Q:   How effective is the placement cell for B.E. / B.Tech courses at Alamuri Ratnamala Institute of Engineering and Technology?

    A:
    {Source: B.E. / B.Tech students & alumni}

Effectiveness of Placement Cell for BE/BTech Courses at Alamuri Ratnamala Institute of Engineering and Technology

Based on the statements provided by students and alumni, here's a summary of the effectiveness of the placement cell:

    * Limited Placements: Many students mentioned that the college does not provide guaranteed placements, and the number of students placed is limited. For example, out of 180 students in a batch, only 7 students got internships.
    * No Industry Exposure: Students felt that the college did not provide sufficient exposure to the industry, making it difficult for them to secure placements. As one student stated, "The college does not provide any placements. If companies visit the college for recruitment, they will only hire you as an intern."
    * Lack of Guidance: Some students expressed frustration with the lack of guidance provided by the placement cell. For instance, one student noted, "We have to depend on off-campus placements only" and another said, "The college TPO notifies students regarding off-campus drives, but that's it."
    * Few Companies Visiting: Limited numbers of companies visit the college for recruitment, leading to limited placement opportunities. For example, one student mentioned, "Only about 1-2 training institutes visited and hired 6-7 students for training purposes."

However, some positive comments were made about the placement cell, such as:

    * Efforts Made: One student acknowledged that the college tries to provide maximum placements and internships for students. Another student praised the efforts of the Training and Placement Officer (TPO), saying, "They support us whenever we need them."
    * Good Salary Packages: Those who secured placements reported receiving decent salary packages, ranging from INR2.8 Lacs to INR3.6 Lacs per annum.

In conclusion, the placement cell at Alamuri Ratnamala Institute of Engineering and Technology appears to face challenges in providing timely and relevant placements for its students. While some students managed to secure internships or jobs, others struggled to find employment despite their best efforts.

It has lots of good as well as bad experiences.
Placements: In ARMIET, it is hard to get a job because it's in too rural area. That's why most of the famous companies, like MNCs, don't visit this college, and that's why the placement is very low here. But you can achieve your skills here to get into big companies. Placement is not that good here, but it's a likable college.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good, but there is no hostel in the college, so you have to take a PG for living. The college has a big campus, and also, the workshop is good for mechanical and civil students. The college also has a good mess for the students. The college is approximately 4 floors high and have tons of experience.
Faculty: The faculty is good; some are nice, but exam conducting is very strict. The teachers are a little less qualified, but they teach in a good way and explain everything in the native language instead of only English. You can ask any question at any time here to learn.
Other: You get many new experiences here, like how to study in one night and cover the whole syllabus, and also some IoT kit sessions are done here.

The college area is silent and connected with the river.
Placements: The percentage of placement is different for all branches. In computer engineering, there is a 50-60 percent placement rate, and it's increasing. The highest package of the college is 8 Lacs, and the lowest is 1.5 Lacs. There are many internships, and they give certificates after completing the internship. Everyone gets an internship here.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good, and the canteen provides food at a low price. The Wi-Fi has the best speed and is easily available for everyone. All classrooms have projectors and are well-maintained. The computer and other labs are the best and well-maintained. The college provides computers for Valorant, Call of Duty inter-college matches, and high-speed Wi-Fi for them.
Faculty: The teachers are good, and for hard subjects like mechanics and others, there are more than 1-2 teachers, and they help with studies at any time (even at night). The semester exams have medium difficulty, and the passing marks are 25-35%. The college makes students industry-ready by doing different courses.

Good for those who get low scores in entrance exams and who are willing to self-study.
Placements: The college does not provide a guarantee of placement, and the average placements are not very promising. It is important not to blindly rely on the college for job opportunities. However, if you are pursuing computer engineering, IT engineering, or Computer Science and Engineering [Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning], there is a higher chance of securing a placement.
Infrastructure: The college does not offer any hostel facility, so it is necessary for you to make your own arrangements. Although there are nearby options available, they are not provided by the college. The college boasts a good infrastructure. However, it is important to note that Wi-Fi service is not available in every classroom and the computer equipment is outdated, with a majority of it not even in working condition.
Faculty: The faculty members possess a friendly demeanor. While a few professors may lack teaching skills, others are truly exceptional. Additionally, there is a frequent turnover of professors. Some of them are not permanent staff members and only deliver lectures once a week, possibly working as freelancers in those particular subjects.

Value for money engineering college in Thane.
Placements: The average package offered is between 2.5 and 4.5 LPA. In the last two years, 30% of students were placed through on-campus placement. Many of the placed students were from the computer branch and were hired as developers and network administrators.
Infrastructure: The college facilities are average. There are many classrooms and labs, and most of the labs have internet access and LAN is available. The computer centers are working properly and are a good resource for students to practice and do practical work. However, the on-campus canteen is not good, and medical facilities are lacking.
Faculty: The faculty and staff are good and helpful to students. The curriculum is determined by Mumbai University, and unit tests and semester exams are conducted in accordance with university guidelines. The passing percentage is also determined by the university.
Other: I'm a student at Alamuri Ratnamala Institute of Engineering and Technology (ARMIET). I'm in the Computer Engineering branch, which is one of the most popular branches in the college. However, the staff and facilities for this branch are mostly inexperienced this year. I think the college should hire more experienced teachers and facilities.

Review of Alamuri Ratnamala Institute of Engineering and Technology.
Placements: There were around 80% students placed in my college based on their skills and performance. The highest package was 7.7 LPA and lowest was 4.6 LPA. The top companies for the civil engineering department were Eagle Infrastructure, Larsen and Toubro (L&T) , Lodha Shapoorji palonjiwala and Eshan Developers. I was offered the roles of civil site engineer in Eshan Developers.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure was good and there we students had proper labs and also each classroom has AC and Smart boards. Hostels were like an apartment; each room was a 1-bedroom flat, with every room having 4 students and mess food that was tasteful and the owner of the mess was quite a friendly person.
Faculty: The teachers were very helpful in my civil engineering department as we had very vast syllabus and less time to cover everything during every semester but teachers helped us time to time. Along with book knowledge, we were also given site knowledge, as there was a once-a-week site visit for students, which made us ready for jobs and industry.

All good, but have transport issues.
Placements: I am in the first year of engineering, and I got information about the placements from the seniors that companies like PhonePe, QuickSpider, etc., visit the campus for placements after the third semester. Many students also got internships with various IT companies. There is a placement department in the college that helps the student to get placed in companies.
Infrastructure: Outer appearance of the college is faint. But the condition of the classrooms is good; each classroom has projectors and a digital board. Wi-Fi is available in the whole college. There is a nice library. The quality of the canteen is very nice, and a conditioned gym is also there.
Faculty: All the faculty is helpful and graduated and post-graduated from recognized colleges. The whole course curriculum is average. It is conducted by the college. Semester exams' difficulty level is medium as it is conducted by Mumbai University. The passing percentage is 35%.
