A. Some of the popular aviation courses in India are -

Q. Can I join an aviation course after 12th?

A. Yes, there are many diploma, certificate and degree courses available in aviation after class 12th. After completing their 12th grade or receiving their degree, students can continue their aviation studies. Admissions to aviation courses are made either on the basis of class 12 grades with an overall average of 50% in physics, chemistry, and arithmetic or through entrance tests for common management programmes.

Q. Is JEE required for a BSc aviation course?

A. No, there is no entrance examination for admission to the BSc Aviation course.

For admission to BE/BTech, BArch, and BPlan programmes at NITs, IIITs, and other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs), as well as institutions/universities supported/recognized by participating State Governments, the Joint Entrance Examination, or JEE Main, is held. JEE Advanced, which is given for IIT entrance, is also an eligibility test for JEE Main.

Q. What to study to become a pilot?

A. In order to become a pilot, candidates are required to qualify their graduation degree in Aeronautical Engineering or similar aviation course. Candidates with the science stream are eligible to apply for the course. If you want to become a pilot, you can enrol in a pilot training programme after you finish high school or pass the NDA exam to receive training as an Air Force pilot. The primary prerequisite for becoming a pilot after your 12th grade year is having finished your 10+2 in Science, but many pilot training institutes also admit commerce students. In India, you must be at least 17 years old to pursue a career as a pilot, and you must also present a fitness and medical certificate.

A. Candidates are required to take any Aviation course like BBA in Airport Management or other similar aviation course to get a job in the aviation industry. 

The three-year, six-semester Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Airport Management undergraduate programme covers topics like passenger forecasting, airport planning, aerodrome construction, security at airports, and fire safety.

A. The average cost of a CPL aviation course is between INR 20 Lakhs to INR 50 Lakhs depending on the college and course.

A. According to ambitionbox.com, the average annual salary of an IndiGo Pilot in India is INR 57.8 Lakhs. The annual salary of a Pilot at IndiGo ranges between INR 30 Lakhs to INR 85 Lakhs.

A. The fee of pilot training in India is about INR 35-40 lacs from a DGCA approved flight school.

The full-time Diploma in Aviation programme lasts from 6 months to 1 year and focuses on managing airports and the aviation industry. The minimal requirement for obtaining an aviation diploma is 10+2 or an equivalent grade from an approved board. In the class 12 exam, they must receive at least a 50% passing grade.
