SET Exam 2025: Exam Day Checklist
Thoroughly read the guidelines shared by Symbiosis International University regarding the SET exam day strategy. For a hassle-free exam, you need to know the SET Exam Dos and Don’ts. It is very important that the aspirant not only read the instructions carefully but also understand and remember them on exam day.
- SET Admit Card: The SET admit card 2025 is the most important document that must be carried to the exam centre. Candidates appearing for the Symbiosis Entrance Test must take a coloured printout of the SET admit card at least a day before the exam date. Please Note: Candidates must carry a coloured copy of the SET admit card as black and white admit cards will not be accepted. The admit card must be printed on A4 size paper such that the candidates’ photos are clearly visible. SET admit card will be available for download on the official SET website. The admit card is also an important document needed for the verification process. Candidates who are appearing for two sessions must carry two different admit cards with them to the exam centre.
- SET Exam Centre: Candidates are expected to reach the SET exam centre at least one hour before the commencement of the exam. Reaching prior to the exam time will help in completing the verification process quickly and easily. Candidates from another city must check the location of the exam centre a day before the exam. Candidates appearing for SET 2025 must note that they will not be allowed to enter the exam hall after 11:15 AM. The exam will begin at 11:30 AM. Therefore, the candidates must aim to reach the centre by 10:00 AM. Candidates also need to get their SET admit card 2025 stamped. If the admit card is lost no duplicate admit card will be issued.
- ID Proof: Candidates must carry a valid photo ID proof issued by the Government of India such as an Aadhaar card, PAN card, Voter Id, Passport and Driving license for the verification process. They must carry the original ID proof along with a photocopy. The scanned copy will not be accepted. The photo of the candidate on the ID proof should be clearly visible and should match the photo on the SET admit card.
- Stay Calm: The most important guideline for the SET exam day is staying calm and confident throughout. A calm mind will help you tackle the questions easily and score well in SET 2025. Read the instructions given on the SET question paper calmly and carefully before attempting the exam.
Dos and Don’ts on SET Exam Day

SET 2025 Exam Day Guidelines to be Followed at the Baggage Area
Candidates must adhere to the following instructions at the Baggage area:
- Sanitize your hands after entering the exam centre
- A limited number of candidates will be allowed at the baggage area at a given point of time.
- Candidates can carry only a mask, gloves, ballpoint pen, hand sanitiser, transparent water bottle, hall ticket and ID proof inside the exam hall.
- The lab number will be informed by the volunteer at the time of verification.

Following are the guidelines which the students who appeared for the SET exam 2025 should follow:
- Candidates must drop the exception form, if any, in the drop box outside the lab
- Rough sheets must be dropped in a separate drop box outside the lab.

- Do not dispose of used masks and gloves at the centre or outside the gate.

Q: When is the Symbiosis entrance exam for BBA?
The Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET) is a national-level entrance test conducted for admission to various undergraduate courses provided by Symbiosis International (Deemed University). Usually, the SET exam is conducted in the first or second week of May every year. The SET exam date varies each year and is released along with the complete SET exam schedule on the official website. The SET exam is usually conducted only once a year. The SET admission cycle generally concludes in a month or two.
In 2024, the SET exam was conducted on two days in the computer-based test mode across 80 cities in the country. The exam was conducted on May 5, 2024, and May 11, 2024.
Q: Will the SET BBA exam be conducted in double shifts?
No, the SET 2024 exam will be conducted in a single shift. However, in 2020, the SET exam was conducted in the remote-proctored mode in order to follow the social distancing guidelines for COVID-19, and the students had the option to choose the exam slot according to their preference and convenience. SET exam pattern was also changed after 2020. SET exam is usually conducted in single shift for one hour, i. e. from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM. The exam was however conducted on two days, i. e. May 6 and May 14 in 2023.

SET exam is held in about 80 test cities across the country. An applicant can select up to three test cities during the SET application process. They should choose the test city carefully as the request to change the test city later may or may not be accepted due to non-availability of seats at the centres in that particular city. Q: What are the dos on the SET exam day?
On the SET exam day, candidates have to follow certain guidelines which include reaching on time, cooperating with the exam centre staff, following instructions of the test invigilator and following the test navigation for solving the SET questions. There are some key dos and don'ts that candidates should follow on the SET exam day, which have been listed below:

- PwD candidates should carry the relevant certificates and documents as prescribed by the examination authorities.

- Carry personal drinking water, hand sanitizer, face masks and gloves
- Cooperate with the test centre staff and follow instructions during entry
- Candidates must write their name and roll numbers on the rough sheet provided by the invigilator and sign on it
Q: What all items can I carry to the SET exam centre?
Every candidate must carry a blue/black ball point pen and a two copies of their passport size photo to the exam centre. They must not carry any stationary item other than the pen. Ever since the COVID-19 outbreak, SET candidates are required to carry drinking water, hand sanitizer, face mask and gloves along with them. Candidates have to carry drinking water in a transparent bottle. No other item will be allowed inside the exam venue. Candidates must not carry bags or valuables as there will be no arrangement for depositing while candidates appear for the exam. Candidates must also not carry notebooks or rough paper to the SET exam centre. Any candidate found with an unauthorised item will be disqualified.
