SET BBA 2026 Preparation Tips for Class 12 Students
The SET exam preparation plan for Class 12 students should be divided into phases. Such as:
- First 3 months should be given to complete the SET exam syllabus and clear the basics. Students should study using their NCERT books, short notes, SET preparation books, and other study materials.
- The next 1 month should be dedicated to preparation using SET mock tests and PYQs. Students can practice for the SET exam using sectional mock tests in timed settings.
- The last month of SET exam preparation 2026 should be given to practicing extensively and revising all that has been studied.

No, the SET exam cannot be given remotely. Every year the SET exam is conducted in the computer-based test mode. In 2021, the exam was however conducted in the internet-based test mode because of the coronavirus pandemic. Ever since, the SET exam has always been conducted in the computer-based test mode (CBT). To take the exam, candidates have to visit the SET exam centre and take the exam online. They can choose upto three preferred SET test cities during the SET exam registration. Candidates must reach the test centre at least an hour before the commencement of the exam in order to avoid any hassle on the exam and complete the frisking formalities at the exam GATE smoothly.
The SET exam will be conducted from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Candidates should ideally reach the exam centre at least an hour before the exam starts. Hence, candidates must reach the exam centre on the time mentioned on the admit card in order to avoid any hassle. The gates will close at 11:00 AM for the SET exam. Candidates will not be allowed to enter after this. To complete the frisking formalities at the GATE and be seated by 11:20 AM, candidates should reach the centre on time. They can also leave the SET exam centre only once the exam is over.

How to Prepare for SET Exam 2026 in Six Months: Knowing SET Exam Syllabus
The SET question paper comprises four sections namely, General English, Quantitative Ability, General Awareness and Analytical Ability & Logical Reasoning. Having an in-depth knowledge of the SET exam syllabus will help the students to know the important topics and ultimately help them manage their time accordingly. The General English section will test the candidates’ hold on the English language and grammar. The Quant section will be all about the mathematics that you studied in Class 10 and Class 12. To ace the General Knowledge section, read the daily newspaper, be aware of current affairs and learn the important dates and events of history. The last section of the SET question paper will judge the students on their critical and analytical skills. Questions related to blood relations, syllogisms, Venn Diagrams, arrangement, coding and decoding, etc. will together form this section.

The important documents to be carried to the exam centre include the following:
- Two coloured printouts of the SET admit card
- Photos of the candidate affixed to the SET admit card (preferrable the same as the one uploaded in SET application form)
- Valid photo ID proof (issued by the Government of India) such as Passport, Aadhar Card, Driving License, Pan Card, etc.
- Black or blue ball point pen
- Hand sanitizer

Here are some month-wise preparation tips on how to prepare for SET exam in six months:
First Two Months: Complete the syllabus
Start your SET preparation by working on the basic concepts of the Quant and Logical Reasoning sections. Make the most use of the first two months on studying the concepts, theories and formulae of all the topics listed under these sections. Make small notes and watch videos related to these sections to clear the concepts. Also, start with the sections which you find the most difficult. Also, while you are learning the concepts, make the newspaper your best friend. Give a good enough time to the newspaper and be updated with the latest news and trends. Try to make a weekly plan and follow it with dedication. Make a target of studying two to three hours daily for the first two months. Focus on Arithmetic for the Quant section and start with solving simple puzzles for the Logical Reasoning section. Also, practice comprehension passages to prepare for the General English section of the Symbiosis SET exam. By the second month, target taking one sectional mock test per week to track progress after the completion of syllabus.
