No candidate shall be allowed for admission after a lapse of more than 3 years from the year of passing the previous qualifying examination or discontinuation of recognized regular Course of Study after passing the previous qualifying examination. For the purpose of determining eligibility for admission to the Honours Course, aggregate marks shall be calculated by adding the marks in top-four subjects in order of marks secured by a candidate. However, marks in compulsory Environmental Education /Studies shall not be taken into account for calculation of aggregate marks. Candidate must have aggregate 50% However, Candidates belonging to the SC/ ST or OBC Community must have obtained a minimum of 40% marks in the aggregate.

The best government college in Kolkata. Excellent faculty, good placement.
Placements: I'm currently pursuing my bachelor's degree from ASU. The study environment is very good, and the professors are really great. Internships are provided in hospitals, health homes, and NGOs. Psychology provides multiple opportunities. Placements are given by renowned companies and institutes.
Infrastructure: Classrooms have the best facilities, and all the instruments are also present for experiments and research purposes. Every individual is guided and helped in performing experiments and studies. Mental health is looked after; immense stress is not given at the last moment.
Faculty: The faculty is great; it cannot be better; the syllabus is completed on time. Revision class tests are taken too. The internal questions are of the same difficulty as university questions. The professors guide and provide relevant questions for practice.
Other: The college provides us with all the facilities; festivals are held annually; freshmen are held; and every occasion of every religion is given equal value.

Our college is good in terms of education.
Placements: Our college had not provided any placements for our batch. Career counseling was supposed to happen, but due to covid, it had not carried out properly.
Infrastructure: The library and laboratory facilities were excellent. Most classrooms were air-conditioned and had ample seating for students. Classrooms were well-equipped with projectors, green boards, and air-conditioners. Our college had three different libraries, and one library was for our department.
Faculty: Some teachers were good. They conducted regular classes, regular exams, lab sessions, and proper assessment methods through projects. They helped us with a lot of things related to our studies.

Honest review of the Asutosh College for Psychology honors .
Placements: Students get a chance at a good institute for a Masters. No such placement occurs. Students here study for higher studies. An internship is mandatory in a 4-year course. Students have to do at least one internship according to NEP guidelines. After higher studies, students are placed as psychologists.
Infrastructure: There is a good laboratory, classrooms and library. Good canteen facilities and a common room are there. Many good students with good board marks get admitted to the college so competition is high but by studying well, anyone can score well.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and knowledgeable. The course curriculum is very relevant to the present day. Yes, semester exams are indeed very difficult. After NEP, the courses are more applied and relevant to the present-day industry. Studying at CU is hard because of its syllabus.

Absolutely satisfied with my decision.
Placements: In my department, there are 80+ students, and the teaching methods are amazing. The teachers are student-friendly, and the seniors are super friendly and helpful. Every year, our college organizes a summer internship. I chose psychology as my subject, and the college is one of the best in Kolkata for this field.
Infrastructure: The college has three buildings, and each one has its own library. There's also a gymnasium, and the labs are located in the main building. The classrooms are spacious, and the food in the canteen is of good quality and tasty. The college also actively promotes games and sports.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful, and their teaching methods are excellent. They address our queries, though the practical exams are a little tougher than theory. I find the practical classes interesting, as it’s my first time experiencing them. The teachers make it easy for us to understand the subject.

No, you don't need to have mathematics at +2 level for studying psychology Honors . Minimum 60% score in average in +2 board examinations from any stream is the prerequisite for pursuing BA in psychology honors.
