch programs at IIT Varanasi, IIT Roorkee, and IIT Kharagpur. To gain admission to architecture at any of these IITs, candidates must first qualify for JEE Main, followed by JEE Advanced, and then pass the AAT.
