Review of Amrita School of Engineering.
Placements: Every year, around 98% of students get placed. In my current year, the highest salary package offered was 52 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was 4 LPA. Companies like TCS, Flipkart, and L&T visit the campus. Students need to meet certain criteria, including having no backlogs, to attend campus placements.
Infrastructure: College has good infrastructure, with three hostel blocks and five academic blocks. The entire campus is covered by Wi-Fi. Every floor of the hostel and college has a drinking water facility, and there is a canteen available both on campus and in the hostel. A medical room is also available on campus.
Faculty: Faculty members are very knowledgeable with a minimum Ph.D. degree. They are friendly towards students. Coming to the curriculum each semester consists of 2-quizzes, one mid-term, one assignment, and one end-term exam. External will be conducted for 100 marks and weighed for 40 marks. Each quiz will be conducted for 15 marks and weighed for 7.5 marks, mid-term will be conducted for 50 marks and weighed for 30 marks. So total of 60 internal marks and 40 external marks.
Other: College has a good crowd. Regarding fests, there are no major events, but a few cultural fests are conducted by college clubs, along with other events. College provides full support for sports activities.

Amrita Bengaluru is in the top 10 colleges of Bengaluru but it is under-rated. I love this college.
Placements: In our course, as it is November now, our seniors are getting their placements. Almost 68% of them are already placed and as there is still time left, this will easily go up to 80 or 85%. The highest salary package offered was 38 LPA now, and the lowest salary package offered was 5 LPA. The average salary package offered was 9.8 LPA. Almost 40 to 50% of the students get internships through the college itself.
Infrastructure: College has good infrastructure and excellent facilities. All that we need is available. The hostel is not so good but it is affordable than other colleges. The mess food is good in terms of quality but bad in terms of taste. In hostel, Wi-Fi and other basic facilities are provided.
Faculty: Teaching faculty in our college are good and skillful. They are very approachable to us. They take care of students properly. Most of them are Ph.D. holders and doctorates as our college hires knowledgeable persons. The teaching quality is good I would say but can be improved. It is difficult for ECE guys here.
Other: Everything on the campus is so good and well organised. The crowd here is excellent. I would say there are specialists in every field, not only related to studies but also basic activities like sports. Everything required is available. Our college organises many fests, so students don't feel bored. Our college provides many opportunities and we can get a lot of connections over here.

Amrita college is an average college.
Placements: The placement was average this year since the market had a recession so the average salary went down. The CSE branch did well, but the other batch lacked. The average package was 9.47 lacs for my branch. 70% of people have been placed till now. Rest are still sitting in the college placement.
Infrastructure: I did not stay in a hostel but I heard that it wasn't that good. It may vary from person to person. Regarding the course, it was very basic and the infrastructure of the college is just above average. The labs were a bit outdated but they have been upgraded now.
Faculty: The faculty is okay but when it comes to supporting a student, they really lack in that area. The ECE depth was really rude sometimes. There are some really good teachers but the number is very limited. Your class advisory decides everything as to how things are going to go. The difficulty of the exams ranges from moderate to hard.

College where quality is assured and given utmost importance.
Placements: 75% of the 2024 batch is placed. The highest package is 45 LPA, the lowest is 2 LPA, and the average is 9 LPA. Companies like Microsoft, Volvo, TCS, IBM, and JLL recruit from here. Top roles offered by these companies include Software Developer, Data Analyst, SRE, Technical Support, Security Manager, Cloud Developer, and many more opportunities.
Infrastructure: All classrooms have Wi-Fi, and labs are separately managed. There are nearly 30+ types of labs, and one floor is dedicated entirely to the library. There are three different canteens, and a medical clinic is always available. There is also a huge ground for various outdoor games and a gym.
Faculty: Teachers are highly professional and knowledgeable. The quality is nearly 4.5/5, which is good. They assign various topic projects in different domains, which help us learn more. The course curriculum follows a structured pattern; each semester has 5-7 subjects depending on the domains.
Other: There are many clubs you can join to gain more experience and come up with problem statements for your courses, which is a critical requirement. Scholarships based on the AEEE exam are available, and many fests are conducted by this event every year.

The rules in the university are a bit tough.
Placements: The placements are quite decent. The highest package of the year 2022 was 37 LPA, and the average package is 6 LPA in the ECE branch. The highest package of CSE is 58.6 LPA, and the average package is 8 LPA. You are eligible for placements only if you score a GPA of 6.5 and above.
Infrastructure: You won't get various options in the hostel; you only get a sharing non-AC room with dimensions of 16*16 feet. The washrooms are also not attached to the room; they are common for everyone on the floor. You will only be served with vegetarian food, and non-vegetarian food is not available in the hostel.
Faculty: Most of the teachers you get have a doctorate degree, and they are very skillful and highly experienced. Additionally, you will have classes like "Foundations of Indian Heritage" and yoga twice a week, along with mental well-being courses like "Mastery Over Mind" (MAOM).
Other: There is only one fest and three cultural programs in a year.
