Q:   Is B.A. at B.D. College worth the investment?

A:
{Source: B.A. students & alumni}

Based on student reviews and feedback, here's a summary of what you can expect:

Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is average, with decent classrooms, a spacious library, and labs with basic equipment. However, there is no hostel facility available on-campus.

Faculty: Teachers are generally helpful, knowledgeable, and well-qualified (Ph.D. holders). They offer one-on-one guidance and have a good teaching quality.

Course Curriculum: While the course may not be directly related to industry requirements, it prepares students for further studies and government exams.

Placement: Unfortunately, placements are limited due to the non-professional nature of the course. Around 30-35% of students did find jobs, with the highest package being INR4 Lacs per annum and the average package being INR2 Lacs per annum.

Internship: As the course is not professionally-oriented, internship opportunities are scarce.

Campus Life: The college has a balance between academics and extracurricular activities, offering sports, games, and NCC programs. Canteen services are available, although food quality is reported to be subpar. Medical facilities are not available within the campus premises.

Value for Money: Considering the limitations mentioned above, whether or not B.A. at B.D. College is worth the investment depends on individual goals and expectations. For those interested in pursuing higher studies or preparing for government exams, this college might be suitable. However, for those seeking direct industry connections or lucrative job offers, another institution might be more beneficial.

Absolutely dissatisfied because of the bad teaching system at the college.
Placements: In this college, we had no placements. This college has no placement system. Just study and get passed or fail; that doesn't matter; they will not provide any placement. If you pass the examination, go and find a job yourself. They are not going to provide any placements.
Infrastructure: There is no wi-fi in the college. Labs are just for names only; they don't have proper equipment. Many of the desks and benches in the classroom are in broken condition. The library is also so small. They don't have many books there. They don't have any ground. Welfare facilities are also not up to par.
Faculty: They did not teach properly at the college. We studied from our coaching institutes and guess papers. Professors just come and give us a paper on which they have written notes and tell us to either copy in the notebook or take a picture on the phone. And once we are done with this, they leave. They don't explain the topic.
Other: I chose this course because I am good at physics. But I learned nothing from this college. And the coaching institute also did not teach well. As a result, I became very weak in physics and mathematics.

The college is for a normal B.Sc course.
Placements: None of the students got placed as our college doesn't have any placement cell. Many of the students opted for higher studies or for other general exams. Our B.Sc course gave me an opportunity in the education sector as well as in engineering. Companies did not visit our college as there is not much outside interaction between our college and companies.
Infrastructure: There is no Wi-Fi, and the college labs are always closed. Classrooms are good, and the library is better than the infrastructure of our college. There is no hostel. The canteen is not available in our college, but there are many stores outside for daily needs near the college. The college has a first-aid kit, which is used when needed, but sports and games are not available.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified, and most of them are PhD holders. They help students in any way they can. Classes are not regular, but they are pretty good. The curriculum is up to the mark for nowadays needs. It can't make students industry-ready, but it helps to gain knowledge which is a must.
Other: I have chosen this course because I wanted to pursue theoretical physics being a profession. The best thing about this course is it makes you aware of how everything we do in physics. Regular classes and lab experience would make the course better as the college lacks in both. There is a scholarship for reservations as well as girls. Normal events like independence day, college foundation day, teacher's day, etc., occur here. The area is not good as there is a dumping site near the college, and it is quite difficult to find the college as it is located in a remote area of the city.

College is too good for student who dreams big.
Placements: The placement rate for this college is quite good. The highest, lowest and average package offered is around Rs 30 lakhs, 9 lakh and an average of Rs12 lakh. The top recruiting companies usually come for placement purposes. 50 above percent of students got internships from my course and many companies for example Tata, Reliance, etc.
Infrastructure: The quality of food in the mess is very good and most important the canteen was so clean. The medical facilities are also too good. Sports facilities is good. The infrastructure of the college is too good. The whole campus is wifi enabled.
Faculty: The teacher is very helpful, qualified highly and has great knowledge. The teaching quality of teachers is very good and excellent. Course curriculum makes ready to students in the industry. My course is very relevant. No difficulty with semester exams. Work hard and be ready for the exam.

Our college has very good faculty. A good college for admission.
Placements: About 50-60% of students were placed by our college. The highest package offered was Rs 2,00,000 while the average package was Rs 1,20,000 and the lowest package offered in my course was 60,000. There are many companies that visited our college frequently for placements. About 60-70% of students got internships from our course in electrical companies. The top roles offered were teaching and CEO.
Infrastructure: Facilities are above average in our college. The labs are well-maintained and the classrooms have many fans and a large board. There were too many benches for the student to sit in. The library id huge and the food quality is good enough. Sports teacher is not too good but he gives his best.
Faculty: Yes, teachers are very helpful, They always try to clear the doubts of every student, even in online classes. they give private classes to weak students. Teaching quality is awesome in our college.  They make the students industry ready.
Other: I chose this course because I want to become a professor in a foreign country. The best thing about my course is it leads me to invent something new. If there would have more resources, our course could be better. Events are very important in our college and the campus is huge. Our college is highly crowded but its surrounding is neat and clean. Scholarships are very hard to earn here. The college conducts extracurricular activities for both and girls.

I had an excellent experience in this college, and administration level should be grown.
Placements: Students get an average salary package in placements, and not many students get a job here. I think our college should give more attention to the campus selection.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi facility is not properly working. Labs are average, and lab assistants are less knowledgeable. Classrooms are good. The library is the worst. Quality of the food served is bad. Our college does not provide sports facilities and medical facilities. The college should invest in infrastructure, but they don't think about it as the administration is ineffective.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are well-qualified. They are not helpful and very arrogant. The course curriculum is not enough as in the old days the value of the course is decreased, and we need to do other courses with it like MBA, etc. Faculty members are not very good here.
