University of Engineering & Management (UEM) aims to provide an international ambience and exposure for all the students studying there. The University generally organises a number of events for the betterment of the students. Some of the recent events organised by the University are:

Workshops for Electronics and Electrical Engineers: ETE Sponsored Workshop for Electronics and Electrical Engineers on "Latest trends" was organised on 6th September 2019 (Friday) at the Seminar Hall of the University of Engineering & Management (UEM), Jaipur.

Dr. Anju Gupta, Associate Professor, Department of Electrical Engineering, J. C. Bose University of Science and Technology (YMCA), Faridabad spoke for almost an hour on Emerging trends of Electronics and Electrical Engineers. Followed by Dr. Kuldeep Singh, Assistant Professor, Department of ECE, Malviya National Institute of Technology (MNIT), Jaipur who spoke on Deep learning. Dr. Rajendra Mitharwal, Assistant Professor, Department of ECE, Malviya National Institute of Technology (MNIT), Jaipur concluded by speaking on Advanced Computational Techniques in Electromagnetics. The certificates were distributed to all the participants. However, the last date of registration was 5th September 2019 (within 5 pm).

2-Day Workshops on Building Information Modelling: The department of Civil Engineering, University of Engineering and Management, Jaipur organised a 2 days Workshop on Building Information Modelling on 11th and 12th September 2019 in association with Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) and AECO Technostruct Pvt LTD, Technostruct LLC, leading Engineering & Technology firm headquartered in California USA.

  The training covered AutoCAD 2D+3D, AutoCAD MEP, Revit, Navisworks, clash coordination, clash detection, understanding of software and design, understanding of US codes and few other relevant topics, helpful for the students in their professional career. The senior design engineers from Technostruct also discussed the latest trends in Green Building Design.  

Webinar by Dr. Allabaksh Naikodi: University of Engineering & Management (UEM), Jaipur, IEEE UEMJ STUDENT Branch and Dept. of Electronics & Communication Engineering, UEM JAIPUR organised a Webinar by Dr. Allabaksh Naikodi at the UEM Jaipur premises on 11th September 2019 on the topic “IoT landscape in E-Vehicles/Mobility.”

Dr. Allabaksh Naikodi, with over 32 years of experience is presently heading the Advanced Technology Department of Mahindra Electric - the Electric Vehicle Company of Mahindra. He obtained a Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Madras(Chennai), India in 1995. 

  Dr. Allabaksh Naikodi is a member of many technical committees including the expert committee - Govt. of India for EV sub-systems development and BIS ETD51 for charging systems. He has filed several patents in EV Technologies.  

Webinar by Eminent Speaker Dr. Suparna Bhattacharya: University of Engineering & Management (UEM), Jaipur ACM Student Chapter and Dept. of Computer Science & Engineering, UEM Jaipur is organising an Eminent Speaker Webinar by Dr. Suparna Bhattacharya, Distinguished Technologist, Hewlett-Packard Enterprise Storage CTO office at the UEM Jaipur premises on 13th September 2019. The topic of the event is “Big data analytics: When will system software catch up?”

Dr. Suparna Bhattacharya holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Automation from the Indian Institute of Science and a B.Tech from IIT Kharagpur. She worked at IBM from 1993-2014, delving into operating systems and file-system internals on various platforms. She made her foray into the Linux kernel in 2000 and got introduced to the joys of working on open source. Her contributions to Linux span multiple areas and she was regularly invited to chair sessions at the Linux Kernel Summit, a by-invitation-only event where key contributors of the Linux Kernel get together to decide the future roadmap of the Kernel.
