B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering - Batch of 2018
Offered by AWH Engineering College

Review of AWH Engineering College.
Placements: About 60% of students got placed in my batch. It is easy to get a job, but internships are usually less. The fee is attractive compared to other colleges. Those who pass out with a good score will get placed. Many companies come here, but we can't get placed. Overall, it is good.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure needs to be improved because the mechanical students need to learn things practically. The teachers have the limit to explain. Games, food, hostels, and medical facilities are good enough. The mess fee is less, that's really an advantage. Overall, I can give it about 3 stars.
Faculty: The quality of exams is important, and they provide a good environment for exams. Good questions are asked in papers. Exams are easy for those who study well and attend the classes. Multiple choice questions seem to be tricky, and those questions are much harder. Overall, exams conducted are good.
Other: I chose mechanical engineering with my interest. There is no need to improve the course, as the course is okay. I really miss my campus life, my best friends and teachers. Fests are okay but need to be improved. Campus surrounding are friendly and have fresh air. Water facilities are good.

Satisfied with the faculty and infrastructural facilities but it is very poor in placements.
Placements: The placements being offered in our college are mainly from BPO services and other IT firms, so it is very hard for a mechanical engineer to get placed from here, even though we have a placement cell working well in our college from which other branches like EC,CS and IT can make use of it.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure facilities being provided are great for the mechanical students. We have a separate block for the mechanical branch having all the lab facilities including mechanical workshop, thermal lab, production lab, CAD lab etc, which are provided with expert lab assistants and great faculty members.
Faculty: AWH Engineering College comes under the University of Calicut. We have a good course curriculum which is even immense upon those who want to be an engineer to his society.
We have knowledgeable faculty members who are having postgraduate degree, and are well-trained and experienced too.

Overall, its infrastructure and campus life are decent, with a good canteen and Wi-Fi.
Placements: Placements are available. More than 50 companies come to recruit graduates. The lowest salary offered is around Rs. 10000 per month, and the highest is Rs. 250000 per month. Top recruiting companies include Nissan. Internships are also offered. About 60% of students get placed every year.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available. A canteen is available. It has a library with a large collection of books. It has a big parking area. There are several labs with up-to-date facilities. Hostel services are available for both girls and boys. The food is free for hostel students.
Faculty: Exams are strictly conducted on time, and the exams are based on self-assessment. Teachers are well aware of the topics to be covered, and they complete their classes on time. Teachers help students if they encounter any problems while studying. Proper notes are also given.

Absolutely a good college in terms of infrastructure, studies and everything.
Placements: It is one of the institutions in Calicut with good infrastructure. Many students get placed in different companies. Atleast 60% of students get placed. More than 10 companies come for placements. Engineering courses are better on the basis of KTU University. The syllabus contains the needful part of education. Placements are done in the college itself for different branches by well-known companies in India. Extracurricular activities are also going well.
Infrastructure: The college building has five blocks, with state-of-the-art facilities. The infrastructure includes spacious, well ventilated and well-furnished classrooms, drawing halls and computer and internet facilities accessible to all staff and students. The college has a dedicated 11KV HT line and a standby diesel.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful, very well qualified and knowledgeable. Semester exams are moderate and helpful to improve your skill management. The college environment is good. Many courses like B.Tech, M.Tech, MCA and Polytechnic are provided with different branches. The boys' hostel is not very good. It's only average.
Other: I recommend this college to everyone.

Decent infrastructure and campus life.
Placements: Some companies are conducting interviews, few students got placement. The companies visiting here are not the best ones but they are good for freshers. Don't choose the college only to get placed within the campus.
Infrastructure: Decent infrastructure and peaceful atmosphere. The construction is still in progress but it is at halt at the moment due to some court issue. The college is located in a forest like environment.
Faculty: Good faculty members are lots of other activities are conducted. Faculty is well educated and knowledgeable. They are experienced. An average student can get marks just by attending the classes.
