Mandatory Subjects : Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics
Candidate must have aggregate 50%, Chemistry: 45%, Passed in Mathematics and Physics. Candidates who has passed the 10+2 or its equivalent examination is eligible to apply provided he/she has also passed in English having full marks not being less than 100. No candidate shall be allowed for admission after a lapse of more than 3 years from the year of passing the previous qualifying examination or discontinuation of recognized regular Course of Study after passing the previous qualifying examination. For the purpose of determining eligibility for admission to the Honours Course, aggregate marks shall be calculated by adding the marks in top-four subjects in order of marks secured by a candidate. However, marks in compulsory Environmental Education /Studies shall not be taken into account for calculation of aggregate marks.

Asutosh College is very student-friendly.

Placements: The average percentage of students placed in our course is low. There is no package offered in our course. No companies are coming for our course. There is no internship from our course. We just get the graduation degree from this course. No other extra facilities are there.

Infrastructure: Facilities are good, but some of the faculty members are very rude in behavior. Otherwise, most facilities are very helpful, and they teach well. They take extra classes and help us a lot to score good marks in exams. They teach all the things properly.

Faculty: Teaching quality is good, and faculty members are highly qualified. This course does not make students industry-ready. Clearing the semester is not very easy. Very few students can clear all the semesters; otherwise, many students get supplies. The course is very tough.

Review of Asutosh College.

Placements: As the course I have chosen is a completely generalized course, there are very few chances or almost no chances of placement in any college without Masters. But here, people can grow themselves for further opportunities. You can get chances in better universities for higher studies.

Infrastructure: The faculty, professors, labs, everything is absolutely amazing. Very nice ambience. Excellent professors and their teaching processes. Labs have sufficient materials available always to perform course experiments. Better opportunities for higher studies.

Faculty: Nice. It completely depends on your choice whether you would opt for Science courses or not. If you love to go for this career option then this is one of the best colleges of Calcutta University. I have spent the most beautiful 3 years of my life during the graduation.

Good faculty but very bad placement procedure.

Placements: Our college lacks a proper placement cell and procedure. Sometimes, a few job fairs are organized by our college, but only a few of our students are able to get any placement offer from there. The highest salary you can expect is 2 to 2.5 LPA. It is better to apply for off-campus jobs.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is not so great. The building is old and dusty. The classrooms are small and clumsy. Labs are there, but they lack a few important chemicals. We don't have a library on our campus. There is no hostel in our college, but we have a decent canteen behind our college.

Faculty: The curriculum of our course is really good as it follows the latest syllabus of Calcutta University. The faculty members are also good, but sometimes they are rude to the students. The semester exams in our college are not too hard, but you need to study thoroughly.

The curriculum and faculty is great, but the infrastructure and placement cell needs improvement.

Placements: Asutosh College does not have an independent placement cell. However, sometimes the college organizes a few job fests or fairs, in which a few companies visit and hire a handful of candidates. But you need to have a good CGPA. You can expect a salary between 2 to 4 LPA.

Infrastructure: Asutosh College campus is one of the oldest campuses of Kolkata. The building is very old and furnished. Although the management is trying to improve the infrastructure, it still has a very long way to go. The classrooms are decent but a bit small. We do not have a hostel in our college.

Faculty: The course curriculum is the only thing that attracts into our college, and it is actually really good. All the important topics are included in the curriculum which makes the students industry-ready as well. The teachers are also good and well qualified. The semester exams are not that hard but are sometimes tricky. So you need to study properly.

Review of Asutosh College.

Placements: The placement cell of our college is not that developed yet. However, recently some companies have started visiting our campus for recruitment. The highest salary package offered in our course was 7 LPA, whereas the average package offered was 3 LPA.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is very bad. The college building is very old, and the classes have limited space. Our labs also lack some required facilities. We have a canteen inside our college, and various food items are available there. We do not have a hostel in our campus.

Faculty: The course curriculum of our college is really good. They do make the students industry ready. The teachers of our college are really qualified and have good teaching qualifications. They help the students with all their doubts. The semester exams of our college are moderately difficult.
