It has good teaching staff members and providing knowledge is the ultimate goal here.
Placements: In the CSE branch, around 93% of students get placed in the 2023-2024 academic year. The highest salary package offered for CSE is 13 LPA, but in the 2024-2025 academic year, it is increased to above 35 LPA. The average salary package offered for CSE students in the 2023-2024 academic year is around 8 LPA. Top recruiting companies like Adobe, Deloitte, Tech Mahindra, etc., visit the college for placements.
Infrastructure: The quality of food served is good. Bathrooms are not cleaned regularly. The ratio of bathrooms to students is 1:10 so they should clean bathrooms twice a week.
Faculty: The teaching quality at NIT Mizoram is very well. Teachers solve the doubts of students regularly. Due to the number of students, teachers can easily understand the level of students. The course curriculum is designed very well. The end semester exam is easy but due to less time, many students got average marks. For every subject out of 100 marks, students should get above 34 marks to pass. For the CSE course, there are good teachers for teaching languages.
Other: I chose the CSE branch in my B.Tech because nowadays software knowledge is involved in every field. I am interested in learning about how computers work and how software runs.

There is nothing good in this college. There are no exposure.
Placements: Last year placements were very good with median package of 9.8 Lacs and it's getting better year by year. Almost 100% placements take place last year in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, and placement cell is very good.
Infrastructure: There is no permanent campus. They have rented all the buildings. Hostels are 7 to 13 km away and they provide bus services to academic blocks. Canteen facility is provided. Medical facilities is also very good. They will help you in need. Ambulance service is also available.
Faculty: Teachers are very knowledgeable. They have achieved very much in their field. They are very helpful in all cases. The curriculum makes us industry ready. Semester examination are quite tough but we can easily score by a little bit of study. Minimum CGPA is 4 to pass.

Decent placements, no campus life.
Placements: Around 30 students were placed. The highest package was around 15 LPA, the average package was around 8 LPA. Some top recruiters were Tech Mahindra, Deloitte, Alstom, Unacademy, Lumiq, etc. The placement percentage was lower this year as compared to last year due to the recession.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure in and of itself is good enough, but the academic blocks are far apart, so sometimes we need to walk a lot. The Wi-Fi is very good; we get a speed of around 200 Mbps on average, topping at 600 Mbps with ethernet. The labs are well-equipped, so there are no problems conducting experiments. The library is good; it's very quiet in there, good for people who want to study at the library. The Wi-Fi there is good as well. The hostel is decent as you get more space in rooms as compared to other NITs and IITs because the number of students is less. The food quality is average; don't expect too much.
Faculty: The teachers are qualified and knowledgeable, but that does not translate into their lectures, just like other colleges; they won't provide you with a clear understanding. The course curriculum is the same as any other NIT and IIT; it is relevant but includes some irrelevant subjects as well. The semester exams are of an average level; you can score well even with one day of preparation.
Other: I chose computer science because it is easier to get a job in this field with a good skill set. The course would have been better off with some irrelevant subjects removed. Fests are organized every year like cultural fest, sports fest, tech fest, etc.

College is improving. They are working on their placements.
Placements: 81% of students are placed in the CSE branch. The highest package is 14 LPA, the lowest is 5 LPA, and the average was 7.6 LPA last year. Top recruiting companies are Adobe and Cognizant. About 35 percent of students get internships in companies like Microsoft and TCS. Usually developers are the top role according to student knowledge.
Infrastructure: The facilities are good and improving day by day. But hostel infrastructure is not fine for 1st year; its under construction. Labs are good but wifi in the hostel is not good. You usually find all books in the library for the CSE branch. The quality of food is improving but is not so good.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful , qualified, and have good knowledge. CSE is relevant but you have to make yourself good. Yes, semester exams are tough, not coming what they taught you in class. 35% is the passing mark out of 100 to pass. But this year, they are doing relative grading.
Other: I chose CSE because it's a developing field, and the best part is that more companies hire developers if you're good at it. I think they should remove unnecessary things that aren't relevant for the future. Events happen occasionally, and fests are average. There's no campus as of now, and connectivity is poor. Scholarships are provided, and extracurricular activities are available.

Review of computer science engineering from NIT, Mizoram.
Placements: NIT's holds good records for placements. Around 60–65% of the students gets successfully placed at the NIT Mizoram. The average package offered at the college for computer science was between 4 and 8 LPA. Top recruiters at the college were Wipro, TCS, Tech Mahindra, Infosys, Deloitte, Accenture, etc. The top roles offered in our course are web developers, software developers, data analysts, etc.
Infrastructure: NIT Mizoram had very good infrastructure for our course. The campus of the college was pretty big and beautiful. College management offers facilities such as computer labs, libraries, canteens, Wi-Fi, sports, etc. that are properly maintained. The quality of these facilities was also good. A hostel facility was also available for the students. The food in the mess was also good to eat.
Faculty: The faculty at the college was really good. All the teachers at the college were well qualified and knowledgeable. They were offering the best-quality teaching to the students. The course curriculum followed at our college in CSE is relevant, which makes the students industry-ready. Exams at the college were moderate to difficult.

A:

Candidates preparing for IITs are only required to appear for the JEE Advanced entrance exam after qualifying JEE Main. Students who who secure above the 98th percentile in JEE Main 2024 Session 2 should start preparing for JEE Advanced 2025 immediately. Those who score between 95th and 98th percentile should focus on improving their JEE Main score by taking multiple mock tests and practicing previous year's question papers. By analysing their strengths and weaknesses, candidates can identify their areas of proficiency and topics where they need improvement.
